I believe it would be safe to assume that either

  • There are speakers inside the base for announcements
  • They have devices to talk to each other with.

I believe the idea of having devices to talk to each other wouldn't be prudent for the Foundation. It leaves too much possibility for people to steal one and/or hack into the frequency being used for the devices.

However, I think a speaker based system, closed circuit of course, would be much more favorable. Anything long distance would be done via disposable mobile phone and/or mutant powers which allows long distance communications like telepathy.

Wondered how i can post my entry to the fact am a wandering mutant. Any ideas?

Well if you're a wandering mutant you can go with one of two options.

  1. Avoiding capture
  2. Finding a place to rest

Hmm...

Right now I'm trying to imagine the topology of the Foundation's base.  I initially imagined everything was underground, but I had to change that notion because in that case Brennan's actions (and interaction with Marina) don't make any sense.  So right now I'm guessing that there are two or three 'entrances', or maybe that Marina was actually at an offsite storage facility for things that need to be carefully preserved.

I'm guessing that Foundation members do need to head out of the base for domestic matters - after all, they do have their own independent state to run.

Okay, I want to make another character, but I'm too tired to make another app.

Her name is Milli Devontine. She is 7 years old, and she is considered to be like a sister figure to Brennen. She was born near the Vanguard headquarters and was raised to be one, but when her parents found out she had mutant powers, they put her in hiding and tried to train her to not use them, but failed. They then decided to secretly bring her to Genesis on a rowboat, but when they reached the island, she went insane and killed them both with her powers. The blood was mostly covered up when Brennen found her covered up in her blanket, shivering in the rocks. Since then, Milli depends on Brennen if she's in peril, despite her dangerous secret.

As for her powers, she can manipulate shadows, but only within the perimeters of the shadow (she cannot stretch the shadow where there is sunlight.) However, because of her age, she does not use it, and when she does, she has no control over it.

Okay since I'm a co-host I'm going to be giving everyone a certain "direction" that they can either head off of or do their own thing

I'd prefer you guys to do your own thing, but I understand if everything is a little confusing- remember, always keep in mind what you want YOUR character's final goal to be.

Is he or she wanting to become the worlds more powerful mutant?

Maybe they just want to live in peace? If so, how are they going to achieve that with the mutant hunters after them?

Keep those things in mind and remember, sometimes your goals can't be achieved without sacrificing the goals of another player- so try to outwit everyone, host and co-hosts included.

But enough of that! You guys want a sending off point. Very well . . .

  • Vanguards are most likely scouring the entire planet, in squadrons, looking for any mutant. They are probably achieving this through the news and/or word of mouth. Of course there is a possibility that they have some kind of device to track mutants so long as they are using their powers, so keep that in mind.
    • If the Vanguard should find a mutant they will most likely attempt to capture mutant unless it proves to be too powerful, in which you'll radio for reinforcements.
  • Those in "The Foundation" have been given a break after a long series of training in order to combat the Vanguards, leaving the base temporarily understaffed; this doesn't mean they cannot defend the base until reinforcements arrive.
    • Your character can either be heading back home, at home, or has decided to remain at the base for various reasons either disclosed or undisclosed- personal or otherwise
  • Any Nexian is going to be on Queen Elizabeth Island and currently hiding. If you want interaction with the outside world you will have to bravely venture forth and exit the island and enter the cruel world of the common man.
    • If you remain on the island any and all interactions are going to be with other people on the island. Possibly discuss rumors about the other two factions? Train? What about discovering the food rations are running out and that is why there is going to be an expedition to the mainland?

Pick and choose people, pick and choose . . . but do it wisely.

And, please note, that unless Tormented himself tells me no, I AM going to attempt to murder characters whenever I have the chance or generally f*ck up your perceived plans.

Why?

Because you can always make another character and I think it adds more enjoyment to everyone, mainly me, when there is an actual threat.

The Nexians and Vanguards have only two people in them respectively atm, so either one. I'm going to be creating another character at some point to join the Vanguards to allow me to roleplay more effectively.

And Jake I don't want people to have their characters to die off unless they have to by that I mean I want people to condone the killing and if they are ready to create a new character. If they die this means that they might get put off the RP therefore we should be focusing on doing things that affect the story.

On a slightly more serious note you guys can use the OOC to kind of "plan" what you are doing so if you are struggling to get used to the world etc, a good place to start would be meeting up with people for example I gave the idea of having the leader of Vanguards call for a meeting and then you can assign teams to allow for RPing to become more solid. Also if you could give an update on the location of your character at the end of each post that'd be wonderful.

Will there be a summary due to the fact i lost time in homework and other really important life issues, it will take me more time reading all posts to catch on, if there is no summary.

I played a bit this the history of mutants, tell me if i am not supposed to do that.
Quote:

"You think you're the only ones who matter. You think you can put off death. But that peace made you foolish and thoughtless. If you kill someone, someone else will kill you… this hatred binds us together. I want you to feel pain, to think about pain, to accept pain, to know pain."
Personal Information:

Character Name: Liero Dondo X-Name: Pain

Sex: Male

Age: 17
As a child, Dondo was a sensitive, kind boy, prone to crying, and was traumatized by the idea of killing others, even if it was to save his enemy. Scared and unsure of his place in the world, he desired to help those he cared about, but never knew how. He was consistently respectful and kind, who they claimed to be their "angel" in his home town He was usually seen protecting himself, without request or hesitation from anyone, he was always with love of learning how to defend off bullies but as at soft heart, he would have a hard time learning that he would be able to punch/hurt someone, but due to his friend he was forced into actions that hurt others. He hates violence with a passion and fears to hurt others, thus he isolated himself.

                                                                                                         ***

As he grew things happened so fast, Dondo became very cold at heart, callous, and dispassionate figure, and rather aloof, brooding, and indifferent, willing to harm both his comrades and enemies should they get in his way. He refereed to anyone he didn't find interesting as "trash", and treated them as expendable. Despite this, he was still not particularly violent, and will only fight when was provoked.

ulquiorra_cifer__human_by_mrinsomnia2212

A slender, yet fairly muscular, male, average height with a melancholic appearance. He has fairly short, messy black hair, pale white skin, and green eyes. Part of his bangs falls between his eyes, and he has distinctively thick eyebrows. He has teal make-up lines which descend from the lower part of his eyes. His facial expression rarely changes, though he is almost always frowning. He wears: a white jacket, black belt, and a white pants. However, his jacket has longer coattails and the collar is higher.

The details of Dondo's birth are not known exactly; all that is known for certain is that he was found as an infant roughly three years before the events of a War that ranged on for days but soon ended, as he was left long for death, soon he was taken in for adaption by an old couple with no children of their own to depend on.

The other villagers became afraid, however, since Dondo appeared to age from being an infant to apparently growing fast in his late teens in eight years. This was compounded when he discovered, one day, that he now was a freak. Dondo was now identified as a Gear/tool essentially, a living weapon of mass destruction. This was especially troubling as a hundred-year war against Mutants had just ended five years ago. Dondo's foster parents hid her in a grove in the woods, but he was soon discovered and subjected to abuse at the hands of his captors. He quickly escaped, and the government issued a 10,500,000 World-Dollar bounty for his death with some kind of body proof.

Mutant Class: BETA
Gravitational Control

The capability to manipulate gravity to his own command and will as similar to mind control, due to the fact he could make things as heavy or light weight, pull or push, force fields, anything known of what gravity could do. Having the power of gravity comes with the draw back of as being in the ocean deep under the water as feeling it;s  your body is being pressured due to the fact of using the ability this results in how long he would be using his abilities, this can as well result to death if no training has been applied though this results after use.
Other Information
Fighting Style/Abilities:

Manipulation as to moving objects, Leiro has some military training in hand-to-combat and is capable of holding his own in a fight, though he prefers the use of his mutant powers in most combat situations.

Weaponry/Equipment/Items

Helmet:Capabilities

  • Telepathic Resistance/Immunity: The helmet protects its wearer from all but the strongest or most unexpected of telepathic attacks. This is achieved due to technology wired into the helmet itself.
Edited.

Name: Safree London
Age: 21
Race(?): Mutant/Human
Powers:

Safree using a frightening tongue whip made from fluid. Also, she has been known to take control of kinetic energy and bend it to her will, however doing so makes her an asshole(moody) for six hours. safree also has an unbelievable sense of smell and she can communicate with reptiles with gestures. Terribly, safree is well-known for being sticky, a great God-memory(have the mind similar to computer) .

Weapon: Anything: Based on the new mission.
Personality: Safree is rather inconsiderate, and can rarely tell or determine when she has said something that may have been rude or uncalled for. With this, she also does not seem to care much for others feelings on the outside, though deep down it would appear she is generous as well as passionate for the things she cares for. When given the motivation for anything, she works harder than most of the boys/girls, and will not give up until she has what it is she is after.
Faction: The Vanguards of Humanity
Rank: Rockie-Recruited (still denying)
Mutant Class: BETA

Fair enough, though to be honest I never planned on having William nor any of my other characters actively search for people to kill.

Also if you could give an update on the location of your character at the end of each post that'd be wonderful.

I am currently at some gas station in the middle of no where. William and Aya are still inside the cafeteria for the Foundation.

I'm at a restaurant called "The Dancing Dragon" with someone else's character.

If there's any foundation types wanting to do something (fighting), I'm planning on having Marina's main lab being broken into, and having her chase down the culprits.

Can the storage be close to your lab, because i will plan my character to head there as to gain something. If it's close then damage will be done and so thus.

I believe it would be expected for the storage facility to be near the lab, I don't think people would want to be walking up and down stairs with highly toxic chemicals in your hand, so I believe it would be safe to assume the storage is near the lab.

So this was hard to figure out semantically but lets give a shot.

What's an X-Men Rp without Sentinels lol

[spoiler: Sylvia Noir]
Personal Information:
Character Name: Sylvia Noir
Sex: Female
Age: 37

[spoiler: Personality:] Sylvia tries her hardest to be a friend, but due to her actual lack of practice in the sorts she's pretty new to the concept. She is perfectly capable of retaining information and book smarts, but at the price that she lacks a lot of levels of common sense. Sarcasm is wasted on her because she doesn't experience empathy or an emotional attachment to those who try to bond with her. She does attempt humor though. It tends to be nerdy and often off putting, but those who would call her friend can respect the effort. In terms of mutants her intellectual curiosity is peaked by the myriad of different abilities that mutants are gifted with. Though unfortunately her mutation doesn't seem to be that eventful. Sylvia is very strict and stern however when it comes to her work. Forms are turned in on time, research is always being done. A very strict rule follower to the core.
[spoiler: Appearance] Regular Transformed Mutant mode
[spoiler: Bio:] Sylvia Noir grew up as a child prodigy. She was one of those child geniuses who blew through college at the age of 16. By the age of 22 she had earned her first Doctorate in Engineering, was an established researcher, and had published many papers of the sort. Of course for some mysterious reason this did not make finding a job any easier for her. She always knew she could fall back on a teaching position at an established university, but why do that if you just want to sink into the depths of despair. No she had to figure out another way. She never connected that her logical personality flaws stunted her growth in the job market. At the age of 26 she had earned another Ph.D in advanced robotics and she was employed as a researcher at an ivy league institution. Riding the thin line that teaching and researching were for some odd reason different things she delved head first into the mutant debate. She often wondered why there were some many polarizing views on the subject. She was naturally envious of how these super powered mutants and their abilities. So many of her research projects growing up would have gone so much more smoothly had she developed some kind of abilities.

One day she had lazily showed up to work and had decided to amuse herself with a totally different field of science, Physics. Just for fun she would read papers by other noted researchers just to consider herself well rounded. This time she lucked up on String Theory. How interesting this article was. She was immersed in it to the point that she found herself reading more and more. Delving and understanding more. She needed to read more and more on this strange science. Soon papers began to litter the floor and she seemed to be looking at them on the floor. Then...she made a startling revelation. She had long ago stopped reading on the floor by choice she was doing it because she was forced too. Somehow she turned into a cat! This was amazing. And what was even better she had blown through what looked like 10 papers in what had to be minutes. Of course after the initial shock and fear subsided she instantly understood. She was a mutant and somehow her powers made her turn into a cat. Naturally she left her position post haste and began needing to do research on....well herself. But she couldn't stop with her she needed a way to study more mutants.

Doing her own independent, Sylvia came across the three factions amassing around the mutant issue. Logically she chose to align her services with the Vanguard. They were a government funded organization that would contain the mutants for her research. It only made sense ally herself with them. Maybe there are some neurobiologist she could buddy up with.

Combat Information:
Faction: Vanguards

Member Status: Newcomer

Mutant Class: Gamma

Mutant Powers: Sylvia Noir has the ability to process, retain, and learn new information at a hyper accelerated level. Her brain technically functions at a level higher the man most humans. The more she pushes herself though she the more her body tries to allocate this strain on the brain buy making the body more...compact. In short she turns into a cat. While in her cat like state she can process information faster than most supercomputers. She even calculated that at her prime at the age of 25 if she had discovered her mutant abilities she would have been able to perceive the "attosecond." Of course her abilities have waned severely since then but there aren't that many things she probably couldn't figure out.

[spoiler: Weapons]

[spoiler: Sentinel SN1 Monoaka]

Appearance

Equipment:
Containment Katana: A blade that emits the same energy signature and field as the Containment fields. While it can't negate a mutants innate abilities simply being near the blade weakens them.
Eye Lasers: Monoaka's eyes can shoot a high powered beam that has maximum distance of 10m.
Fighting Style: Monoaka was made for close range combat. Meaning she has been programmed with martial arts, swordsmanship, and a litany of programs to examine physiology of the human body.
[spoiler: Sentinel SN2 Fromage]
Equipment:
Rifle: Fully automatic submachine gun that has small but destructive armor piercing rounds and an adamantium blade for close range combat.
Desert Eagle: Two Desert Eagel .44 brushed Chrome Magnums
Ammo Deposits: There copious amounts of ammo cartridges located in Fromage's body.
Combat style: Fromage is programed for long range combat and total annihilation of subjects. She is programmed to use "gunkata" the art of fighting in close range battles with firearms.

Other Information

  • She has an unhealthy addiction to sweets. Hence the names of her sentinels are desserts.
  • Because the extremely conservative views of some Vanguard members are entertaining to her she made it so that the Sentinels look like nuns and will constantly quote biblical text
  • All Sentinels are 6'0" (2m) in height. She hopes that her contribution to the Vanguards  will be useful and they will give her the funding to mass produce the drones.
  • As a sense of irony for the first set of sentinels were given A.I. chips to see how they would develop on this bipolar world.

Well, Marina neutralized the immediate threat inside of the lab.  If you want to deal with the criminals on the way to storage, you can.  Place them anywhere between storage and the lab and Marina will catch up while (or after) you've dealt with them.  Planning on having the guy that Marina left behind to be the 'boss' of this encounter.

Great, i will do that and other. I hope the boss gets not in my post, i plan on having to deal with the criminality which i premise would be about a group(6-10 people), if not then i don't know.
