A little cinematography film.

Wow, Plainy, in my most honest opinion, you did a fantastic job.

I'm no expert and these things, but looking at the work you've done, it seems very remarkable.

The way you got that whole red feeling and influencing the vibe was outstanding. The fact that you expressed emotion without even saying a word makes the video much more connecting to the viewers.

I enjoyed the video very much and I would truthfully love to see more.

Great job XD.

Thank you very much! I'll hopefully carry on making little films, they're a lot of fun. I think I could've edited it a little better, but I'll keep on practising.

Ahem. Anyway, great work! Colour toning into a red hue has been done well, an interesting twist on a sort of film noir style. I think there needs to be a bit more precision regarding cutting from scene to scene. Nothing major, just make the jump cuts a little neater. It's probably not as much in your control as with most cinematographers, but editing and cutting up music is a really powerful tool to aid visuals.

Overall, really powerful and quite brilliant short film. The ambiguity in angle and shot aids the tension underlying it. The lighting is very well done too.

Absolutely understand what you're saying. I'm tempted to get everything neater, and play around with it a bit more. I'm still getting experienced in the editing department, so I think that's probably the weakest area. The music was an experiment in musical effects, with some reversed guitar solo, so I haven't really cut it properly.

Cheers for the CnC, much appreciated.

Sex!

Quite enjoyed that actually. Loved the mood and the ambiance of it all, very fitting.

From an artistic standpoint it was quite superb, don't think the acting was fully up to par however.

And I don't mean to offend you in anyway, it's just that non-vocal acting is quite hard to do, and do well.

The acting wasn't bad by any means, but it could be improved upon, in my opinion.

As DG stated it was kinda stiff, seeing as though the overall piece is basically reliant upon the emotion you evoke.

Overall however it was phenomenal, great piece.

I love the style you used, but you seem kinda... stiff in some scenes, it just kinda took away the emotion of it.  But I love the ending scene, and overall, it was quite brilliant!

Thanks to the both of you. And yes, I was very stiff indeed. I definitely need some practise in simply being a presence on camera. I will say, however, that it was fairly last minute, and I usually spend weeks developing characterisation and mannerisms. I think I'll give the speechless acting another shot, sometime. Next time, I might do something with dialogue, and play to my strengths a more.
