Not-so-Radiant Arin
http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/ Blizzard Entertainment is now working on a custom CCG (probably because Mists of Pandaria was such a flop and they get no income anymore lul). This new fast-paced card game pits the most famous heroes of Warcraft lore against each other in what looks like a very interesting card game. The game plays similarly to Magic: The Gathering (but really, though, what CCG doesn't copy from M:tG?); each turn, you get 1 Mana Crystal (from what I'm understanding), which will allow you to play more powerful cards as the game progresses. Personally, as an online CCG-hunter, this is definitely on my watch list, even if I don't know how to immediately play M:tG. The art style looks exciting, the field is highly interactive (meaning, you can actually do stuff on the playing field border, for example), and it seems incredibly easy to pick up and play. The game is currently in closed beta, and you can get into the beta by signing up with your Battle.net account.
Shradow
I've watched videos of it and it looks really fun. Do you miss out on some of the content if you don't know any of the Warcraft lore?

Not-so-Radiant Arin
I've watched videos of it and it looks really fun. Do you miss out on some of the content if you don't know any of the Warcraft lore? You won't recognize some names, like how Thrall was once the proud leader of the orcs, and maybe some of the references they draw if you've played any of the games, but beyond that, there doesn't appear to be any flavour text on the cards, so I'm tempted to say not really. Poc
I've watched some gameplay videos of it. it looks pretty basic and straightforward but beta is beta right? I'm definitely keeping track of the progress of this game and will probably pick it up when its released.
:^)
It's pretty much a streamlined version of MtG, and the fact you can only have 2 of each card in your card library since you can only have 2 of each card in your Deck does kill the collecting part of a CCG.
