Personal Information]
Character Name: Seichō Furawā
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Age: 18
Seichō Furawā is a quiet young man who intentionally ignores people. Social interaction is not his strong point, nor has he given much thought to it. Anyone who has ever met Seichō Furawā typically leaves him be. Because he is so unnaturally invulnerable to social interaction, he is found sitting in the far back of the room, or remaining at the back of the group. In sports and academics, Seichō has greatly excelled, since he spends most, if not all of his free time studying. He has only let in one individual, a female named Hikari Hanabira. She shares his love for nature, and they can always be found outside admiring the flowers together. Many people believe he loves her, simply because of his indifference towards all others, but they have yet to indicate any type of relationship-like activity. Seichō spends sixty percent of his time in the library, mostly studying books about nature: Analyzing the difference between the growth process of flowers; How some trees shape different from other trees; But more commonly than not, how to maximize the effect of spores and synthesizing materials acquired from plants. The other forty percent is spent training his abilities, which he believes were gifted to him by the Gods of Nature.

Seichō believes that by harnessing nature and the elements which it appropriates, one can develop a power beyond artificial development. Nature is around everyone, and because of this, it is nearly, if not absolutely, endless in supply. Each individual plant, tree, flower, bush, and so on possess their own life. They obtain this life from the Earth itself, which in turn, receives energy from the sun. The sun receives its power from the life force emitted from each and every individual thing on Earth. While this is scientifically false, Seichō stands firm to this belief, and refuses to acknowledge otherwise. In other words, to him, life is an endless cycle of give and take. Some people take a greater life force than others in order to live, such as the old. Because of that, young people become older, and age. The older eventually cannot receive enough life force because too much is being omitted to other individuals, and they die, which gives more life force to the young. Each death spreads across each person and provides them more life, until eventually, that life drains and the process begins again. When too much life is being taken, and the world cannot sufficiently provide it, natural disasters are meant to occur in order to reduce the population and even out the process. While Seichō's belief is beyond absurd, no one will bother to question it because he is impenetrably stubborn.

No human, aside from those who also possess special abilities, know much of his abilities. He is typically very quiet about himself, and keeps his abilities to a minimum in school sparring practices. In order to keep his abilities at bay, Seichō has spent the majority of his training on strictly Taijutsu. Seichō is one of the top ten Taijutsu-only fighters in his age bracket, yet never takes pride in it. Needless to say, Seichō doesn't care much for anything aside from nature and Hikari.
So apparently, I'm kind of insane for trying to make a whole new fictional weapon for my character to use. Please, if you have any questions, ask away; best to clear any misconceptions now.
Personal Information
Character Name: Lumine Thuris
Race: Merfolk
Sex: Female
Age: 20
Lumine is an optimistic, energetic young lady. If she is depressed about something, she tries to overcome it and stay upbeat, even if she can only muster a facade. She finds herself enjoying herself the most when with other people, and working with others. In fact, she tends to work harder if it benefits people other than herself. She tends to make her decisions impulsively, if one sees her in thought about a choice, it's either a real dilemma or she's merely thinking about how to implement her decision.

While she tends to want to help people, she has a love for material wealth and trinkets. If she helps someone and doesn't get payment for it, expect Lumine to be in a sour mood afterwards. Fortunately, Lumine is easy to satisfy, even something as simple as a homecooked meal constitutes 'payment' here, and recognition for her deeds can at least pacify her. And although she likes gathering wealth, do not trust her with large amounts of money; she's liable to spend it at a moment's notice

She has a solid moral core, a marked change from when she was younger. Back then, she was very self-centered. Nowadays, while she may indulge in a little theft if she needs food or something like that, she did not turn out to be a career thief. She holds life sacred, except for those who she considers unfit to live. Generally, only the most vile and unrepentant villians get shoved into that category. This has a side effect that picking a fight with Lumine is a generally bad idea: if one goes in with the intent to kill her, she will fight back with the same determination.

Lumine stands at an average height for a woman, not too short and not too tall. She is slightly on the thin side and is rather curvy, accentuated by the dancer's clothing she usually wears. As expected of a merfolk, she has blue skin and purplish hair, which she has styled into a short ponytail. While there are hints of muscle showing on her body, as a fighter, Lumine is unassuming, due to her fighting style. Overall, she doesn't look like she belongs on a battlefield at all.

Lumine has a youthful face, making her look a couple years younger than she actually is. Combined with her large blue eyes and small fin-ears, most would probably call her 'cute'. Her hair bangs frame her face from the top and sides in a kind of loose style, making quite the effect when Lumine dances. However, when she gets angry, Lumine's face sometimes shifts into something almost completely different; her pupils shrink and she starts scowling. The effect can be unnerving, though it hasn't happened too often...
Combat Information
Scrae Blades Shredder and Flare:
"Most Scrae call their blades their partners. After using these for awhile, I can see what they mean."
Scrae Blades are the traditional weapons of the Scrae Warriors. They can be forged to be of any shape, though to use them at their full potential, the weapons tend to be forged in a round, saucer-like shape, like deadly frisbees. Lumine uses two for battle, Shredder and Flare. Shredder is a sharp saucer, whose edges make it appear as a stylized sun. It's metal body show no other adornments, built to intimidate and to damage. Shredder is very sensitive to the wielder's movements, allowing Lumina to do much with it with minimal movement on her part. Flare is a round saucer with a hollow middle. Flare is a versatile Blade, specialized for casting spells. By targetting a spell into the concave portion of the Blade, it stores the spell that Lumine cast at a later time. Unique to Flare is the ability to cast the stored spell multiple times before needing another spell cast on it, allowing for on-demand spellcasting, or a focused barrage of spells.

Dancer's Blades:
"It's not like I can dance using Shredder and Flare, right?"
A pair of Dancer's Blades, these rounded saucers are adorned with various decorations in order to enchance the appeal of the show. These also are able to store spells, but unlike Lumina's Flare, they can only store very low-level spells, though they can store multiple spells - again, so they can be used during the dancer's performance. As such, these blades can hold charges for up to a week. Lumine's Dancer's Blades have been custom made to allow a single charge of a combat-worthy spell as an option, though that would be the only spell it could hold. Like most non-combat Scrae Blades, these do not have names.
ezmw0p.jpg
"Sometimes, I wish for something more protective... and then I realize I like these clothes."
Clothes custom made for Lumine for her performances, minus the head cloth and ring cloth from the picture. It's easy to move in, obviously, but otherwise it has no protective value. Sometimes swaps in a pair pants made from the same material, depending on her mood.

Shade Cloak:
"You wanna know where I got this? It's a secret...!"
A cloak that serves as Lumine's 'armor' of sorts. A simple brown cloak that's hardier than it appears, Lumine often wraps it around herself when travelling, concealing everything from the neck down to the area around her knees. There are two 'wristbands' sewn into the inner portion of the cloak, allowing it to become a cape she can manipulate, though to keep her movements free, she usually only uses one hand for that. It is enchanted, allowing it to serve as minor protection against blows and targetted magical spells, mainly by moving the cloak to deflect the attack. While she usually needs to use it actively to defend herself, the cloak does give Lumine a passive resistance against hitscan and AoE blanket spells, decreasing their potency in relation to how covered up she is, Needless to say, maximum protection can be gained by covering oneself completely in the cloak, but this kills any offense Lumine can muster.

Traveler's pack:
"Couldn't find anything nice today, either..."
A large-ish backpack that holds less that it seems, as Lumine generally travels with the bare minimum for travel. After all, Lumine needs the room so she can stuff it full of trinkets and/or treasure she may find along her travels.

Double Scrae Blade Sheath:
"Do you know how hard it was to find a sheath that holds four blades? This one is custom made!"
A sheath strapped to Lumine's back, containing all four of her Scrae Blades. It's in the shape of an 'X', allowing her to easily draw her tools at will.

Lockpick toolset:
"Lockpicks? What lockpicks?"
A set of lockpicks. Seems to be a part of a locksmith's toolset and are of good quality, to augment Lumine's otherwise average lockpicking skills.

Inspiration for the weapons can be found here: Link to Youtube video of a game.  Ignore the skill attacks; Lumine isn't that magical.  That would be how one would fight with a single Blade at short range, perhaps blocking with it and what not.  Now with that covered...

Fighting with Scrae Blades requires a bit more work than fighting with a more 'normal' weapon. It's comparable to using a magic boomerang, but with much more control. The basic idea is that the Scrae Blades move in relation to a part of the wielder's body: usually the hands. As such, the following descriptions will assume that the wielder controls the Blade with their hands. One begins with linking with a basic Blade, allowing him or her to control it. At this point, if one moves their hand left, the Scrae Blade moves with it. With only a little practice one can get the blade airborne and can use it as a proper weapon. But that's just the beginning.

There are three fundamentals when it comes to wielding Blades. Most wielders have practiced these countless times, as these are needed to actually make the Blade worthwhile when compared to others
- 1) Throw and Catch: The ability to change the distance between ones hand and the Blade. Sometimes you need to have your Blade further away from your person. Also helps in linking with a Blade, as the distance between ones hand and the blade generally isn't the same everytime.
- 2) Spin: Makes the Blade rotate at will. Rotating it makes it easier to move in arcs and makes most Blades more dangerous. The downside is precision movement in straight lines becomes tougher to do.
- 3) Rotate: Allows the blade to change position while maintaining the same distance from the hand. If someone is attacking to the side, it's easier to just move the blade to the side rather than turning one's entire body to the side.
Pretty much all of a Scrae's Warriors style is a mixing of these three concepts. How much they focus on each varies from person to person. When it come to Lumine, she makes heavy use of Spin and Rotate, but fights best at short-mid range. Dancing gives good practice for actual combat here, and she can be seen occasionally dancing during fights to guide her Blades.

In addition, Lumine can cast spells while fighting off an opponent with Shredder. She usually fight defensively to keep her for away from her in this case, though there have been times where Lumine went on the full offensive.

Lockpicking: Lumine is a decent lockpicker, and her tools make her more effective at unlocking.
Sneaking: Lumine's pretty good at moving quietly and hiding as well, though she lacks the nuances a career theif may have.
Dancing: Lumine actually had a dance teacher, and is pretty good at it. Her dances utilises alot of rotational movement. Where she really shines is when she dances while using her Blades to enhance the show she puts on. It's quite the sight.
Spellcasting: Combat magic is not Lumine's strong point at all, though it is effective when combined with Flare.
Lux Magic: When Lumine's magic strikes a target, a flash of light appears at the point of impact. Magic involving visual light is enhanced. Does not enhance spells in any other way, but it can be more intimidating.

Wind Draw: A practiced (can currently only be used for one purpose) technique that has Lumine channel a small amount of Wind magic to lift her cloak, while she draws her Blades without having to worry about them hitting her cloak.
Flare Cast: Casts a spell into Flare, even during combat. This can either be cast from Flare, or channeled into the Blade itself for various effects. Due to Flare's construction, it's difficult to 'catch' a spell unless the caster was aiming for Flare in the first place.
Triple Cast: If usable spells were prepared within the Dancer's Blades, and if Lumine is not manipulating Shredder, she can use her free hand to juggle the two Dancer's Blades and release magic attacks from multiple points simultaneously. Since the Dancer's Blades can only hold a single charge of magic, this can only be used once before Lumine has to prepare the spells again.

Normal Cast
Radiance: Causes the area within about 25 foot radius around Lumine becomes brightly lit. [Instant Cast]
Light Show: Shows a pattern of colored lights. Highly customizable. [Short Cast]
Flash: Fires a projectile that emits a bright flash once it hits a target. Looking into this light can cause temporary blindness for up to 2 seconds. [Short Cast]
Bang: Causes an explosion at a target [Medium Cast]
Whoosh: Basic wind magic that can create tornadoes to attack foes with. [Short Cast]
Buff: Increases target's defense [Short Cast]

Flare Cast
Radiance: Flare becomes a flashlight capable of lighting up objects 50 feet away.
Light Show: Shows a pattern of colored lights released from the Blade. Usually used with the Dancer's Blades for Lumine's performances.
Flash: Flare flickers, then emits a bright flash. As per the normal flash, this one can cause temporary blindness.
Bang: Explodes things that Flare touches
Whoosh: Strong gusts of wind come from Flare
Buff: Flare becomes a shield, being able to block physical blows. Effective protective area is twice Flare's diameter.

Other Information
Scrae Warriors were originally few in number, but became more well known during the Great Warrior-King's time, where most of them fought for Alfheim with him. It had become sort of a fad for the next couple of decades, due to the exotic fighting style. Most people who studied it honestly sucked at it, and wanted to wield Blades for their cool factor. Thus, the novelty had started to die down within the last couple of years... though the amount of people who utilized Scrae Blades in one way or another (like dancers), have multiplied since the war.

If one would ask the master of a Blade if their weapons utilized magic, they'd say no. How the blades truly work on a theoretical level is a jealously guarded secret that most Warriors don't even know, as the basics are intuitive. Only when training to be an instructor are these secrets revealed.
Lumine was originally an orphaned street urchin before being noticed by a master Scrae Warrior and taken to learn the art when she was 15. There may still be people who hold a grudge against her for something she stole.
