Squirrel Girl
Dont knkow if this has been done before, but I wanted to make one of these in any case Thor and Superman are both the Strongest characters in their respective Universes (Marvel and DC) But who would win a Death Battle? Thor: Or Superman: I'm not a hardcore comic fan. But I do know that these two are the strongest in their respective universe and know their powers are both out of this world powerful. Tormented
Superman because the writers would give him some powers to beat Thor.
Kyng's Old Account
TBH, no-one could really win against Superman. He's a prime example of God-modded Superheroes. You'd get more significant discussion comparing alternatives to overpowered characters. Superman topics are too one-sided because of obvious issues. Wizarus
Thor is a hardcore jobber(Superman jobs too, but not to the degree Thor does). Superman is more consistent so I'm going to give it to him, but Thor can cause some pain because his attacks are magic amped. Odin Force Thor destroys though. Sora1499
Superman looks like a total faget so Thor obvBut in all seriousness, Supes would trash his white Nordic ass. He's kinda insane like that.
:^)
Superman always wins, unfortunately. He has to hold back his full stength to make fights even.
Squirrel Girl
I haf to say Thor. Supermans advantage in the fight is his speed (which isn't that big of an advantage considering Thor has beaten faster opponent's before). Thor is stronger, more experienced, he got his Warrior's Madness, God blast and a hammer. His attacks are MAGIC, which is powerful agains't Superman. Superman doesn't stand a chance. Superman is NOT weak, just not strong enough to take out Thor.
Grunt Issun
Superman's strength is not his speed. Superman's strength is his speed, raw physical power, loads of super powers, and nigh invulnerability. Superman's strength is the fact that the only REAL ways to beat him are to give him an unparalleled thrashing at night, fight him in a red star system, or use kryptonite. Otherwise he wins. And that's all there is to it.
Shradow
His attacks are MAGIC, which is powerful agains't Superman. I'd like to clarify, magic isn't super effective against Superman. It's just one of the few things Superman isn't nigh invulnerable to.
Squirrel Girl
@Shradow Just to clarify things, I do know that. But we have to consider that Thor is a God and that his magic is one of the greatest there is. @True Issum Superman is strong, but he cant fight against Thor and come out on top. Maybe if Thor would lose his hammer and belt of strenght, which is higly improbable considering Mjölnir cant be taken from Thor unless he is unworthy or he throw the damn thing and Supes grab it and is seen worthy (which he probably aren't). And since Thor is physically stronger, more experienced, and that Supermans most powerful "powers" wont be effective against Thor, I wouldn't count that Supes would win. Tormented
Super Strength: Superman's strength was increased to the point where he could move entire planets. Flight: The character gained the power of true flight. Super Speed: Superman's speed increased to the point where he could travel faster than light. Several stories depict him traversing great distances through space to other solar systems and distant galaxies and even other universes. He could cross our own solar system in minutes. He could also use this power to travel through time, as shown in his boyhood visits to the 30th century as a member of the Legion of Superheroes. Superman can also swim at speeds approaching Aquaman's speed as well as run at speeds similar to that of the Flash. Superman is unable to beat Flash in a race. Invulnerability: By the 1970s, Superman became able to withstand an atomic explosion and even fly through the core of a star. He was also immune to non-Kryptonian diseases and all radiation except for that of a red sun or Kryptonite. Vision: In addition to X-ray vision and heat vision, Superman was also given telescopic and microscopic vision. The character could see across interstellar distances and observe events that occurred on a microscopic and even atomic level. He could also see across the full electromagnetic spectrum, including infra-red and ultraviolet light. Hearing: Superman could hear sound at almost any wavelength and at great distances. Super Breath: Superman's breath was capable of freezing objects and generating hurricane-force winds. He could also hold his breath indefinitely, allowing him to travel underwater or in space without breathing apparatus. Mental Powers: Superman possessed genius-level intelligence and an eidetic memory. These enhanced mental capabilities were a direct result of his exposure to a yellow sun, as evidenced by the depiction of Superman's dog, Krypto. While under a yellow sun, Krypto's intelligence was boosted to that of a typical human. Superman also possessed the mental ability to screen out the enormous amount of information received by his enhanced senses, and to focus on a single detail, such as a particular voice or location. As well, his speed reading abilities were much like that of the Flash. He was able to absorb large amounts of information quickly; whether it entered his short term or long term memory is hazy. Super Ventriloquism: Superman could throw his voice across great distances. This power was used to confuse enemies or protect his secret identity by tricking others into believing that he (or Clark Kent) was in a different location. Super Hypnotism: This power enabled Superman to hypnotize anyone. He could make people forget incidents or obey his commands. This power was often used to safeguard his identity. Stamina: Superman could survive indefinitely without food, water, or rest due to the yellow sun's radiation sustaining him. Healing factor: Superman could regenerate physical damage to his body at an accelerated rate. He was able to regenerate when Wonder Woman slit his throat with her tiara in Wonder Woman #219. In the series Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Superman regenerates his body after being reduced to near a skeleton by a special nuke that was designed to blot out sun light and disrupt energy. Superman's healing rate has been inconsistently portrayed, however. In the first issue of the "Superman/Batman" comic, Alfred is able to remove a Kryptonite bullet from Superman's body without fear of the wound closing (probably because the Kryptonite was affecting his ability to heal). Other Powers: Writers of Superman would occasionally experiment with new powers for the character. In general, the abilities that proved popular and useful became part of his regular repertoire, while others would be discarded after a single use. In addition to his other super senses, Superman was occasionally shown as having highly-enhanced senses of touch and smell. ^All of supes' powers. Superman is so broken he can revive from being a skeleton so I mean, Thor is screwed.
Shradow
@Shradow Just to clarify things, I do know that. But we have to consider that Thor is a God and that his magic is one of the greatest there is. Well, Superman has been nailed by several of Captain Marvel's lightning strikes in a fight and wasn't too worse for wear. It just depends on who's magic you think is stronger, Thor's or Zeus's. Mr.Robot
Thor and Superman are both the Strongest characters in their respective Universes (Marvel and DC) Clearly you haven't read a lot from the big two...Superman wins even though Thor is magic and Superman's weakness is magic, it's not like Thor can block/destroy the sun or something. Plus, current Superman can still go toe to toe with another kryptonian even after spending 5 days away from the yellow sun.

Batman made Spectre bleed, his kicks must be universal then. And Marvel Odin >>>>>> DC Zues so Superman vs Captain Marvel is irrelevant. 6-4 Supes wins normally, again he's more consistent, and he should win since he does have better all around stats, but Thor can rough him up with amped God Magic. PrimeAceJohn
My vote goes to Thor. Yes, Superman is extremely powerful and probably the strongest hero in the DC universe, but not many people know how much ass Thor kicks. I study Mythology for a long time. I know almost all there is to Norse Mythology. Let me just point out how extreme Thor in the mythology is: His hammer, Mjolnir, is said to break through anything it touches. He can summon Lightning no matter where he is or the weather. He can fly with the power of his hammer. His belt was said to have given him an enormous amount of godly strength His gloves can retrieve his hammer no matter where it is. His weakness: Take away his hammer, belt, and gloves - he's just a normal muscular dude. Superman: Shoots lasers through eyes Can fly Super strength X-Ray vision Exhales icy breaths Fast Extreme hearing His weakness: Kryptonite Magic His energy gets drained under a red sun. Overall, I think Superman's weakness makes Thor's godly strength overpowering. I mean, I'm sure Thor is full of magic, though not confirmed. The only real way of getting through Thor is getting rid of his hammer, belt, and maybe his gloves; however, in the comics, Thor is never shown with the gloves so just ignore that. Don't get me wrong, Superman is amazingly strong, but when compared to a god, especially Thor, my vote has to go to Thor. By the way, I just wanted to post this video my Machinima where they do a live action Thor vs. Superman fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO-uN-EyEjM Although Superman wins, I think realistically through the legends and stories of Thor's greatness he would win. I know you'd say 'this is comic stuff, not mythology stuff' but w.e.

Speedy the First
Supes would not stand a chance, but since I think that the writers would make it a draw somehow, I voted draw, and in responce to Tormented, here are Thor's powers : The Asgardian warhammer Mjolnir: Thor wields Mjolnir, a hammer forged from Uru metal, whose chief properties are durability, the ability to maintain enchantment, and absorb energies. Mjolnir resembles more of a short handle mallet than a traditional warhammer. Mjolnir itself is already extremely durable like the Earth metal Adamantium or the Olympian metal Adamantine, and combined with the various enchantments placed upon it by Odin, is for all intents and purposes, indestructible. It has survived heat as extreme as the heart of the Sun, blasts powerful enough to destroy planets, and it has contained energy sufficient enough to destroy an entire Galaxy. When Loki attempted to use the Silver Surfer to defeat Thor, he tricked the Surfer into attacking Thor, Loki even augmented the Silver Surfer’s powers with his own, after which the Surfer said that he had never felt that powerful before. He also claimed that Thor’s hammer was far more powerful than his own Cosmic Power. To quote the Silver Surfer himself, “I have seen his mallet’s magic, it is truly mightier than my cosmic force!”[34] Thor often uses the hammer as a physical weapon, with almost nothing being capable of withstanding a hammer blow or throw. It has been described as impacting with sufficient force to "destroy mountains" and has proven capable of shattering the armor of a Celestial, with a rare exception being primary adamantium. Mjolnir also grants Thor countless mystical attributes and powers such as manipulation of the fundamental forces of the universe such as the electromagnetic spectrum, gravity, etc. A few other examples of the countless abilities Thor has shown with Mjolnir are: Worthiness Enchantment: This enchantment surrounding Mjolnir prevents it from being wielded by anyone save those who have been found worthy. Thus far, this includes Thor, the Red Norvell, Beta Ray Bill, and Captain America. To anyone else, Mjolnir cannot be lifted from the ground nor wrested from Thor’s grip. Those who are deemed worthy are abled to wield Thor's powers. Captain America said "I've never wielded such limitless power before!"[121] "It's almost intoxicating!"[122] As the true master of Mjolnir, Thor can also will unto others the ability to wield the mystical hammer, bypassing the worthiness enchantment, and also empower them with his own godly abilities. As long as he is alive, no one but himself is able to wield the hammer.[123] Mystical Link: Mjolnir obeys Thor’s commands as though it were alive, and if Thor’s will is strong enough, the hammer can pass through nearly any barrier to reach him should he so chooses; Mjolnir will even carve its way through the very center of entire planets to get back to Thor.[124] Mjolnir will even return to Thor while he is in his mortal persona as Jake Olson.[125] Mjolnir can also transform Thor into his civilian guises. When Thor is a civilian, the hammer most often becomes an old wooden cane. While employing a mortal guise, Thor would transform back into his mortal form if he was separated from Mjolnir for more than 60 seconds. The 60 second enchantment is no longer in effect. Weather Control: Wielding Mjolnir grants Thor the ability to control the base elements of a storm, i.e. rain, wind, thunder, lightning and more. He can create giant raging electrical storms complete with thunder, lightning, hurricane-force winds, tornadoes, blizzards, tidal waves, exploding volcanoes, earthquakes and torrential rains across entire planets at a moment's notice. He can also create any of these phenomena individually. Another aspect of this power allows him to stop any of these weather conditions instantly as well. Thor can create storms on a planetary wide scale or larger if needed, and is not limited to the normal limits of Mother Nature and can go beyond and defy what natural weather can do such as creating rain in space where there is no atmosphere. Thor's ability to control and create storms extends to any and all storms as he has been shown to control and create raging temporal storms in time, create Solar Flares, powerful stellar winds in space and so on. Flight: Thor is capable of hurling Mjolnir with great force and, by holding onto the leather thong, is capable of flying through the air at tremendous speeds. While in an Earth-like atmosphere, Thor generally flies at roughly the Speed of Sound, roughly 770 miles per hour. Thor can fly so fast that he is invisible to the naked eye.[52]He has been clocked flying at three times the speed of light,[126] and is capable of achieving speeds far greater than that. He can perform complicated maneuvers in the air,[127] and change course in mid-flight at the speed of thought. He can hover in mid air with the winds like Storm.[128] Energy Projection: With Mjolnir, Thor can project powerful mystical blasts of energy. He can even channel energies for stronger energy attacks. God Blast: Thor is capable of channeling different amounts of his godly energies in combination with the mystical properties of Mjolnir can be channeled through his hammer for a single massive blast known as the God Blast which is able to kill even immortals.[39][37] His godly energy is so vast and powerful, that even when reinforced with the Belt of Strength, which should double Mjolnir's fortification and durability, when Thor channeled his godly energies into Mjolinr to destroy the Brain Dome of the mighty Celestial Exitar,[39] the hammer shattered from the amount of power Thor channeled. The God Blast is so immensely powerful and destructive that it has proven capable of destroying beings as large and as powerful as the Midgard Serpent and even causing such a great degree of damage to a being such as Galactus that he was forced to flee for his life.[48] Thor can send the God Blast to the core of Ego the Living Planet and Alter Ego and render both comatose.[129] He has also used the God Blast to defeat Surtur, Ymir, Juggernaut, and Zelia. Anti-Force: Thor is capable of producing an indescribably powerful blast known as the Anti-Force which is capable of annihilating entire planets.[130] This blast is so powerful that with just a single emission, Thor was capable of putting down and seemingly killing the powerful entity known as Mangog himself. Thermal Explosion: Thor can generate an amount of thermal energy so powerful that it is able to defeat villains like Ego the Living Planet. Energy Sensing: Mjolnir can detect practically all types of energy.[131][132][133] It reacts particularly strongly to evil psychic energy,[134] and supernatual energy.[102]. Mjolnir can also track down the energy patern of someone in hiding,[135] detect any Asgardians aura by their electrons discharge,[136] and can sense and track the energy radiating from mystical objects.[137] Energy Absorption and Redirection: Thor is able to use Mjolnir to absorb any energy blasts directed towards him as means of attack. Once the energy is absorbed, Thor can redirect it back amplified many times over towards the source and/or use it as a weapon of his own. Thor has used Mjolnir to reflect the vast and hazardous amounts of energy being emitted by the biological weapon implanted within the Wasp's body by the Skrulls back at her while all of Earth's other super humans were helpless. Thor used Mjolnir to absorb Ultron's entire energy source, the Silver Surfer's Power Cosmic,[138]Sky-Walker's Cosmic Tempest,[139] radio active energy,[140] magnetism[59] such as Magneto's personal magnetic field[141] and a portion of the Pangoria's planetary magnetic field. Mjolnir's ability to absorb energy is so powerful he managed to absorb, contain and redirect the entire energy of the Null Bomb, which was powerful enough to destroy the entire galaxy,[142] absorb mystical energies, such as Pluto's mystic flame.[143] He was even able to absorb a portion of the mystical energies from every god patheon on Earth,[144] and absorbed the electromagnetic energies of the Celestial Mother-ship.[79] Teleportation: By grasping Mjolnir by the leather thong and rapidly swirling it, Thor can channel energies for the purpose of opening gateways through means of a vortex[103] and in this vortex time has no meaning, which means he and others can pass through it to their destinations instantaneously.[145] He can open gateways which allow him to travel across locations no matter how great the distance within moments or even across entire dimensions, as he does when he travels from Asgard to Earth and vice-versa.[146][147] Thor has used Mjolnir to rip the fabric of the Universe to send Surtur and Yimir to the Death Dimension[148] and send an entire population to Limbo,[149] Thor can also use Mjolnir to travel through portals anywhere within the same dimension.[150] Matter Manipulation: By spinning Mjolnir in a precise manner at cyclotronic speeds, Thor can manipulate matter from a molecular level to a vast scale, which allows him to create other configurations and even allows him to transmute the elements themselves. This ability was evident when he transmuted the Absorbing Man's wood and iron body to the gas helium.[102] Resurrection: While channeling his power through Mjolnir, Thor was able to resurrect a man he had wrongly killed.[66] Alpha Particles: Thor's hammer can harness Alpha Particles from the atmosphere and could use it to atomize any weaponry.[36] Negation of Mystic Energy: He used this ability on the Juggernaut himself to negate the mystical energies that grant him his mystical invulnerability, allowing him to defeat Juggernaut in combat. He was able to stop Mephisto from taking human souls to the Dark Dimension.[151] Nether World Power: Thor can use Mjolnir to tap into the power of the Nether Worlds (dark dimensions).[152] Cosmic Energy: Mjolnir allows Thor to produce and control Cosmic Energy to an unknown limit for a variety of purposes.[153] Electromagnetic Spectrum Manipulation: Thor was able to absorb and manipulate the electromagentic energies of the Celestial Mothership.[79] Invisibility and Intangibility: Thor can turn himself or others, using Mjolnir, completely intangible and/or invisible.[154] An offshoot of this ability is that Thor can use Mjolnir to completely disrupt the phasing abilities of super humans such as the Vision, Shadowcat etc.[155] Illusion Detection: Mjolnir can distinguish images, holograms, and different illusions from reality: Thor once commanded the hammer to strike the demon lord Mephisto, who was hiding amongst false images of himself.[151] Absorption of Life: Thor has used this ability in the villain Presence who was forced to surrender before they turned one lifeless shell. Interdimensional Messaging: Thor can used Mjolnir to send psychic messages between the Nine Realms. Force Field Creation:Mjolnir has given Thor the ability to create powerful barriers that have been seen to be impenetrable. This has given Thor the ability to contain powerful explosions. Undead Lethality: As a former religious relic, Mjolnir is lethal to undead. Thor once threw Mjolnir at a vampire, with contact causing the vampire to burst into flame and crumble to dust.[156] Transformation: (Formerly) When Thor was living on Earth under a mortal guise, he could use Mjolnir to transform from his Donald Blake persona into Thor and vice versa. Thor lost this ability when this enchantment was transferred to Beta Ray Bill's hammer, Stormbreaker. Later, Odin permanently separated the two personas. Immunity to Other Forces: Even without activating the powers of Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, enchanted by Odin, is impervious to nearly all forms of change, as he himself claimed that no power in the universe but the All-Father's could affect Mjolnir, shown when Amora's magical efforts during her first confrontation with Thor to change it into a deadly serpent availed her naught. Megingjord: A magical belt worn by the Thunder God that would double his natural strength and stamina.[157] The belt is fueled by the Odin Force and can also increase the might of Mjolnir. The belt increased Thor's strength so much that he was able to knockout a powered-up Thanos with one blow.[158]
Squirrel Girl
Thor would beat Supes. The way Supes stand a chance is if Thor loses his hammer. Supes cant take it away from Thor. Besides, look at both of their powers. Thor got more ways to beat Supes than Supes got to beat Thor. So the win goes to Thor.
