So, I probably have no right to be posting here or posting what I'm about to post but...

from what I can tell, Link Jokers are essentially a Stun Deck, locking (which I'm assuming is preventing your units from taking any action), thus you have to maneuver around them to counter their strategies, but if and when you do so, it won't matter in the first place because that unit just gets retired anyway and you get a card on top of it all for a simple Soul Blast.

Yeah, totally not bad design. That is, depending on how often Link Jokers SC.

locking (which I'm assuming is preventing your units from taking any action)

Locking means that you turn the card face-down. While the card is face-down, you cannot interact with the card in any way or form. This involves resting, retiring, moving, standing, etc. The card also does not count toward your Rearguards on the board, but that Rearguard Zone still cannot be used.

The most relevant part about this card is the fact that he says that he can lock any of your opponent's Units once per turn at any time of the game.

Oh my god, that thing is amazing.

Like honestly amazing.

Like if the deck isn't hugely relivant after this thing I will be terrified for the rest of my life.

So if Multiple RG unlock, you can pay the cost for each one of them to retire right?

Althougth... The card doesn't actually pump itself up, which is a change. And an appreciated one. And actually a nice balancing factor.

You can SB3 to retire 3 and draw 3. So you can retire multiple RGs with his skill.

It's amazing. Borderline broken, but amazing.

On a more complete review, the card's most defining good ability is his ACt skill, which allows him to lock any units pre LB, a skill that LJ used to be lacking in it.

The retire is not that hot, since it'll free up a zone, the draw is all that mattered. And, following the lore closely, this skill ensures that the +1s reverse unit get will be nullified by this card. Those ungrateful Reversed units shouldn't rise against their master after all.

And, after like many boosters, Bushi has finally stopped their +Power addiction with this unit, and for a good reason. This card will be stupid if it can easily hit significant numbers.

Nah, it's pretty fair. Both of its skills are LB4, which means if you miss Infinite Zero, you're on an 11k vanilla until 4 damage, which means there are a couple decks that can pressure you into potentially losing if you misride.

That said, holy shit, the paper theory behind this card.

The ACT skill is pre LB. But yeah, it's not really broken. I have detalied my review after the initial shock.

Oh, herp, I totally glossed over that.

Still, discarding a Star-Vader makes the whole card draw thing a bit more balanced if you end up not riding Infinite Zero. If you do, well, damn, free plussing, but it's not like this card is outright insanity. You get a once-per-turn lock for CB1 and a discard that makes it so you only +1 to hand during combat for the turn instead of +2.

It's certainly a defining card for the clan, though, that's for sure.
