Daigusto Sphreez
When this card is targeted for an attack: You can negate the attack, and if you do, change the battle position of this card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand, Deck, orGraveyard. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets this face-up card (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. You can only use 1 "Maiden with Eyes of Blue" effect per turn, and only once that turn. From the upcoming new BEWD Structure deck comes this new card. And already, this has become one of my biggest nightmares when playing online. It's not that this card cannot be destroyed (although it is very difficult unless you have a card that doesn't target, such as dark hole, mirror force, torrential). It's more that it is beyond flexible. All of those cards are limited, and you're not always going to draw them. A lot of decks simply cannot get around this card, besides giving their opponent the BEWD, which can be summoned from the deck, graveyard or hand (as if this card wasn't flexible enough). I'm all for supporting the most well known and loved yu-gi-oh card of all time, but this feels like a very lazy card design to me, designed to get BEWD out under almost any situation, not to mention the wonder wand abuse its susceptible to. Despite not even being officially released, I hope it gets Limited to 1 (but not banned) at the earliest opportunity. Thoughts?
Rawkobo
It's an intimidating card at first glance, but there are ways around it to some degree, and removing Blue-Eyes isn't that hard. It is obnoxious, though, and I wouldn't be surprised if somebody took Blue-Eyes Hieratics to my locals (hint: I actually have a friend in my hall at college prepping this as we speak) and caused some groans. Daigusto Sphreez
Yes, this card is definitely a gift to Hieratics, and they were pretty good even without this card. It's not just the BEWD summon that bothers me though, as you say BEWD alone can be suppressed most of the time. It's more that this card can get you Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon with very little support. But also, that this card's effect can be used over and over. It isn't a one time thing, it's just a once per turn thing. So against certain decks or trap-deprived draws, there is very little you can do at all.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Card is nuts. It has Rabbit syndrome; this is not the correct way to support Vanilla monsters.
Eury
Really awesome card, but pretty unfair. Only way to really get rid of it is a card that sends, or like Azuh said attack with Ophion. Probably would have been better if it had been targeted by an opponent's card effect, because being able to trigger it with Wonder Wand and drawing 2 after summoning BEWD is insane. :L
Toffee.
Basically the fact it's 2nd effect is a quick effect is exactly WHY its rather ridiculous.
Azuh
I personally cannot stand the TCG name. It just doesn't roll off the tongue anymore :( and it really sounds like its counterfeit
Rawkobo
I just realized that it's a Spellcaster. Jesus, Wonder Wand. The thing about Azure is that if you know that they're going to make it, unless they set it up on their turn (which I've never really seen anyone do), it's easy to pick apart. I see Blue-Eyes Hieratics players summon this all the time, set backrow and pass. So it becomes easy to just ruin their day.
Daigusto Sphreez
I personally see quite a few people use wonder wand with this card. Besides that though, if a duel ever gets to top-decking, drawing a card like this gives some hefty advantage. I think this card will definitely be taken into consideration when building your extra deck anyway. Not much can counter it though of course. At least not much in the generic xyz's anyway, since Ophion isn't going to be viable for most decks. I don't understand how, but assuming DevPro is correct, even Steelswarm Roach cannot prevent the BEWD summoning, as it seems to miss the timing. Roach can't negate SSes that are from card effects (that start a chain) resolving. Neither can Solemn Judgment or Rai-Oh.
Wildflame
You usually have to have a way of getting rid of BEWD before thinking on attacking/targeting this. An unfair card imo, and not the best way to promote the return of BEWD.
