宇佐見 蓮子@C94
I'm fine with people hacking, as long as they don't bring it online. People like to play outside the rules, and hacking is a way to do it. It's been around since video games exist and will probably never go away. Hacking shouldn't be banned, so long as it's not giving the player an unfair advantage to other players. Which is why I propose that hacking should be restricted to single-player games. Maeriberii Haan
In single player games, i have no problem with this. Rarely do it, since it beats the point of playing a game. In multiplayer/online games though, this is a pain. It sucks the fun out of the other players, thus making the game unenjoyable. Beating cheaters/hackers is really fun though. Shradow
Hacking is annoying. Companies who make online games should do what Rockstar did with Max Payne 3's multiplayer, making anyone found hacking placed into a "Cheater's Pool", where they can only play games with other hackers. If only hacking were like this, then it'd be fun for everyone.
Hunter.
I only hack single-player stuff after I've completed it a good couple of times and there's not much else to do except see how it turns out when I own pretty much everything. Sander
The only hacking I've done is when I used to play Dragonfable. Used Cheat Engine to deal massive damage to finish quests faster.
Shradow
Now, I have abused glitches and cheats in single player games before, but I'll never hack.
Hippocampus
"Hacking" is a very strong term. I believe the euphemism that should be used here is "modding"... ;) The only hacking I've done lately is SSBB because I like playing with different music, stages, and character skins. I don't play online though, because that game's online play sucks. I've tried to hack a couple Pokemon games in the past, but I gave up because I had little to no incentive for it. I also know how to hack Civilization II, but that's pretty simple because it was made in the previous century. Oh yeah, and YVD Don't care much about stricter policies, since I don't play online. I don't disagree with the idea of modding at all, though, because it infuses creativity into a game beyond what the original creators had in mind and allows for personalization of your own gaming experience. I mean, you could even compare it to the cardmaker... we're all just modding the game of Yu-Gi-Oh, right?

I agree with you 100% I hack in Singleplayer games but only ALREADY MADE HACKS, such as Action Replaying with an Emulator to get Regice in Leaf Green. The reason I replied to you is for this: Is that the creeper Chizuru from that disturbing anime?
WhyDidIJoinThis-.-
Do you do it? Why? No, never seen any point in it.Do you want to do it? Why? Not really, I'd only consider it after completing a game and even then only if it got mega boring. Which is never.Should we have stricter hacking policy in US/Europe? Is there even a way? If there was a way to get hackers banned from some ip blacklisting system or something, I dunno.Topic came about because I spend at least 10 mins a day reporting hackers. *sigh* On what game? Toffee.
This topic reminds me of Fall of Cybertron:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AKMew_WtgUOh, right, that was the reason why I stopped going online...Shame, too, cuz' I used to be really good at that game's multiplayer :/
The Amazing Avian
I use them to play against other hackers. You wanna god mode, fly and headshot the enemy team with your knife? I will do the same.

It's actually quite hilarious watching tryhard hackers seriously duking it out on things like trade servers in TF2.

Cin
Not something I would ever do, although I did use the Mew glitch in Yellow.
Shradow
Not something I would ever do, although I did use the Mew glitch in Yellow. That one's so fun I used it twice and traded the second one to my friend

Cin
I was meaning using a glitch was the closest I would get to hacking. It's the Long Range Trainer + Slowpoke trainer/Ditto (with Pokemon of 21 Special)
Black Metal
Hacking to improve the game? Then yes. Sailing in Windwaker can get really boring at one point and making a hack where I can teleport from one island to another would be better. I'm fine with hacking even in online, but only if you're doing it with only friends for fun though.
