[spoiler: Lucas Matthews Dark Signer]

"Seriously...card games again. I need a drink."

Name: Lucas Matthews

Gender: Male

Age: 62

Faction/Allegiance: Dark Signer/Earthbound Cult (The Heron)

Appearance: Lucas is the typical average height of 5'11 and retains a very slim build with a nice dark brown skin complexion. His conservative nature has allowed him to accept every aspect of aging gracefully therefore he retain  a full head of gray hair that is always styled, gelled, and cut similar to the to ways of the ad-men in the 1960's. His skim is full of intense wrinkles such as the onset of crows feet and and the variety of wrinkles in his cheek bones and along his forehead. Because of his occupation his fingernails always got dirty so he would always make severe effort to have his nails and hands manicured if at all possible complementing his look of the perfect gentlemen. The typical gentlemen who always wears a three piece suits. He is the epitome of conservative with his monocle he never tends to wear anything that would resemble casual wear. In terms of dueling since he is new to the sport/game was able to find a fashionable tote/messenger back for which he stores his duel disk and deck.

Personality: Lucas is the typical intellectual and curious type. Always asking "why" and always wanting to know the origins of stuff. In his old age however he is completely intolerant of the young. In fact he hates that everything depends on a children's card game and a quite elaborate one at that. He barely knows how to play the game and he wouldn't be considered good if the fact remained that he is a very thorough reader. His constant inquiry about trying to ascertain the future and knowing what comes next has lead to his mastery of a certain play style. While being old he always maintains an apparent level of calmness and never shows any emotion which comes in handy since he is also a heavy drinker. He can always be found looking for and subsequently helping himself to the nearest bottle of Scotch, Brandi, Cognac, etc.

Bio: Lucas is an archaeologist by trade or was one. He was always fascinated with the past and future, the terracotta soldiers of China, the pyramids of Egypt, the hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Nazca lines which later known to be giant spirits gone to rest but still they were something worth looking into. He spent his entire life learning about the great mysteries of the world. He lived a life fulfilled but as time would have it is harder to scale mountains and go through secret passageways if you get old so he retired naturally. Becoming noted in the field he did hear of myths about people who could discover an undeniable treasure so of course he had to check it out and join them.
In terms of Duel monsters however Lucas never really got into the game. In fact he never understand how the game could become such a staple of life as everyone knows it. He did however spoil his grandson Victor in getting him a duel runner and helping him by the latest cards until Victor was fully sponsored as professional because that is what grandparents do spoil their grand-kids. Victor did try to teach his old man how to play the game but it was hard enough to understand the difference in green, pink, and brownish-orange cards. Then you introduce the purple, blue, black, and white ones and special ways those can be used it was pretty frustrating but nice way to bond with your offspring. When Lucas joined this new cult of Orichalcos he was informed about the method in which souls were taken. He was pissed, he didn't show it but he was pissed. He would have called his grandson, who was a big pro now going around the world competing in global circuits, but saying teach me how to take a person's soul is not the most appropriate thing you want to ask of a person. So he discovered dueling on his own and was able to find a set of cards that referenced himself quite nicely without the need of the rainbow set of cards.

Interestingly enough at the end of the events that surrounded the impact of the Orichalcos Lucas found himself defeated not by any of the three chosen ones but by his own grandson. It was surely a bittersweet moment in his life mainly because it was the end of his life. Its not that he was afraid of death he was just sad that it was his grandson that was forced to do him in. But what an outstanding young man his grandson grew up to be. As he let the warm glow of the Orichalcos finally take his soul he took one last drink and took his last breathe. Little did he know that he was not done dueling and playing this card game that he wasn't truly interested in. It was quick as it felt like a second but his eyes immediately burst open. He gasped for air in strict panic and he realized that there was something off about himself. He looked at his hands and he realized that for some odd reason he was alive. He didn't know where he was as it appeared to be some kind of warehouse in the middle of nowhere. He looked around and once he saw a mirror he was gobsmacked by his appearance. His eyes were blackened, his skin unnaturally grey and pale, and finally his clothes were all morbid and dark. They still retained their similar suit like fashion but there seemed to be some edition of a random cloak and throughout ensemble was some a purple outline that detailed some Aztec like pattern. Eventually he walked outside this warehouse to see that he was in what looked to be a junkyard and in the distance a far wondrous city.

In no time at all he was approached by a biker gang who had weird yellow tattoos over their faces and instead of just simply mugging him they challenge him to a card game. Naturally he cringed but when he saw that he had a new dark duel disk and his True Sirs got some new employees he shrugged and was ready to just see what happened. He had died once and its not like he truly clung to life. During his duel with the thugs he was naturally holding his own. Then he drew his new boss monster. This monster didn't have "True Sirs" in its name. He naturally summoned this creature and that was when everything got clear. The massive beast resonated with its owner and that is when he understood what had happened. Apparently his soul was dragged throughout time and placed into some similar mortal shell and he was given psuedo-life. After easily winning the match against the bikers he weighed his options. It looked like he was about to become a part of another cult. He did remember liking the Nazca Lines so why not go with the flow. From the looks of it he jumped into the future a bit so it would be nice to see what the future looked like.

Oh, if Dem's dropping out, I'll take her place as a Signer, if that's okay. Also, not sure if I read correctly, but is the heart okay to use as my mark? If not, I'm guessing I'm left with the head?

The head works. What Signer Dragon are you thinking about using?

I'm planning on using Power Tool Dragon/Life Stream Dragon. Speaking of which, my app is here. Sorry if the bio seems...Weird. I'm a bit rusty on writing exposition, and I really wanted to get her transsexuality in there.

[spoiler = Makoto Itegami]
"Listen, let me tell you a little secret—I'm actually a boy! See? We aren't always what we appear to be on the surface...Sometimes there's an inner self that wants to come out, but remains repressed through our own fears and designs. Other times, we try and try and we pull out who we are on the inside, and the part that was on the outside becomes our new darkest secret. It's all about finding out the 'real me.' You understand?"

Name: Makoto Itegami
Age: 18
Gender: Genetically Male, but identifies personally as Female
Allegiance: Signer (Head) - Potential
Faction: Professional Duelist
Appearance: Makoto has long, snow-white hair that complements her rather fair skin quite nicely. Her eyes appear to be black at first glance, but if one looks close or the light hits them just right, they are actually a very deep violet color. She stands only at 5'4" tall, so most people she knows tower over her. She almost always has a bright smile on her face, which is complemented quite nicely by small dimples in both cheeks.
Her wardrobe consists of very frilly, decidedly opulent-looking dresses, with many bows and bits of lace. She doesn't enjoy wearing much else, as casual clothes sometimes show off that she is not, biologically, a woman.
Personality: Makoto was a very cheerful boy growing up, until reaching 10 years of age, at which point Makoto realized she was actually a very cheerful girl. Her parents were very supportive of her, and helped her transition in every way possible, which in turn compounded on her natural kindness and compassion to turn her into a very supportive and caring individual herself. She will give her all to stand up for what's right, and for the people too scared to fend for themselves, as she knows what it's like to be one of the down-trodden, one of the victims. She also believes very strongly in the power of self-confidence and being yourself, those being guiding concepts in her life.
Biography: Makoto grew up in Neo Domino...More specifically, in the Tops district. His mother was a well-known fashion designer, and his father was the owner of a rather prestigious restaurant. As a result, his life was very cushy, and he didn't really go outside much, resulting in a rather pale complexion. At around 10 years old, after finding out his mother was pregnant, Makoto came to the realization that s/he was transsexual and desperately wanted to be a woman.

After much discussion and a miscarriage, her parents ultimately decided to support her in every way they could. Her mother made designer clothes for her to wear, while her father taught her about dueling, saying "A pretty girl's gotta know how to defend herself." These lessons did come in handy, as Makoto's transsexuality came under fire in school. However, due to the dueling skills she had honed with her father, she had nearly fully eradicated all of her bullies in a year. Not long after that, she actually had more friends than ever before, due to her strength and warm personality.

Within the past year, however, her family came under fire for various reasons—Makoto's sexuality was criticized, her father's restaurant was panned by a well-respected food critic, and her mother's business went bankrupt. In the end, they were forced to move into an apartment in what can be best described as "The Sattelite of Neo Domino," where crime was far more common than in other parts of the city. The last straw for Makoto came when a man broke into the Itegami family apartment, murdering Makoto's father and stabbing her mother in the back, paralyzingly her from the waist down. In order to help her mother move back into their old home and try to find wealth and happiness again, she became a professional duelist. She also secretly hopes that her status as a professional duelist will shed light on transsexuality for citizens of Neo Domino, as homosexuality and other related sexual orientations are all but condemned in the "utopia."

Now, after only a few months of dueling on the professional circuit, her winnings have already helped her mother move into a better part of the city and begin physical therapy, and the LGBT community of Neo Domino has turned her into a larger-than life figure, something she finds actually somewhat embarrassing.
Deck Type: Vylon—Equip shenanigans out the wazoo.
Ace/Favorite Cards: Power Tool Dragon (eventually will become Life Stream Dragon), Vylon Omega, Guardian Eatos
