mitchermitcher
http://www.theverge....sony-ps-vita-tv TGS streamed like, just now, and aside from some announcements(PSVita new model, LCD instead of OLED screen, smaller, longer battery. Guilty Gear Xrd more footage), we have this. Essentially, a Vita system you hook into your TV and play with your dualshock 3 instead. Before you say this is just ***** needless recycling, look at that price. If you already have a vita, and you want to stream stuff, you can now. Otherwise, not exactly anything good for vita owners, but the fact that you can play Senran Kagura Persona 4 Golden on your tv is pretty cool. If you don't have a vita, do consider, as this is cheap(and sounds better than the 2DS to be perfectly honest), and then the memory cards price drop. Short summary found on 4chan about TGS for the curious: >Vita 2000 model confired, will release in Japan next month >New Pantasy Star game "Phantasy Star Nova: confirmed for Vita >Danganronpa 3(?) confirmed for Vita >JP PS4 launch confirmed for February 22nd >FFXIV beta to launch along with JP PS4 launch (I assume the western version will be at the same time) PS4 version will be free to those who have the PS3 verison >Dynasty Warriors 8 PS4 confirmed >Earth Defence Force PS4 and Dream Club PS4 annouced >Gundam PS4 and Idolmaster PS4 confirmed >New SRPG, "Natural Doctrine" confirmed for PS4/PS3/PSV >PSVita TV announced, can play PSVita games (so long as they dont make heavy use of the touch screen), PSP games, and PS Classic games. Can also be used as a remote play device for the PS4, will cost around $100 >Deep Down gameplay shown >As for everything else, wait for TGS next week. I understand that most people here prefer Nintendo and all(From what I see), but just to provide some Sony insight in case people care...Probably no one cares sadly D: So, opinions on Vita TV? Nicο
I'm still not interested in the great majority of Vita games available here. Maybe for PSP or something, because I already have a PS3, which I use for PS1 games far more than PS3 ones.
Wizarus
Vita playing MMOs is actually pretty huge. I mean I already know it can do this(PSO2) but still.
Tentacruel
Man, maybe I shouldn't have bought a Vita right after the price drop.
Azuh
I don't really understand the market for the Vita at all. Why put MMOs on the thing when its for handheld? I see everyone playing a DS on the train, about 30 minute rides and then they switch off til the ride home. I dont really see anyone playing MMOs for just 30 minutes game time. If you're just going to connect it to a tv, why don't you just buy a PS4?
mitchermitcher
Man, maybe I shouldn't have bought a Vita right after the price drop. Hey, at least you bought it after a price drop. I was greedy and impatient for my Persona 4 Golden, and bought it back in....March, or February I can't recall. All that monehz down the drain D: I don't really understand the market for the Vita at all. Why put MMOs on the thing when its for handheld? If you're just going to connect it to a tv, why don't you just buy a PS4? Depends on the type of MMO. Say, League of Legends, one game would be around 30 minutes, so that works. I don't quite know how PSO2 plays, but possibly it's a type of game you can play in short sessions as well as long sessions. Plus it's pretty huge in japan, so they're potentially selling it through that(And the prospect of PSO2 on a non-PC is pretty cool, I would imagine). Also the prospect of playing an MMO while in bed is cool(Since PSO2 is huge as shit and would require a good desktop PC to run well). And a Vita TV is cheaper and has different games than the PS4 so there's that(And you know, cross-saving between playing on TV, and then later playing on the vita in bed if you have one). Tentacruel
I just realized, this would totally make let's plays on Vita much easier to do. I might get one for that.

If you ever import one, do tell me how it plays and all :D Since it's essentially still the vita it won't be region-locked, but there's no release date for overseas so far. I already have a PS3 and a Vita, but you know...Boobs Senran Kagura Persona 4 Golden on the big screen...
