Yeah, I know Hettie and Talia are original to this RP. It's probably for the best that way, since your other characters are currently involved in Pathway to Origin.

Well, 4 of them. Of dozens. Even Talia is a bit of an expy of Vicky, my Dark Signer character.

I'd like to think that some characters could have an Alternate Universe equivalent, if that makes sense. Lucas (Bailas's character from Return of the Orichalcos) could be in this RP, but it wouldn't exactly be the same Lucas. Perhaps a few small changes to his personality/background, at least.

I might as well post the Dark Signer one I finished, the Signer one comes tomorrow. I don't really want to play two characters though, so I'll drop this app now, then edit the post with my second app tomorrow and deliberate from there.

[spoiler='Dark Signer']

"When I was a boy, I was deathly afraid of spiders. Whenever I saw one, I would think that it would kill me on site, and I'd get as far away as I could. I was tormented for this throughout my life, naturally. Now, after death, I learned that spiders are only harmful to you if you are harmful to them. And that is what Neo Domino is going to find out: Swat us away often enough, and we WILL bite."

Name: Varemat
Age: 48

Gender: Male
Allegiance: Dark Signer
Faction: Earthbound Cult (which I propose to be renamed to The Walkers Of The Sacred Line)
Appearance: A wizzened old man. In life he was skinny and frail, with a bald head and broken teeth, and in death this has not changed. He is lanky, gangly, ugly, and generally unpleasant to look at. This is partly why he keeps himself cloaked beneath his Dark Signer's cloak as often as possible, with the cowl down so that no one looks upon his face. However, his skin is tanned from the constant sunlight he endured as an archaeologist, and his eyes have bags beneath them from the long nights that he labored at study. If he is in civilian garb, it is most likely in Satellite, moving amongst the common folk, spreading the word of the Line. His voice, while gravelly and raspy, has a bizarre quality to it that draws the bedraggled and dejected people of Satellite to gather before him. He walks with a walking stick, which is partly hollowed out, and contains a spider's nest.

Personality: On the surface, he is cunning. With Death on his side, he has all the time in the world to accomplish his designs, and so handles events calmly and patiently. If something is amiss, awry, or otherwise unforseen, his reaction is one of calculation. He can't get any deader, and knows so. When you strip him down to his core (translation: undo literally everything that he does as leader of the Walkers and get on the winning side of a duel)  his disposition changes rapidly: his pain is lain bare, he is wounded, angry at the world that denied him everything, and desperate to plunge the world into eternal darkness so they can know the despair and pain that he felt throughout his life. His spitefulness is as well made known; he would do everything in his power to ruin the life of anyone who had a hand in making his life what it was, and (again, undoing everything he did, blah blah blah) ruining his life after death.

Biography: As a child, he was arachnophobic; deathly afraid of spiders. He kept that a secret, but had confided in someone he believed to be his best and only friend. That friend turned on him, and much stronger and more evil children plagued him with spiders for much of his elementary years. Eventually, they grew bored of the trick and moved on to other pastures, but not before ensuring that Varemat was tormented with recurring nightmares that he could never shake for the rest of his life. As he grew up, he actually became somewhat handsome, and was favored by members of the fairer sex. Eventually, he found a steady job running a custom D-Wheel parts shop, and with the recent boom of Riding Duels, he did well enough to become both financially stable and a happy husband. Then the Zero Reverse hit, and ruined his life. While neither he nor his family were directly affected by the explosion, the shop was. With windows shattered and security systems disabled by the electromagnetic pulse of the ZR, looters hit his and many others' shops, grabbing everything they could get their hands on before Security showed up. In an act of blatant corruption, Security confiscated the D-Wheel parts as "evidence" and effectively kicked Varemat and his wife to the curb, forcing them to move to the now-derelict Satellite. His wife succumbed to illness and malnutrition soon afterward, simply because of Security's lackluster emergency relief system; there was simply not enough food for everyone. Varemat didn't even know how he survived when everything about him was ruined. Many that knew him said he seemed to age ten times as fast after that, but still he persevered. Eventually, the harsh and austere conditions of Satellite were too much, and Varemat died somewhere that nobody saw and nobody cared. He died with hatred, envy, and a lust for vengeance in his heart. Naturally, these emotions piqued the interest of the King of the Underworld, who saw fit to raise him as a Dark Signer in preparation for the coming three-sided war between Security, Arcadia, and the Dark Signers.

Varemat has a few abilities that are similar to Rudger. He uses Dark Signer powers to create two varieties of spider: Biting and Listening. Listening spiders can be used to eavesdrop a conversation, and the web grows every day as spiders spread across Neo Domino. Biting Spiders are similar to the ones that possess Ushio and that one guy who uses Frozen Fitzgerald, but also have the ability to poison their target, causing them to develop a very debilitating disease. However, certain individuals are immune to this poison (read: Player Characters mostly, if someone is non-Signer/Arcadia, then I have no idea how they survive it), and Varemat has no idea of that.

Deck Type: Spiders, which focus on keeping opponent's monsters in Defense Position. They also "drain" the DEF of those monsters to strengthen themselves and "drain" the opponent to benefit the user.\

Ace/Favorite Cards: Earthbound Immortal Uru, unnamed Spider boss that I have yet to create (will edit when I think it up.)

[/spoiler]

[spoiler='Signer']“You mean to tell me that the only way to exist is with degradation and pain? NO! I refuse to believe that this world has no room to coexist, no room to help or be helped! That is a false dichotomy, and I aim to change that forever!
Name: Grenan der Meiden
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Signer (Tail, Scrap Dragon, Potential)
Faction: Satellite, maybe Pro Duelist if the story allows.
Appearance: Gren stands at about 5’8”. While this is fairly tall, that didn’t stop him from being constantly assaulted. He has bright blond hair which is only kept out of his eyes by his own expert use of hair clippers. Because of the harsh conditions of Satellite, he is constantly dirty; wearing patched clothing practically all the time, save for a very nice vest he found in a pile of trash. He also has an amalgam of bruises over his body from the constant beatings that he and every citizen of Satellite have on them at one point or another. He has almost sky blue eyes, and these, combined with his hair, his heritage, and his deck, have given him the nickname “Sir Scrapenstein” (or sometimes “Sir Crapenstein”) by the majority of Satellite. He bears a prisoner's mark on the right side of his face.

Personality: Grenan is a tinker, a messer-about. Thanks to the decadence of Neo Domino’s mechanics, (who throw out their machinery as soon as anything even remotely superior comes on the market), Gren has the best lab in Satellite with which to mess around with the junk he finds there. He is a hard worker, and relentless on some issues; he will go several days without food or sleep if he’s stuck on a problem. By that same logic, he is also very passionate about certain issues regarding Neo Domino, specifically the re-integration of Satellite into the rest of the city, as well as the continued elitism and punitive stance of the members of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. He aspires to ride in the WRGP with a team one day, so if he duels and likes the other duelist enough, he offers them an invitiation.

Bio: Gren was born during the Zero Reverse. Surprisingly, his mother’s hospital room was one of the few nearly unaffected by the calamitous explosion. However, their financial situation was adversely affected by the explosion. Gren’s father was a barber of some skill, but his shop was destroyed by debris, and the only property that was within their means was in Satellite. Bizarrely enough, the barbershop became a sort of neutral territory for the various gangs that roamed the streets of Satellite after the calamity. Through that, Gren learned of the reasons behind the existence of many of the gangs: Food shortages, as well as poor oversight on landlordship, forced the people of Satellite into gangs in order to survive. In other words, Security’s (possibly intentional) mismanagement of the relief effort. Bearing this knowledge in mind, Gren is trying to make himself known throughout the dueling world, to be invited to Neo Domino. If he wins a major tournament (like the WRGP), he can usethe fame to promote a better relief program to Satellite, and maybe even repair the Infinity Bridge. Of course, dueling the best is its own reward.

Gren's constant tinkering, salvaging, and activism has earned him and his family several visits from Security, and even a prisoner's mark on the right side of his face. That only served to embolden him and his cause to draw the attention of Neo Domino's citizens to the perils of Satellite. Recently, he's been in league with activist groups to sneak into Neo Domino and enter the Fortune Cup, which draws a substantial following around the world every year, making it the perfect opportunity to raise awareness.

By this logic, I know exactly who I want to have in this. Reserving a Dark Signer slot.

Since I wasn't there for Return of the Orichalcos (Which sounds like a big starting point for stuff that people like you, TheFinalFan, and Merciful did), would there be a logical reason for your character to show up? However, I love the villains I've seen you play as, so it's your call.

Since Dark Signers tend to just be people who've died in some way, the story was/is that Lucas ended up dying in the Rrturn of the Orichalchos RP and instead of being sealed inside a rock his soul was dragged throughout space time by some by some Earthbound Immortal and brought to this timeline to serve again.

I'm gonna start working on my app. At this moment in time I'll reserve Enma Dragon - Red Demon. If I can't think of a good custom signer dragon for my character. I'm also using this mark:

65px-Mark_of_the_Dragon_-_Foot.jpg

EDIT: I'm also working on making a custom D-Wheel as well.

Reserve for Enma and the Claw done.

Correction: I didn't read ALL of the rules. That was literally the one I glazed over, but it's fixed now. For some reason I just thought that everyone else's was flavor.

Now, you just need the boss critter, or should I accept it as is?

Aiya is done now (admittedly quickly though, which is a surprise). Just need to make sure the two cards I've written are acceptable before making actual pictures of them. Much less work involved.

Oh, and Y-tak, do I has permission to change Rorccon's stats and effects slightly? Nothing major, I pwomise :3

And you read the rules. Impressive, and accepted.

Also, feel free to change Rorccon's stats and effects.

I didn't make the effects listed, though the artist, Raphtil, is a good friend of mine.
It just helps that he has a ready-made collection of Earthbound Gods. :3

I'll take the tail, and drop my Dark Signer character for now. I only want to play one character, as it's been a while since I've RP'd with the Advanced Clause, and I feel like I can do more with the Signer right now. If the situation demands, I'll put the DS back in. Also, anyone is free to pick Varemat back up if they want to use him.

Untitled04_zps858a8d60.png
"I gotta avenge Mom and Dad, and find out what happened to Makoto. He's the only sibling I have left now, and..."
"We should be focusing on casting the Signers to oblivion."
"Shut up, Rorccon; you're not helping."

Name: Tetsuya Itegami
Age: [acronym='He died when he was 14, however.]19[/acronym]
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Dark Singer - The Spiral ([acronym=He's unaware of what this MEANS, however.']Active[/acronym])
Faction: New Domino City
Appearance: Since he died when he was only 14, Tetsuya only stands about 5' 6", which is not very impressive at all, even factoring in that he would've still been undergoing puberty. In truth, it's a wonder Tetsuya out-heightens anyone at all, never mind [acronym='She of whom Tetsuya still considers as his brother rather than his sister']Makoto[/acronym] and most other women, albeit barely. However, he actually has a stocky build considering his slender frame, due to months of weight lifting whilst inside The Facility. Tetsuya also has a total of three criminal marks; one on his back in the shape of an X and another two stripe marks down the length of his right arm, whilst The Mark of The Spiral is burned onto his left forearm. Tetsuya's eyes rarely shift into the coveted inverted pupil and sclera combination due to his better control of the Dark Signer curse, and only do so when he's enraged. The final noteworthy thing is the bullet wound on Tetsuya's chest, more specifically where the heart is. It seems to have healed, but the bullet can still be found inside.
[spoiler=Pic]95dd066e66e054d22eebc95bbc020d2ea355c108[/spoiler]
Personality: Like [acronym='I forget whether her Japanese name is Rua or Ruka, so I'ma use her English one instead.']Luna[/acronym], and unlike the vast majority of other people, Tetsuya is capable of seeing and communicating with Duel Spirits, although he tends to keep communication telepathic so as to keep situations as far away from awkward as possible. Most of the Duel Spirits that Tetsuya converses with have a humanoid appearance, like Helios, and/or an actual face like Necroface, but he also regularly converses with Rorccon. Tetsuya still worries about Makoto, but the two siblings are no longer anywhere near as close as they once were, due to a resentment of her that had been building in the back of his mind. Out of all the Dark Signers, Tetsuya has the most neutral stance towards the Signer Dragons and their champions. He also actually has the most control over his curse as a Dark Signer; to the point that Rorccon has to rely on its cunning to influence Tetsuya rather than its dominating evil aura. However, the one thing that's jeopardizing any hope of full control is his temper; Tetsuya was always known to be relatively easy to provoke, especially when he himself is insulted for his ability to talk to Duel Spirits, or Makoto is insulted for her transsexuality. Rorccon's biggest concern is Tetsuya's refusal to jump straight into the fray of the holy war; he insists that he finds out what happened to Makoto and their mother before he duels any Signer. Once he learns of their true fates, however, there'll no longer be any holes barred, and Tetsuya will be happy to die knowing that they're safe and sound.
Biography: Out of the entire Itegami family, Tetsuya was the most unnerved once he realized Makoto was actually a transsexual, and made the decision to swap into being a young woman. He had mentioned multiple times about his uncertainty with the transition, but their parents ultimately decided to support Makoto every step of the way. Sighing, Tetsuya supposed this was just something that he had to live with. Slowly but surely, however, his mind was being plagued with worry about and resent towards Makoto for her decisions, with what her transsexuality coming under fire, her managing to defend her idealisms against her bullies' ridicule and her suddenly making a personal goal to raise transsexual awareness. That was the day that the two siblings stopped being close, and Tetsuya's hostility towards others grew.

But during the year following his 14th birthday, things started to go horribly wrong. His father's restaurant was shut down thanks entirely to the review of a well-respected food critic, and his mother lost her job as a fashion designer, with her business going bankrupt. On top of that, Makoto's transsexuality was once again criticized, and unable to take it any more, Tetsuya punched the next person to insult her straight in the eye. This in turn caused a fight to break out, which he'd won but paid a heavy price for; not only was he expelled from school right off the bat, but he was also charged with aggravated assault, and sent to The Facility for three months. Tetsuya passed the time by lifting weights, and participating in the underground duels using cards that had been smuggled into The Facility. But he had been released after only two months for good behaviour, and returned to the apartment that the Itegami family was now staying in... just in time to witness the intrusion.

The man who'd broke into the apartment had already shot the father in the head by the time Tetsuya arrived, and was just about to do the same to his mother before he made a leap of faith, aiming to take the bullet in the shoulder blade so then he could still chase after the man and make him pay. But Tetsuya jumped too high and too far, resulting in the bullet tearing straight into his heart and killing him instantly. Even worse, Tetsuya's sacrifice was in vain; even though he just took the last bullet of the man's gun, the man still managed to stab his mother in the back before making his escape, paralysing her from the waist down and crippling her forever. A whole year had past since that fateful tragedy, and still Tetsuya remained deceased. And even though the King of the Netherworld was contemplating reviving Tetsuya the whole time due to the desire to make up for his powerlessness, the King still sensed goodness in his heart, raising a dilemma. It was down to the Earthbound God Rorccon to convince the King of the Netherworld; even though Rorccon's aura wasn't any stronger than that of the other Earthbound Gods, it assured the King that its cunning alone would guide Tetsuya down the right path. Now, after years of trying and failing to find Makoto and their mother, Tetsuya makes a return to The Facility, about to engage a mission that he can accomplish. Rorccon can use the souls that it'll harvest, and Tetsayu still wants to avenge his parents for the attack on their apartment.
