L0SS
So much swag. So the concept looks sweet, even if slightly stolen; I love the weave effect, and the surreal, fairytale quality. The geometric shapes seem slightly random, dare I say incohesive, but I think that's okay, and works out. It's the layering of the shapes which creates a total mind-fuck when it comes to the depth. Although this may make it far less interesting, I think my brain would like it if some of the shape elements were implemented and blended in a less nonsensical manner. You might have to sacrifice the more abstract feel for depth. You could also inject some more colour and vibrancy into the piece, although that could go against it somewhat. I'm tired, so I might amend this in the morning, but my current stance is: best appreciated high
.Rai
swagyswagcatmanswagWeave texture isi cool. Way too strong, I'd say. Apply with subtlety. The abstraction behind this is incredibly inspired though: and surprisingly organic, from the slightly off-key placement of shapes, and very natural use of stock and integrating in a more fluid manner. You've even managed to find a way to implement the hipster flower crown.Circular elements are cool, the gradients could perhaps point in more cohesive directions. For some emphasis and contrast.Cool work. Albeit utterly crazy.
Night
Stolen? I'd love to see who else conceptualized this since that would mean I'm not the only with such a melancholic mind. I literally made this piece last night and woke up in the morning a bit frightened.
L0SS
Stolen? I didn't mean to put stolen. I'm kind of out of it. I'll get back to you on this... This piece is kind of mesmerising, though. Keep this up, Nighty. Haunt people's dreams. It's worth it.
Tormented
Hey, yeah, you. Get a tablecloth of this so I can buy it and use it. Thanks. Anyway I feel the circle on the deer is slightly oddly used but it looks purdy.
Catman25
i should be over all the butterflies; i'm into you This is some tighttt stuff here. Use of texture makes the stock manipulation more cohesive; don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the manip is done poorly. My only problem is the radial looking thing in the triangle. It pops too much imo. Some pretty innovative stuff though. We need more of that here. Actually we'll take more anything.
chairman ali
I have seen this style many times but the rarity of it is massive. Historically, it is much like Biblical art or mythology. If you study art history you'd know much about how the devil is pictured—half ram half goat—this looks quiet like it. Overall, you need a lot more practice with this style to enter the acceptable stage. And you will need a further more year or two of studying to know what the composition should be as. I will lay some of the foundations and basis of this style, I have studied much of it; though, the rest will be up to you. Then I will lay down how to improve your artwork. Firstly, let us discuss and distinguish the core of the focal(s). Generally, in any artwork, the focal is always interweaved with everything. This happens because the composition is entailed to be kept kempt. Predominantly because it is supplementary docile for the brain. An amalgamation of two entities is usually the case with the focal. Observe: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0r22qQ1i41qhkl5go1_500.jpg http://www.gci.org/files/images/b8/b8a%20(3).jpg http://imagingthebible.llgc.org.uk/images/moses_mg_0117.jpg Secondly, the background. It is conventionally retained empty. There are cases with mosaic designs—it is extremely arduous—or very small objects; house, hill, mountains and suchlike. Finally, colours. This will hinge on your concept. Dark & gloomy will result into dead colours. Hope & happiness will result into vibrant mood colours. This is very brief because I am running out of time. It would take me a day or two explain the style in a grubby manner. As for your artwork... let me begin by saying that the two perspectives of the focals do not match. Secondly, the diamond shapes are entailed to be smaller. This will help to retain the focus on the two entities rather than everything. Thirdly, I suggest you add shine and vibrancy to the circles. They will help attract attention. Good luck.
