The year is 2047. Due to a catastrophe almost 2 decades ago, a massive world-rending explosion called "Zero Reverse", the bright city of New Domino has been split into two parts. The first is the rebuilt and revitalized megatropolis of Neo Domino, a glittering gem of a city home to millions upon millions of happy urbanites under the watchful eye of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau, the strong arm of the city's enigmatic Director. The second is the rundown, decaying island ruins of Satellite, which used to be the core of the old Domino City before Zero Reverse cursed the land and its inhabitants to be exiled and subjugated by the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. Those in Neo Domino know that the slightest infraction or misstep can result in their decadent and utopian lifestyle to be shattered and be dropped from the bright skyscrapers down to the slums beneath the city, or worse, branded with a criminal mark and sent into exile in Satellite or to imprisonment in The Facility. However, as Neo Domino beats and thrives from the incredible power of Momentum, the facade of a perfect civilization is slowly coming apart at the seams. A group of psionics, long persecuted for their abilities, have banded together to create the Arcadia Movement, a subversive organization seeking to topple the regime of the PSMB. And to make matters worse, a great evil slowly stirs beneath Satellite, one responsible for the city's destruction all those years ago, and prepares itself to conquer the world. Only their eternal foes, a quintet of magnificent dragons, can hope to turn the tide and save the bright future from an ancient force of darkness!
1. All YCM Advanced Clause Rules apply.
2. NO XYZS. PERIOD. However, for archetypes that utilize Xyzs, like Madolches, Fire Fists, Atlanteans, Harpies, Bujins, and Ghostricks, you are more than welcome to make custom Tuners and Synchros for those archetypes. However, I do ask that you try not to mix and match Archetypes that are too dissimilar in theme, no matter how well they work together.
3. NO CANON CHARACTERS. PERIOD. Every character here will be user-created, though you are encouraged to make characters similar to canon 5D's characters. Do make sure the character's deck is at least somewhat fitting with their Signer Dragon or Earthbound God. For example, putting Black Rose Dragon in Mermails or Earthbound God Aslla Piscu in Agents would not work.
4. Only 1 Signer character per player, and 1 Dark Signer character per player. However, since only 3 Dark Signers start out as Dark Signers, all other Signers and Dark Signers will be potentials.
5. We will be using the Japanese card names and term names in this RP. I don't think anyone will have a problem with it, but I would advise, to acclimate to their usage, to check out Duel Monsters Expert on BYOND. They use the Japanese names on that system.
6. No Dark Synchro Monsters. Also, we will be utilizing the TCG/OCG versions of canon cards whenever possible. However, I will accept custom archetypes, custom cards supporting real archetypes, custom Signer Dragons, and custom Earthbound Gods.
7. Duels will have 4000 LP, except in very specific scenarios. Furthermore, Ground Duels and Speed Duels will utilize the same rules. CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES will happen, but not with the Speed World and Speed Spell limitations.
8. When dueling, make sure to discuss things with your dueling partner(s) beforehand. Duels can turn into a massive mess when both duelists do not agree and plot out the duel, so I strongly urge you to do so. Also, when posting your dueling information, make sure you display or link to the descriptions of your cards, especially if they are custom cards.
9. Remove anything from the application in parantheses. If you have read these rules, include a quote in italics of your character just before the start of the application.
10. Have fun! :3

Accepted Characters:

"These unholy beings shall embrace the cold soon enough, and this world shall be purged of their evil. But I demand that we get this over with. I've a kingdom to return to and rule as queen, and this god-forsaken place makes me wish there was an edge of the world to fall off of."

Name: Aiya Tsurara
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Singer - The Wings (Active)
Faction: Pro Duelist
67fb131c1c84b9444f1f193308044de6a161a54d
Personality: As the future queen of her lands, Aiya can be quite insistent in her orders towards others, although she's yet to learn that she can't just boss everyone around as she does... or perhaps anyone for that matter. She also has a cold tongue (not literally, obviously, but metaphorically), and can be rather spiteful at times, especially if she's rubbed the wrong way. Aiya uses real monsters and real magic in her duels; as such, she is capable of inflicting physical harm to her opponent like one would suffer in a psychic duel. Hence why she seems to have a knack of detecting the strong duelists from the weak. She'll only duel the strong ones, and if she's challenged by someone she personally deems unworthy, then she'll be quick to turn her back to the challenger in question. And although she'll have to get used to all the technology that Neo Domino City has to offer, with her civilization practically being medieval in comparison, Aiya doesn't seem to be interested in any of this highly advanced stuff. Then again, she's got more important things to worry about... like the holy war between the Signers and the Dark Signers, for example.
Biography: The future queen of the distant lands of Frosteria, who had come from said lands and ventured thousands of miles south in her holy quest to smite the Dark Signers from this world. Aiya Tsurara was destined to be the queen of Frosteria, even showing potential to overthrow the current one. Although she partook in the ritualistic duel against the current queen and won, however, Aiya was immediately summoned by the Crimson Dragon just after the events of the Zero Reverse, with the Crimson Dragon knowing full well that Aiya would otherwise be too late to aid in the Holy War. This meant abandoning her legacy as the new queen of Frosteria, but it was a sacrifice she had to make. After this quest was over and done with, Aiya swore an oath to return to Frosteria, to claim her just reward in the ability to rule over the Frosterian Kingdom. Perhaps with some inspiration from New Domino City, Aiya would come up with some ideas to boost the Frosterian Kingdom out of the Iron Age once and for all, and mold it into more of an empire. But that was for another time; for now, Aiya needed to make great haste in her journey south.

However, as soon as she reached her destination, Aiya had a feeling that she was going to loathe her time in New Domino City, even though she was anticipating that she was to venture inside a whole new world. This was mostly because everything about New Domino City was just too complicated for Aiya's liking, but being unable to boss anyone around made matters worse. Thankfully, Aiya had her leads as where this evil seemed to originate from, and began dueling in the underground to pass the time, where she had actually managed to find some worthy opposition. Now all she needed to do was wait, and bide for the arrival of a Dark Signer.

Name: Gao, Xiaoyin (its Chinese so her family name is said first)
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Signer (Potential)
Faction: Neo Domino
4e4b6.jpg
Personality: Xiaoyin is one of, if not the most polite, children that you will ever meet. Her childhood characteristics often show that she is a fun loving soul. She doesn't truly understand confrontation and is a true free spirit. When it comes to playing card games she's only truly good at them because she's one of the young students at Duel Academy and its a requirement. But one thing she loves to do is watch turbo duels. To her those are such intense and fun looking sports that she would like to try. To the rest of the world people would look at Xiaoyin as a regular young girl. Not even she herself could see herself doing things that a signer may have to do. Though thanks to her can do attitude she is always willing to try.

Biography: The Gao family come from a long line of herbalist. Throughout history the family is filled with door-to-door herb salesman and traveling healers. As time progressed, the family of herbalist becomes a family of pharmacist. Naturally her family continued to be in the medical field as was tradition and therefore that is her goal. The Gao family isn’t a well known or famous family in Neo Domino City, but they do have a reputation for helping out some of the lower and middle class residents of Neo Domino City. Many different kinds of people come to the Gao family’s pharmacy. Now the family is expanding its business and opening a new corporate headquarters in the more metropolitan side of town. Of course this is also to help with funding their daughter’s woefully expensive education. Luckily Xiaoyin tends to do well in school and is in the top of her class.

Xiaoyin’s school life is quite ordinary for an 11 year old. She spends a lot of time with her friends practicing their dueling skills and studying, but in addition to that she enjoys the perks of using her pro-duelist big brother. As the family member of a pro-duelist she tends to get free tickets to his events and other big events that he may not even be participating in. One day she realizes that there is an actual invitation for her to participate in the fortune cup. This was great news for her so she invited her entire family.
"Everyone has dreams, no matter how small and obscure they may be. Despite losing my best friend, his spirit will live on and I will use my deck to achieve my dreams of meeting my grandparents in Neo Domino."
Name: Silver Kaiyuja
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Signer (Claw, Potential)
Faction: Satellite
Appearance:
.................Duelist......................................................Duel Disk
qr7ys.jpg
YubelDiskII.jpg
Personality: Silver is a fun-loving guy who enjoys a good laugh and even though he lost his best friend to a tragic accident involving a duel gang, he misses him, but he doesn't want to show it very often especially to some of the other duel gangs around satellite as he knows that some of those are roughnecks. Despite this, he is still a great guy to hang around with and he often puts his friends' welfare ahead of his own. When Duelling, Silver has been shown to respect his opponents but he would only resort to trash talking should he get provoked, and in recent years he has learned to channel his anger in the cards that he uses and this helps him keep a clear head.
Biography: Silver was born within the satellite sector and has dreams of living in Neo Domino City as his grandparents reside there and he would like to meet them before they die as his parents had told him that his grandparents were nice people. Growing up, Silver was taught that if he had a duelling deck of his own that he would be respected by others living in the satellite. Whilst running an errand for his parents, Silver had found a pile of cards on the ground under some scrap metal, he looked to see if anyone else had noticed them and a couple of minutes later he confirmed that the coast was clear and he walked up to the pile to pick it up, but it turned out that the he was watched by a few boys who were standing around the corner and thought that it was odd that someone would be standing on the spot for a few minutes for no reason, and so they walked up to him to see what Silver had in his hands. Silver turned around to the boys who asked him what he had found and showed them the cards and explained that he was told that having a duelling deck would hopefully earn him some respect around here which caused the boys to get their cards from their pockets and agree with him as the cards that they had on them were also found lying around the place and the possession of said cards gained them some respected from older kids in their district who engaged with trades and duels with the boys. With that in mind, the boys wondered if Silver wanted to become an honourary member of their duelling group in their district to which he said yes and they shared a fistbump, symbolising that they would be friends.

At the age of 12, his parents handed him a deck that has been passed down by his grandparents, an "Eradjinn" deck in which hopes that by using this, he will reach his dreams of going to Neo Domino. A few years later, he and 3 of his friends (Who were the guys he made friends with when he picked up a pile of cards lying around) formed a duel gang and wanted to make a reputation of themselves. During a battle with the Duel Gang "The Hunters", Silver's best friend James chased after the leader up a building that looked unsafe and when they got to the top floor, the leader had made a dangerous jump and urged James to go on depsite pleas from Silver and his other friends down below to not make the jump, however they were jumped by other members of "The Hunters" and the leader threw a hook onto James' duel disk and walked forward, forcing James to jump at which point, the leader let go causing James to fall to his death. Silver and his friends (Kyle and Steve) were deeply saddened by this loss, but they decided to man up as well knowing that James would've wanted them to continue living towards their dreams.
Deck Type: Eradjinn deck. (A deck that centres around destruction)
Ace/Favorite Cards: Enma Dragon - Red Demons, King of Divine Punishment, Black Highlander, Eradjinn Gauntlet-Daemon, Eradjinn Doom-Daemon
You mean to tell me that the only way to exist is with degradation and pain? NO! I refuse to believe that this world has no room to coexist, no room to help or be helped! That is a false dichotomy, and I aim to change that forever!
Name: Grenan der Meiden
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Signer (Tail, Scrap Dragon, Potential)
Faction: Satellite, maybe Pro Duelist if the story allows.
Appearance: Gren stands at about 5’8”. While this is fairly tall, that didn’t stop him from being constantly assaulted. He has bright blond hair which is only kept out of his eyes by his own expert use of hair clippers. Because of the harsh conditions of Satellite, he is constantly dirty; wearing patched clothing practically all the time, save for a very nice vest he found in a pile of trash. He also has an amalgam of bruises over his body from the constant beatings that he and every citizen of Satellite have on them at one point or another. He has almost sky blue eyes, and these, combined with his hair, his heritage, and his deck, have given him the nickname “Sir Scrapenstein” (or sometimes “Sir Crapenstein”) by the majority of Satellite.

Personality: Grenan is a tinker, a messer-about. Thanks to the decadence of Neo Domino’s mechanics, (who throw out their machinery as soon as anything even remotely superior comes on the market), Gren has the best lab in Satellite with which to mess around with the junk he finds there. He is a hard worker, and relentless on some issues; he will go several days without food or sleep if he’s stuck on a problem. By that same logic, he is also very passionate about certain issues regarding Neo Domino, specifically the re-integration of Satellite into the rest of the city, as well as the continued elitism and punitive stance of the members of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. He aspires to ride in the WRGP with a team one day, so if he duels and likes the other duelist enough, he offers them an invitiation.

Bio: Gren was born during the Zero Reverse. Surprisingly, his mother’s hospital room was one of the few nearly unaffected by the calamitous explosion. However, their financial situation was adversely affected by the explosion. Gren’s father was a barber of some skill, but his shop was destroyed by debris, and the only property that was within their means was in Satellite. Bizarrely enough, the barbershop became a sort of neutral territory for the various gangs that roamed the streets of Satellite after the calamity. Through that, Gren learned of the reasons behind the existence of many of the gangs: Food shortages, as well as poor oversight on landlordship, forced the people of Satellite into gangs in order to survive. In other words, Security’s (possibly intentional) mismanagement of the relief effort. Bearing this knowledge in mind, Gren is trying to make himself known throughout the dueling world, to be invited to Neo Domino. If he wins a major tournament (like the WRGP), he can usethe fame to promote a better relief program to Satellite, and maybe even repair the Infinity Bridge. Of course, dueling the best is its own reward.

Deck: Scrap
Ace/Favorite Cards: Scrap Dragon, Scrap Archfiend, Scrap Motor, Scrap King
"If the people in Satellite must suffer in order for the people of Neo Domino to survive, then it is for the greater good. We have done much to help the citizens of Satellite for the past 18 years by giving them regular supplies and medicine. But any attempts to rebuild have been met with hostility. Any attempts at pacification and reintegration have resulted in infighting and chaos. We simply cannot hold two cities at once. So, for the greater good, we must keep watch over Satellite."
Name: Hettie Tendo
Age: 47
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Signer - Brand
Faction: PSMB/Yliaster
Appearance:
Blind_Girl_by_jezebel.jpg
Personality: Hettie is a very gentle being, possessing a rather motherly disposition and genuinely caring about her city. However, when it comes to the issue of Psychics, Satellite residents, and the poor and disenfranchised, she will become rather strict, seeing them as needing to know their place and understand how integral they are to her utopian society. She is very calm and slow to anger, but can become stern in an instant. She believes that she is correct, and will not back down in the face of adversity. However, her caring persona on the exterior has made her rather popular among the better-off citizens of Neo Domino, as well as many of the members of the Public Safety Maintenance Bureau.
Biography: Hettie, long ago, used to be one of the top scientists for KaibaCorp as part of their Momentum Investigation and Development Section, or "MIDS" for short. There, in the heart of old Domino City, the best and brightest in all manner of fields of physics worked laboriously to solve their world's energy problems. When one brilliant scientist and his partner came up with the incredible idea of using a previously-unknown particle as an energy source, the incredible power of Momentum was born, a perpetual energy device capable of fueling their world's energy needs for potentially forever. However, mysterious hands decided that Momentum must be destroyed, and thus sabotaged the prototype reactor to go critical. Hettie managed to save many lives, but was unable to rescue the soul of her twin sister, Talia, who was attempting to salvage the failing reactor. Hettie barely managed to escape Ground Zero, but Talia was consumed, while Hettie lost her eyesight, but gained the ability to see the future.
Blind, alone, and in the worst disaster area of all time, Hettie somehow managed to make her way back to what was left of Domino City, and began the long process of reconstruction. Thanks to her influence, she was able to form the Public Security Maintenance Bureau, and became their Director, the defacto leader of the entire city. Not even what little was left of the city's own municipal government was powerless to stop Hettie's institution of her new regime. Through the PSMB, Hettie set about making her city even greater, but at great cost to the lower classes and to the poor civilians of Satellite, who remained in the dark and unrepresented in the city across the straight. Furthermore, the very worst of Neo Domino started to be transplanted onto Satellite, as if it was a penal colony, and reclamation centers, glorified factories where what could be recovered from the ruins was processed and then transported to Neo Domino, were established to give the people of Satellite jobs. But even though the center holds, two new factions seek to topple over Hettie's utopia, and even her foresight might not save her from the wrath of her long-deceased sister.
Deck Type: Arcana Force Deck, which doubles as a Tarot Deck.
"The script does not say that you survive this battle. Allow me to be the one who conducts your requiem."
Name: Solasiro Antologia
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Dark Signer - Dog
Faction: Satellite
anime20boy5E5E_zps846fb313.jpeg
Personality: Solasiro believes that "all the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." However, he views himself as the director, and as such is very over the top in nature. Believing everything to have been pre-ordained by fate, Solasiro strives to ensure what he is certain is meant to happen. It can be difficult to read his emotions, as though he may remark what a pity it is when he has to kill an enemy, in truth, he thrills killing people. While he is aware that Talia is the leader of the Dark Signers, Solasiro is biding himself, seeking an opportunity for when it would be appropriate to usurp her control.
Solasiro was a member of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau, although rather than taking criminals to the Facility, he would often dump them into Satellite, thinking that it would be a waste of money to keep the prisoners in what relatively decent conditions would be allowed. At first, he was able to get away with this, but soon his exploits were discovered. As punishment, he was sent to the Facility, the one place he liked to avoid. What little humanity was shown by the officers there disgusted Solasiro, and so he refused to eat his food, hoping to starve himself. The warden, familiar with Solasiro, held Solasiro down and forced him to eat his food. After that, Solasiro began to respect the warden, but warned him that if a riot were to ever ensue, Solasiro would make sure to kill him.

Solasiro's threat earned him a place in solitary confinement for a month, but Solasiro's body would not fail him. When he was returned to his cell, he waited, hoping that Hell would soon take him. Remarkably, it seemed like someone had answered him, as when Solasiro woke up, he found himself with a blank card. He kept it hidden, but not for very long. The warden challenged Solasiro to a duel, and supplied Solasiro with a deck, but there was another condition to the duel. Electric manacles to attached to both Solasiro and the warden, with Solasiro having a high enough voltage where, if he lost, he would die, but if he won, he'd be allowed to apply for parole. Alas, the duel ended with Solasiro's defeat, although he miraculously survived the electrical shock. As such, Solasiro was returned to his cell, the warden mocking him, and the prisoners growing even more depressed.

Then, finally, a riot did break out. Solasiro never knew what caused it, but regardless, he took the opportunity to make his way out. Solasiro sought out the warden, while other prisoners either fell to the officers or managed to break through. Knocking the warden to the ground, Solasiro choked him to death, fulfilling his promise. Solasiro is now in the run, wandering around Satellite, in the company of many fugitives.
Deck Type: Uses Crystal Beasts, which will support his Earthbound God.
Ace/Favorite Cards: Earthbound God Ccoshobar, Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins

"Seriously...card games again. I need a drink."

Name: Lucas Matthews

Gender: Male

Age: 62

Faction/Allegiance: Dark Signer/Earthbound Cult (The Heron)

Appearance: Lucas is the typical average height of 5'11 and retains a very slim build with a nice dark brown skin complexion. His conservative nature has allowed him to accept every aspect of aging gracefully therefore he retain a full head of gray hair that is always styled, gelled, and cut similar to the to ways of the ad-men in the 1960's. His skim is full of intense wrinkles such as the onset of crows feet and and the variety of wrinkles in his cheek bones and along his forehead. Because of his occupation his fingernails always got dirty so he would always make severe effort to have his nails and hands manicured if at all possible complementing his look of the perfect gentlemen. The typical gentlemen who always wears a three piece suits. He is the epitome of conservative with his monocle he never tends to wear anything that would resemble casual wear. In terms of dueling since he is new to the sport/game was able to find a fashionable tote/messenger back for which he stores his duel disk and deck.

Personality: Lucas is the typical intellectual and curious type. Always asking "why" and always wanting to know the origins of stuff. In his old age however he is completely intolerant of the young. In fact he hates that everything depends on a children's card game and a quite elaborate one at that. He barely knows how to play the game and he wouldn't be considered good if the fact remained that he is a very thorough reader. His constant inquiry about trying to ascertain the future and knowing what comes next has lead to his mastery of a certain play style. While being old he always maintains an apparent level of calmness and never shows any emotion which comes in handy since he is also a heavy drinker. He can always be found looking for and subsequently helping himself to the nearest bottle of Scotch, Brandi, Cognac, etc.

Bio: Lucas is an archaeologist by trade or was one. He was always fascinated with the past and future, the terracotta soldiers of China, the pyramids of Egypt, the hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Nazca lines which later known to be giant spirits gone to rest but still they were something worth looking into. He spent his entire life learning about the great mysteries of the world. He lived a life fulfilled but as time would have it is harder to scale mountains and go through secret passageways if you get old so he retired naturally. Becoming noted in the field he did hear of myths about people who could discover an undeniable treasure so of course he had to check it out and join them.
In terms of Duel monsters however Lucas never really got into the game. In fact he never understand how the game could become such a staple of life as everyone knows it. He did however spoil his grandson Victor in getting him a duel runner and helping him by the latest cards until Victor was fully sponsored as professional because that is what grandparents do spoil their grand-kids. Victor did try to teach his old man how to play the game but it was hard enough to understand the difference in green, pink, and brownish-orange cards. Then you introduce the purple, blue, black, and white ones and special ways those can be used it was pretty frustrating but nice way to bond with your offspring. When Lucas joined this new cult of Orichalcos he was informed about the method in which souls were taken. He was pissed, he didn't show it but he was pissed. He would have called his grandson, who was a big pro now going around the world competing in global circuits, but saying teach me how to take a person's soul is not the most appropriate thing you want to ask of a person. So he discovered dueling on his own and was able to find a set of cards that referenced himself quite nicely without the need of the rainbow set of cards.

Interestingly enough at the end of the events that surrounded the impact of the Orichalcos Lucas found himself defeated not by any of the three chosen ones but by his own grandson. It was surely a bittersweet moment in his life mainly because it was the end of his life. Its not that he was afraid of death he was just sad that it was his grandson that was forced to do him in. But what an outstanding young man his grandson grew up to be. As he let the warm glow of the Orichalcos finally take his soul he took one last drink and took his last breathe. Little did he know that he was not done dueling and playing this card game that he wasn't truly interested in. It was quick as it felt like a second but his eyes immediately burst open. He gasped for air in strict panic and he realized that there was something off about himself. He looked at his hands and he realized that for some odd reason he was alive. He didn't know where he was as it appeared to be some kind of warehouse in the middle of nowhere. He looked around and once he saw a mirror he was gobsmacked by his appearance. His eyes were blackened, his skin unnaturally grey and pale, and finally his clothes were all morbid and dark. They still retained their similar suit like fashion but there seemed to be some edition of a random cloak and throughout ensemble was some a purple outline that detailed some Aztec like pattern. Eventually he walked outside this warehouse to see that he was in what looked to be a junkyard and in the distance a far wondrous city.

In no time at all he was approached by a biker gang who had weird yellow tattoos over their faces and instead of just simply mugging him they challenge him to a card game. Naturally he cringed but when he saw that he had a new dark duel disk and his True Sirs got some new employees he shrugged and was ready to just see what happened. He had died once and its not like he truly clung to life. During his duel with the thugs he was naturally holding his own. Then he drew his new boss monster. This monster didn't have "True Sirs" in its name. He naturally summoned this creature and that was when everything got clear. The massive beast resonated with its owner and that is when he understood what had happened. Apparently his soul was dragged throughout time and placed into some similar mortal shell and he was given psuedo-life. After easily winning the match against the bikers he weighed his options. It looked like he was about to become a part of another cult. He did remember liking the Nazca Lines so why not go with the flow. From the looks of it he jumped into the future a bit so it would be nice to see what the future looked like.
"Forgive me for putting self-preservation first."

Name: Claudia Andevern
Age: 16 (died at 10)
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Dark Signer - Flower
Faction: Earthbound Cult
MQxxfAJ.png
Claudia takes a form very similar as to when she was alive, that of a young child, and stands at about 3’6” weighing about 57 pounds.
Personality: Despite the fact that she is part of a cult intent on ending the world Claudia is quite friendly, though most the times she comes off as stiff and cryptic. She will always show others respect, and demands that others show it return having a pet peeve for rude or boisterous people. Claudia is also very formal, not matter on how good of terms she is with somebody, and will correct slang and improper language harshly. Under this air of maturity Claudia has a deep ingrained fear of death, and will do anything to make sure she doesn't die again.

Because of her mature behavior it is easily forgotten that she is in fact only a child, and can come as a surprise to people when she acts her age. Though not easily excited when Claudia finds someone her age, or someone willing to play with her, she can become extremely hyper, though fast movements are often awkward for her as she isn't used to them.
Claudia’s first life was a short one. Born shortly after the events of Zero Reverse Claudia was a sickly child forced to remain bedridden her entire life. Thankfully because of her parent’s roles as politicians she received private tutors who kept up her education. This all bored her though, the tutoring was boring and easy, and Claudia constantly yearned to go play outside hearing the laughter of other children just outside her window.

It was about the time she turned six that Claudia began to see spirits, not Duel Spirits, but those of the departed. Often when nobody was around they would come and play with her. Some were former duelist and even help her build her deck and dueled with her, others thought up imaginative stories to tell her, no matter who they were though Claudia was always entertained. When others would enter, and ask who she was talking to or what she was laughing Claudia would only respond all of her friends. Many thought this cute, and that in her loneliness Claudia had dreamt up countless imaginary friends to keep her company.

After a few years though the cuteness of it began to wear off and those who surrounded Claudia began to tell her to grow-up. Puzzled as to why they couldn’t see the spirits Claudia became introverted talked less and less. Ironically because she had this ability Claudia saw the Banshee hanging over, shrieking her awful death song, the night before she died. As she passed though she felt an odd tugging on her soul, and found herself in audience with the King of the Underworld, who asked Claudia if she wished for a second chance at life this time without sickness. Jumping at the chance to finally live out her childhood Claudia accepted and became one of the Dark Signers.

"I gotta avenge Mom and Dad, and find out what happened to Makoto. He's the only sibling I have left now, and..."
"We should be focusing on casting the Signers to oblivion."
"Shut up, Rorccon; you're not helping."

Name: Tetsuya Itegami
Age: [acronym='He died when he was 14, however.]19[/acronym]
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Dark Singer - The Spiral ([acronym=He's unaware of what this MEANS, however.']Active[/acronym])
Faction: New Domino City
Appearance: Since he died when he was only 14, Tetsuya only stands about 5' 6", which is not very impressive at all, even factoring in that he would've still been undergoing puberty. In truth, it's a wonder Tetsuya out-heightens anyone at all, never mind [acronym="She of whom Tetsuya still considers as his brother rather than his sister"]Makoto[/acronym] and most other women, albeit barely. However, he actually has a stocky build considering his slender frame, due to months of weight lifting whilst inside The Facility. Tetsuya also has a total of three criminal marks; one on his back in the shape of an X and another two stripe marks down the length of his right arm, whilst The Mark of The Spiral is burned onto his left forearm. Tetsuya's eyes rarely shift into the coveted inverted pupil and sclera combination due to his better control of the Dark Signer curse, and only do so when he's enraged. The final noteworthy thing is the bullet wound on Tetsuya's chest, more specifically where the heart is. It seems to have healed, but the bullet can still be found inside.
95dd066e66e054d22eebc95bbc020d2ea355c108
Personality: Like [acronym="I forget whether her Japanese name is Rua or Ruka, so I" ma use her English one instead.']Luna[/acronym], and unlike the vast majority of other people, Tetsuya is capable of seeing and communicating with Duel Spirits, although he tends to keep communication telepathic so as to keep situations as far away from awkward as possible. Most of the Duel Spirits that Tetsuya converses with have a humanoid appearance, like Helios, and/or an actual face like Necroface, but he also regularly converses with Rorccon. Tetsuya still worries about Makoto, but the two siblings are no longer anywhere near as close as they once were, due to a resentment of her that had been building in the back of his mind. Out of all the Dark Signers, Tetsuya has the most neutral stance towards the Signer Dragons and their champions. He also actually has the most control over his curse as a Dark Signer; to the point that Rorccon has to rely on its cunning to influence Tetsuya rather than its dominating evil aura. However, the one thing that's jeopardizing any hope of full control is his temper; Tetsuya was always known to be relatively easy to provoke, especially when he himself is insulted for his ability to talk to Duel Spirits, or Makoto is insulted for her transsexuality. Rorccon's biggest concern is Tetsuya's refusal to jump straight into the fray of the holy war; he insists that he finds out what happened to Makoto and their mother before he duels any Signer. Once he learns of their true fates, however, there'll no longer be any holes barred, and Tetsuya will be happy to die knowing that they're safe and sound.
Biography: Out of the entire Itegami family, Tetsuya was the most unnerved once he realized Makoto was actually a transsexual, and made the decision to swap into being a young woman. He had mentioned multiple times about his uncertainty with the transition, but their parents ultimately decided to support Makoto every step of the way. Sighing, Tetsuya supposed this was just something that he had to live with. Slowly but surely, however, his mind was being plagued with worry about and resent towards Makoto for her decisions, with what her transsexuality coming under fire, her managing to defend her idealisms against her bullies' ridicule and her suddenly making a personal goal to raise transsexual awareness. That was the day that the two siblings stopped being close, and Tetsuya's hostility towards others grew.

But during the year following his 14th birthday, things started to go horribly wrong. His father's restaurant was shut down thanks entirely to the review of a well-respected food critic, and his mother lost her job as a fashion designer, with her business going bankrupt. On top of that, Makoto's transsexuality was once again criticized, and unable to take it any more, Tetsuya punched the next person to insult her straight in the eye. This in turn caused a fight to break out, which he'd won but paid a heavy price for; not only was he expelled from school right off the bat, but he was also charged with aggravated assault, and sent to The Facility for three months. Tetsuya passed the time by lifting weights, and participating in the underground duels using cards that had been smuggled into The Facility. But he had been released after only two months for good behaviour, and returned to the apartment that the Itegami family was now staying in... just in time to witness the intrusion.

The man who'd broke into the apartment had already shot the father in the head by the time Tetsuya arrived, and was just about to do the same to his mother before he made a leap of faith, aiming to take the bullet in the shoulder blade so then he could still chase after the man and make him pay. But Tetsuya jumped too high and too far, resulting in the bullet tearing straight into his heart and killing him instantly. Even worse, Tetsuya's sacrifice was in vain; even though he just took the last bullet of the man's gun, the man still managed to stab his mother in the back before making his escape, paralysing her from the waist down and crippling her forever. A whole year had past since that fateful tragedy, and still Tetsuya remained deceased. And even though the King of the Netherworld was contemplating reviving Tetsuya the whole time due to the desire to make up for his powerlessness, the King still sensed goodness in his heart, raising a dilemma. It was down to the Earthbound God Rorccon to convince the King of the Netherworld; even though Rorccon's aura wasn't any stronger than that of the other Earthbound Gods, it assured the King that its cunning alone would guide Tetsuya down the right path. Now, after years of trying and failing to find Makoto and their mother, Tetsuya makes a return to The Facility, about to engage a mission that he can accomplish. Rorccon can use the souls that it'll harvest, and Tetsayu still wants to avenge his parents for the attack on their apartment.

Gender: Female
Allegiance: Dark Signer - Hands?
Faction: Earthbound Cult
Appearance:
Personality: Talia is a rather sadistic and malicious person, but is excellent at manipulating others and making people believe her. However, she truly sees those beneath her as nothing but playthings, pieces to be moved across a board in order to take down her enemies. She is more than willing to sacrifice what she has to obtain her objectives. However, she is far from stupid, and is quite cunning in enacting her plans. Her plots usually have multiple layers of complexity and redundancy, and even if it seems like she has failed a primary goal, she has most likely done something else to hinder her foes or simply distracted them long enough for a different phase of her plans to be executed. This, and her skill at the dark arts, make her a terrifying foe, especially since she is not the true face of the Earthbound Cult, but merely an advisor.
Biography: Talia, long ago, used to be one of the top scientists for KaibaCorp as part of their Momentum Investigation and Development Section, or "MIDS" for short. Talia rushed to the failing reactor in a futile attempt to salvage her work and prevent a catastrophic event from occurring, and rebuked her sister's pleas to evacuate, desperately clinging to the hope that she could save the city. She was vaporized upon the initiation of Zero Reverse.
Talia's soul was catapulted through many worlds, each one driving her closer and closer to madness, but she eventually arrived in the Netherworld, the first soul to visit there through technological means. The King of the Netherworld, intrigued by the latest arrival to his court, decided to strike her a deal. He knew exactly who brought her here, and he could very easily rectify the problem of her being dead by entwining her soul to both him and the enemies of her enemies, the slumbering Earthbound Gods. The Zero Reverse had weakened their bonds, and she, one who could bridge the gap between life and death, would be taught the power to harness their immense strength, accepting, Talia was reborn as the first of the Dark Signers, and set about resurrecting those she deemed to be key to her plans to destroy Yliaster, and their protector, her own flesh and blood.
"Yes! Come on! Fulfill your selfish desire for hope! Hope is naught! Hope is but a lie, lie, lie, lie, LIE!"

Name: Fuuka Kokoro

Age: 18

Gender: F
Allegiance: Dark Signer (Hummingbird) Potential
Faction: Neo Domino
Appearance:
eap7vt.jpg
OOC: Rare picture of her smiling. She won't do that often, I feel.
Personality: As a result of her murky past, Fuuka's personality had been rendered twisted and distorted. She has a nihilist view on the world, thinking that hope doesn't exist, and that it's just a lie made by people to console themselves. This would be fine, if it weren't for her tendency of forcing this belief down other people's throats. She has a weird fixation on destroying other people's hope, either through duels or 'other methods'. But, she still knows her limits and doesn't go around crushing people's dreams, at least for now.

She is also prone to jealousy fits and despises happy couples, since her only attempt at a relationship ended in bloodshed. Fuuka is also a sadist and enjoys seeing her opponents suffer in duels. She can only maintain her calm and collected self for a few hours and even the slightest bit of wrong touch can cause her to snap.

Biography: Fuuka was born to a wealthy, high-class family in Neo Domino city and had a normal childhood, for the most part. Her father and mother are both workaholics and heavy drinkers, leaving her to be mostly in the care of her uncle. Her uncle, who was a pretty respectable duelist at the time, taught her how to duel and would often take her for a ride in his Duel Runner. To her, her uncle was like a role model. She aspired to be a professional duelist and be the first female to win a Riding Duel championship. Life seemed fine for her, but things were about to take a turn for the worse.

Shortly after her 11th birthday, her mother fell sick from a liver complication. No matter how much money were put into keeping her alive, she passed away. This incident started to change Fuuka's view on life, as well as forcing her uncle to work even harder to help Fuuka's dad to support her. One thing led to another, and her uncle also passed away after a high speed Riding Duel. Her only figure of hope is now gone, and Fuuka found herself alone for the first time. "If we are going to die anyway, why is it that people work so hard, clinging on to a single thread of hope?" That was a questioned she asked to herself, and often to her uncle's grave time and time again.

2 years later, she found a new hope: One of her classmates in Duel Academy. The short time spent with him felt so sweet to Fuuka, and she was almost prepared to throw away her past and propose to him. Of course, that didn't go well either. Turns out that he was only dating Fuuka under orders of the school principal as some sort of counseling program, and that he already had a girlfriend. Naturally, she didn't take the news well. One night, she couldn't control her anger anymore and snapped. She took a kitchen knife, went to her 'boyfriend's house and murdered him with a dark grin on her face.

Since then, she reverted back to her old, nihilist self, but with a new found tendency for destruction. She acts as a sweet, and for the most part, normal girl in Duel Academy. However, her true self starts to show in duels and when people start to talk about hope and dreams.
Deck Type: Ragion Turbo. A highly unstable deck which focuses on drawing multiple cards through Ragin's effect, before ultimately sending them back to the grave to extend the combo even further. Represents Fuuka's distorted view of hope and tendency for wanton destruction.
Ace/Favorite Cards: Demon Roar God Ragion, Infernity Gun, Demon Roar God Beast Chawa, Demon Roar God Kushano, Earthbound God Asslla Piscu(not yet acquired, obv)
“Com’on Mr.Hero, I know you can do better then that! If you don’t win soon, what do ya think will happen to all your friends?”

Name: Belphor Strider
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Dark Signer - Giant (Potential)
Faction: Pro duelist/ Earthbound Cult
Appearance:
AnimeBlondeBoy3.jpg
Personality: Before death, Belphor was a fun loving, and laid back individual. Working as a member of his brother’s pit crew, he spent the majority of his time watching pro matches, and learning about duel runners. When he finally became a pro duelist, Belphor’s personality took an argent turn. Extremely confident his abilities, he will often accept any challenge, no matter how tough the opponent. Though he enjoys screwing with the competition, Belphor is extremely respectful to his fan's, by which he is adored.

After becoming a dark signer, Belphor has still kept a lot of his relaxed attitude, but now finds an odd satisfaction in watching others fall into despair, or being put into dire situations. Seemingly always in a good mood Belphor tends to use a combination of mocking politeness, and sarcasm to taunt both friends, and foe alike. That along with him being extremely perceptive when it comes to human nature, makes him an expert at getting in his target’s head, and playing mind games.

Biography: Belphor was born into a middle class family that seemed to be cut right from a magazine cover; complete with a stay at home mom, Dad who was always working, and a brother that seemed to be better at everything. He spent his free time in his family’s garage, tampering with duel runner parts, while his older brother went on the road to become a pro duelist. Though he didn't realize it back then, Belphor found the whole situation unbelievable boring, and longed for something interesting to happen.

Belphor’s hopes for change were finally answered at the age of fifteen, when his elder brother managed to make it into the pro league, as the 12th ranking duelist. Extremely proud of his brothers accomplishment, young Belphor begged to be apart of his team. After whole year of working in the pro league, his knowledge of both duel monsters, and racing were exponential, and his brother's team had managed to move all the way to 6th in rank. When the season had ended, Belphor's family held a lavish party to celebrate the success of their son's. It was that same night, there was gas leak in leak in the Strider family home, that caused a massive explosion, killing everyone inside. On the doorstep of death, Belphor came to the conclusion that he had wasted his life living in the shadow of his brother, and that he could have done so much more. The Earthbound immortals responded to his desperate will to live, but before they could create a new dark signer, Belphor was miraculously saved by the paramedics.

The only survivor of the explosion, Belphor was left confused, and without purpose. The power of the Immortals still lingered within him, trapped, and waiting to be released in his moment of death. Unbeknownst to Belphor this power soon became the drive that pushed him to join the duelist league, and before long he claimed his spot as 6th ranking duelist.

Deck Type: Currently, Belphor uses an Evil hero deck, that’s main focus is swarming the field with powerful fusion monsters.

As a dark signer, Belphor uses a Fiend/Archfiend deck, that focuses on destroying his opponent’s defenses, before beating them down. He doesn't make use of the Chess based monsters, but instead uses a number of other fiend/dark support cards.
“Try as we might to think otherwise, humans would be nothing without progress. The future IS progress, and the longer we lament on the past the more we lose sight of our progress. The past is the venom that poisons the future, and the Arcadia Movement will be the one to remove that venom.”

Name: Kirkmond Troy

Age: 39

Gender: Male

Allegiance: Dark Signer - Snake (Potential)

Faction: Arcadia Movement

Appearance: Kirkmond is 5”9 with a trim build. His hair is kept short but slightly wavy, and is toned light brown with slight gray patches. His gray eyes are hidden behind a pair of reflective rectangular glasses. He has no other defining features aside from a little bit of stubble on his chin and a small cross-shaped earring on his left ear.

He constantly wears his lab coat, which is always buttoned up by the top two buttons, but the remainder of it is left open and swishing. Underneath his coat he wears a simple brown vest, buttoned up and with hanker chief folded in the top left pocket. His white button up shirt is always done up and tucked into his black pants, though the ends of his sleeves are always pinned together with cuff links. He wears a simple black tie which is tucked neatly under his vest.

His black pants are ironed every morning, and always have a perfect crease along the sides. Like his pants, his black shoes are also always polished every morning, and can always capture the light. They’re so shiny you can see your face in them.

Personality: Kirkmond is a scientist, and the most important thing to him is progress. Progress of humanity, and progress of his research into Venom. Everything else is purely an after thought; especially the Signers. He deems them an eyesore as well as another drop of venom to be removed from humanity. As for the Movement, he adores them. The Psionics are the way of the future, the way of progress. They are the shining stars in the dark sky of humanity. In case it was not richly apparant, he would do anything and everything for the advancement of the Movement.

He has a special kind of malice for the hopeless fools who always lament upon their past. What good is looking back? All it does it make you trip as you walk forward. Always look forward with your head held high, for there is nothing of importance behind you. Nothing. At. All.

Biography: Roughly a decade ago, Kirkmond was a scientist who had immigrated from England to a shady Chemical Research Lab in Neo Domino City in order to study venoms to be used as 'medications', though he knew full well that they would be used as drugs. He was in charge on researching into the effects of animal venoms and their reactions on humans… the venoms were distilled of course, except for that one incident; but that was the assistant’s fault. He made many advancements in chemical study, and was the only man brave enough to milk the venom of the most dangerous animals on the planet. Through his research Kirkmond came across an extract from the venom of what was perhaps the most common species of snakes. This extract was a part of the neurotoxin that normally killed people; but, when distilled and purified, it could be used as a potent mental stimulant.

Jump four years later, and Kirkmond was still working on his commonly dubbed Venom. It was at that point that he learned of the Arcadia Movement, and their goals. It was only through whispers, but it was enough for Kirkmond to know that this was the next step of human evolution. In the dead of night he found and approached the soon-to-be leader of the Arcadia Movement, Naoya Okudaira. The young man was silver tongued, and Kirkmond eagerly offered his Venom to the Movement. Aas it turned out, Venom became an incredibly powerful tool to the Movement, allowing enhanced use of their powers at the cost of several hours of sickness afterwards.

Jump cut to now, and we have Kirkmond as the lead Movement’s Research group and the only non-psionic of the Movement. And he is so very close to completing Venom, so very close indeed…

"So this is the power of a Signer. In the hands of a psionic, this could be quite useful. Oh, to think that such power could be wasted on someone so… simple. So human. Still, I like surprises. Show me what you can do."
Name: Naoya Okudaira
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Allegiance: None
Faction: Arcadia Movement (Leader)
smile-anime-guys-12082279-850-1002_zps8a
Personality: As the leader of the Arcadia Movement, Naoya considers psionics to be the next stage of human evolution, viewing those without psychic abilities to be as primitive as chimpanzees. Conversely, he views his fellow psionics as his own family, and has taken it upon himself to lead his "family" against his oppressors. His superiority complex has frightened other psionics, while his charismatic nature earned him his many followers. He believes himself to be a messiah chosen by the "Lord of the Sky", sent to deal judgement against the sinful Public Security Maintenance Bureau.
Biography: Naoya was born to a prominent senator in Neo Domino City. At the age of five, Naoya received his first deck of cards from his mother, who wished to not let her political career get in the way of being a loving mother to her son. However, a year later, while playing against a friend, his powers awakened. Even without a Duel Disk, the monsters in his cards came to life, killing the friend. Naoya was sent to a therapist to ease the pain, and his cards were taken from him to prevent further disasters. The therapy continued for years, although this came at a huge risk to his mother's ambitions, as people were fearful for a person of such high status to have a child with psychic powers. Nevertheless, Naoya's mother still love him, so she stood by him, even as her reputation fell apart around her.
Ashamed of the pain Naoya caused his mother, he ran away, fleeing into the Satellite. There too, he was shunned by people who were insulted that he chose to live among them. Eventually, Naoya founded psionics who were shunned even by the people of Satellite. Unlike the peasants, they were impressed by his prestigious upbringing, and by the age of eighteen, he had gathered several more psionics, stealing cards so as to make the decks more powerful. Now known as the "Arcadia Movement", Naoya returned to Satellite, seeking out his mother. Having mastered his psychic powers, he murdered his mother, claiming that he was freeing her from her misery, and he framed the murder on neighbors. Since then, he has set his sights on the Public Security Maintenance Bureau, as their hold on Neo Domino City created the controversies that led to Naoya becoming a pariah. However, none of the crimes he has committed have been known to the PSMB, so the Arcadia Movement is otherwise considered a radical organization that receives funding from otherwise harmless benefactors. Said benefactors are psionics who have kept their powers hidden, and sympathizers to the Arcadia Movement's cause who wish to receive their powers.
Deck Type: Psychic deck, which he uses to buff his life points while burning at his opponent's. Often employs strategies to draw out the duels.
"Seriously, what Scheißdreck. This will be the last game."
Name: Freud Garrison
Age: 49
Gender: Male
Allegiance: None
Faction: Foreigner (Arcadia Movement)
Gentleman.png
Personality: Freud is most, utterly fucking tired of children's card games. Just look at him. He's a well-educated man, living a slightly above-average life in a respectable place, and his position in life is now to be decided by Scheiß-karten? No thank you. He despises anything and anyone related to these games, and Pro Dueling is no more than a glorified staring contest. When things need to get done, bullets need to get flying. And he knows that. Even so, a businessman cannot be running his tongue or telling more than he's saying. So he plays his obfuscating stupidity pretty straight, and even learned his card games to the point of not needing to draw his gun all that often, in public.

Biography: Freud was born to a cold family. Parents too business-minded to worry about a long-term asset that was currently a liability, left his upbringing to their elder son. He did a good job at it, too. Having been treated the same way, Freud's brother made sure his sibling got a proper, attentive upbringing. And when he wasn't busy with his own education, or, as Freud later understood, doing his girlfriend in his room, teaching him and playing card games. Duel Monsters was a novelty back then- it marveled Freud, it was fun, interesting, and skilled. And so the kid grew into an adult, the game evolving with him.

But then one day shit hit the fan. There he was twenty years old, in the living room with his now thirty-six years old, married brother; playing. Goddamn. Card games. He stood up abruptly and argued. And in his mind a switch was flipped forever: Fuck this game, and fuck the world that embraces it. He never spoke to his brother again, and he regrets it every moment of his life- for a few years after this incident, his brother had moved into that, THAT place. Neo Domino. And sure enough, there was an explosion there. Big tragedy. Thousands dead. His brother among the ones missing.

His brother was killed by card games. And so he would kill those card games himself. He spent nearly fifteen years, growing colder and colder both inside and outside, learning. Training. Becoming a deceitful bastard, perfectly ready to weight the worth of a life against his own personal gain. He became a true machine. And as a cruel irony, he decided; he would use exactly those cards to wreak havoc on this damn city. Through his years of study, he came across a certain organization... one which used... "psionic" powers to trample their opposition. To spread their ideals, and... to wreak havoc as well.

And it was so that he set sail for Neo Domino. He would machinate his way to this cult, or whatever it was. And he would use it to finally make this game stop mattering. He would make it disappear, for good.

Deck Type: Karakuri. Harmless wooden toys. Or are they?
57478a91-289c-4906-b835-2d652f2e19a9_zps
Personality: Alice believes that the Arcadia Movement are true heroes and seeks for equality among mankind. She is a caring individual, and would serve to negotiate an alliance between the Signers and the Arcadia Movement. Her admiration of Naoya borders on a romantic attraction, even though she's a bit too young for him and there's a noticeable age gap between them. She keeps her feelings hidden, waiting until she's older before she can confess to him.
At the age of five, Alice found herself lost in Satellite, with only vague memories of her life before then. She knew her name, and she remembered her parents, but the last thing she could recall before ending up in Satellite was the hand of a giant, pitch-black monster reaching out for her. Alice looked around for her parents, but was discovered by other youths around her age. She was taken into an orphanage, where she learned more about society. Still, everything seemed off to her, but Alice could never figure out just what. Alice was told that an event known as the Zero Reverse must have killed her family, but no one seemed to understand what the monster had to do with it.

Alice stayed with the orphanage for a long time, but she was haunted by the knowledge that she never had the chance to say goodbye to her parents. Eventually, when the orphanage received some starter cards from the Duel Monsters trading card game, Alice played with a few of them, but soon it was revealed that she too had psychic powers, as she summoned a monster that scarred another child at the orphanage. The people in charge of the orphanage knew about the discrimination regarding psionics, but they kept Alice at the orphanage, provided that she could keep her powers in check.

However, one day, when Alice was twelve, a young man appeared to the orphanage, asking if there were any people there with psychic powers. The orphanage was fiercely defensive, forbidding the man from seeing any of the children, and especially forbidding Alice from revealing her powers. In spite of this, the man seemed satisfied with his visit, leaving without another word. After that, Alice though of the man, waiting for the day where she could meet with him. The orphanage knew this, and tried to make her stop such thoughts, but Alice would never listen. Alice tried many times to sneak out of the orphanage, but she would constantly be caught and punished. Resenting their harsh treatment of her, Alice grew convinced that she needed to use her psychic powers.

One night, when she woke up, all the people who were asleep seemed even more at ease than usual, so she carefully made her way to the door, which was suspiciously unlocked. It was raining, and standing outside was Naoya Okudaira, holding an umbrella in one hand, and a Duel Disk in the other. Monsters stood around him, making Alice remember the last day she spent with her parents. Naoya reassured her that if she followed him, she'd be able to control such monsters. Naoya said he arranged for someone to formally adopt Alice from the orphanage, and that they would arrive the following day. Alice smiled, happy that someone could understand her, and Alice returned to bed, waiting in anticipation for the next day.

As promised, she was adopted the following day, although she felt sad to say goodbye to the people she had grown up with for most of her life. After many tearful farewells, Alice left for Neo Domino City, where she was inducted into the Arcadia Movement. Naoya warned her that people would view her as example of the Arcadia Movement corrupting children, but Alice didn't mind. She found people who accepted her for who she was, and she was hopeful that other people would be accepting of psionics. As such, to counter the claims of people believing in the corruption of the Arcadia Movement, she chose Elemental HERO Absolute Zero as her ace monster, hoping that the image of her monster would prove that the Arcadia Movement fought for justice.
Deck Type: Alice uses an altered Gishki deck to overwhelm opponent by decimating her opponent's deck, and allowing her to swarm them by summoning additional monsters.
Ace/Favorite Cards: Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, Evigishki Mind Augus, and Gishki Ariel.

"Wotcher see wen yer 'ave a look at me, eh? A freak? A monster? ...hmm? "Neever", you say? Hmph. Yor eever a liar or a saint...."

Name: Samuel Hainz
Age: Late 20s-mid 30s
Gender: Male
Allegiance: None
Faction: Arcadia Movement
Halloween_Messenger_reg.jpg
Personality: Due to his more recent experiences, Samuel has grown to be quite withdrawn from the rest of the world, being rather timid and fearful, although this is more out of fear of what he may do to others as opposed to the other way around. However, if one were to get him to open up, they would find Samuel to be an affable individual, very approachable despite his appearance. He's been noted to have a severe case of bipolarity, with four main "personailties": withdrawn and timid, friendly (if a bit mischievous), psychotically murderous, and suicidal (with hints of depression). "Murderous" and "suicidal" often go hand-in-hand; if, for instance, he succeeds in killing someone in cold blood, he may be overcome with great remorse shortly after. It is due to these "personalities" that Samuel would rather distance himself from others, for fear of having his murderous side overcome him.

Biography: Samuel Hainz was once a normal human being... well, as normal as a human with psychic abilities can be. He lived a rather peaceful life with his wife Esther (also a psionic) and 8-year-old son Christopher, and was rather well-liked amongst the community, if only because he kept his family's psychic capabilities under wraps. When his son began showing early signs of telekinesis, Sam and Esther grew worried that their son would become a target of discrimination by those who fears psionics. In search of any possible way to help their son manage his developing abilities, Sam eventually came across a group called "The Seraph Act", who claimed to be experts in helping psionics with their various cases. Sam genuinely believed them.

This belief would cost him greatly: Samuel was held captive by The Seraph Act, in truth an Anti-Psionic group, who proceeded to experiment on Sam, turning him into a weapon for their cause (the goal being to show the public how monstrous psionics can be.) To this end, Samuel was recreated into a "wolf-man". Brainwashed into being their tool, Sam was let loose in a few minor "demonstrations", made to kill indiscriminately, regardless of his victims' views or background. With these few demonstrations being deemed a "success", The Seraph Act began to expand their efforts, attempting to create more "soldiers" for their cause.

Samuel would have lived the rest of his existence as a tool for the Group... until the one day that he saw some of the Seraph members carting a handful of failed "projects" to be disposed of, amongst these numbers was Esther. The one last spark of his humanity erupted in a fury, breaking free of his restrains and... well, let us just say that "The Seraph Act" was no more after that day.

After giving his wife a decent burial, Samuel soon went into hiding, isolating himself from the rest of the world, away from the society that could hurt him, and that he may bring harm to. Despite freeing himself from his fate as a weapon, he still felt caged, imprisoned in a body that was no longer his own. That was, until the day that he crossed paths with Naoya Okudaira....

Deck Type: "Halloween" Deck (read: NOT "Ghostricks"). Their gimmick is to force your opponent to draw, whilst enforcing penalties on the opponent for having a certain number of cards in the hand. Can also be used to Deck Out the opponent, if need be.
Ace/Favorite Cards: "Samhain, the Herald of Halloween"

Other notes:
Samuel Hainz speaks with a "fused" accent of Irish and cockney British.

"Samhain", a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of Winter/the "darker half" of the year, is often celebrated around the same time as Halloween. The word itself is pronounced like "sow-un", for those who wished for a pronunciation guide. "Sam Hainz", on the other hand, is pronounced as it normally would be (the "ai" is pronounced like "eye")

He possesses not only the ability to materialize his monsters into solid beings, but also telepathy and telekinesis.
"Luisa, I made a promise to your mother.... I will always do what I can to keep you safe."

Name: William Hartford (... is actually the mortal form of "Elemental HERO Wildheart")
Age: Physically in his mid 30s
Gender: Male
Allegiance: None
Faction: PSMB
Appearance: William stands at an impressive height of 7-feet-5-inches, with a thick, heavily-muscled frame possessing bronze skin. His black/dark brown hair reaches down to his mid-back and is tied back into a ponytail. He has tribal-style tattoos covering the length of his right arm and right pectoral. He has a four-inch scar from a through-and-through puncture wound, visible on the center of his chest and his back. Clothing-wise, William prefers simple clothing that doesn't interfere with whatever task he is performing; by default, he wears simple tank tops and t-shirts, jeans or sweatpants, and work boots. He may also wear Native American or Samoan accessories.

Personality: William possesses a great sense of justice, willing to protect any in need even at the cost of severe injury (and especially while injured). Intelligent despite his large frame, and gentle/careful when he needs to be. Humorous or otherwise random occurrences tend to catch him off-guard, but is used to seeing the occasional clumsiness of others, having dealt with his ditzy adopted daughter, Luisa, on a daily basis.

Biography: When William arrived at Neo Domino City roughly 10 years ago, he was almost immediately involved in the extraction and rescue of a mother and her 8-year-old daughter from the wreckage of a car crash. The mother died at the hospital, but in her final moments she requested that William adopt her daughter Luisa, even going so far as to call him Luisa's guardian angel....

William adapted rather well to the parenting life, taking care of Luisa while performing various odd jobs to support them, such as working as a substitute gym teacher, or, more recently, as the assistant and secretary to Miss Hettie Tendo, as well as being a part-time social worker.

Deck Type: Wildheart Deck (focuses on "Elemental HERO Wildheart" and his various Fusions. It also utilizes an "advanced form" known as "Elemental HERO Wildheart Ω"). His adopted daughter, Luisa, also uses this same Deck.
Ace/Favorite Cards: Elemental HERO Wildheart Ω
Name: Sgt. Miranda Katsuya, Public Security Maintenance Bureau, 9th Division
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Allegiance: None
Faction: PSMB/Yliaster
Appearance: Miranda is a honey-blonde woman with a slight tan complexion and hazel eyes, as well as a face that, with a bit of touching up on her scars, might be considered beautiful. Normally, she wears her Public Security Maintenance Bureau officer's uniform, consisting of a blue jacket as opposed to the standard grey, a white and blue helmet, a red scarf instead of the usual yellow scarf, and a set of dark-grey boots. Otherwise, she has on a brown trenchcoat, a white button-up shirt, and a grey miniskirt.
Personality: Miranda is a no-nonsense woman who is incredibly good at her job. She is quite down-to-earth, and doesn't believe much of this nonsense of Signers and prophecies and secret conspiracies. She simply wishes to get her job done and do it to 110% of her ability, while attempting to move on from her mother's murder. Ever since her mother's death, Miranda possesses an intense hatred for anyone from Satellite, and loathes doing duty patrolling the island. However, this sometimes conflicts and overrides her strong sense of justice and right and wrong.
Biography: One of the youngest women to ever make Sergeant in the Public Security Maintenance Bureau, Miranda Katsuya is a tough, smart, first-class cop known for being a closer and a tough nut to crack. Even though she is the granddaughter of famous duelists Jonouchi Katsuya and Mai Kujaku-Katsuya, Miranda and her mother never let their status as the descendants of famous duelists go to their heads. Unlike her brothers, Hisako Katsuya did not follow the path of her grandfather that her brothers did, and wisely schooled herself the sciences, becoming a good friend of Hettie Tendo, both before and after Zero Reverse. However, ten years ago, Hisako was mysteriously murdered while in Satellite, leading to Miranda joining up with the PSMB after graduating from Harvard.
Miranda has gained a reputation as an officer who makes sure the rules are followed, though she might not play by the book to get there. Others in the PSMB see this a reflection of her ongoing quest for justice. Motivated to join the force after her mother’s murder was never solved, Miranda’s firsthand experience with tragedy fuels her unceasing drive to bring closure and justice to the streets of Neo Domino and Satellite. Unfortunately for her, this recent activity with the Dark Signers, especially the Solasiro affair, have driven her to be a bit more extreme than usual.
“On the beat, or off it: The only person that matters is yourself and the one in uniform who rides alongside you. That is what the Public Security Maintenance Bureau is all about: Fighting crime with your allies to preserve the sanctity of Neo Domino City. And, should anyone feel like disrupting MY sanctity, well, I hope they like the taste of tires as I grind their faces into the asphalt.”

Name: Angelica Akihiro

Age: 25

Gender: F

Allegiance: None

Faction: PSMB

Appearance: Ange has golden yellow shoulder length hair that hasn’t seen a brush for over five years, though, when you’re racing at high speeds, what use is there in straightening hair? The only thing keeping down her fringe and the crown of her hair is a green hat with a golden V that extends from the brim and circles around the side of the cap. Her fierce violet eyes remain uncovered unless she’s driving, where she wear’s a pair of hi-tech goggles that grant her the ability to read and know the effect of her opponent’s cards without a requisite explanation.

Her outfit effectively consists of the jumpsuits other patrollers wear, except that hers was stylized with metal shoulder pads and a golden circle that was drawn onto the back. Also unlike the other road monkies she wears fingerless black riding gloves instead of the clunky white ones. Her shoes are effectively the same, except a bit thinner around the ankles.

When in casual, which is usually only at home, she wears a loose fitting white shirt and black short shorts. To date, no one has EVER seen her wear that.

Personality: Angelica is a gruff and bold faced woman, expressing general disdain for how complacent the higher ups are in regards to how justice and the general safety of Neo Domino is being maintained. Not exactly being overly zealous or plain justice crazy, she just takes to heart the job she sets out to do with every bit of determination she can muster.

But that is, provided, only when she’s off the beat. Off the beat, Ange tends to soften a bit when in civics, though that moment is rare and far between. During downtime she tends to frequent somewhat illicit bars for a quiet drink and to scare the irresolute piss out of the other clientele.

Biography: Growing up in the slums of Neo Domino City, Angelica grew up in areas where the Public Security Maintenance Bureau frequented often. And ever since she was a little girl, Angelica loved playing cops and robbers. And no matter what, she was ALWAYS the cop, just like those brave Highway Patrollers who rode by on those awesome duel cycles. She knew in her heart of hearts that that was her destiny; to join those brave men in slightly casual uniform.

Her life was pretty much built around becoming a member of the PSMB pretty much. Which is good to know precisely what it is you want to be at such a young age. Problem is, for a good deal of Highway Patrol stuff, you needed to be able to duel. And given that she was stuck in the slums that came into being during the Zero Reverse; getting a deck decent enough to beat renegades would be an issue. Still not letting that stop her, and on the advice of her brother Deva, Angelica frequented many different pawn shops and antique shops for cards she could get for cheap. Sadly, most of the cards were those considered too weak to be even used now. Really, what use was there in Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress when people were Synchro Summoning out the yin-yang?

She almost gave up hope until she was fourteen, where, she found an antique store she had never seen before. It was run by a very pleasant old fat man named Yoshimuga, and the man took a strictly platonic liking to the girl. Whether it was an act of pity, or by sheer kindness of the human heart, he gave her a deck made of an exceedingly rare archtype, the Sephirot. Overjoyed at this, he presented her with an unusual gift, the Smile Dragon Synchro monster. It was a monster with no effect, but simply high defence. Questioning it, Yoshimuga merely remarked how every façade hides something great, and cryptically remarked about how happiness is the greatest strength. This only served to confuse the poor girl even more. As an added bonus, Yoshimuga aided Angelica in learning how to duel.

Sadly, after finishing her training, Angelica never saw the old man again. His age taking hold, he closed up store and moved off to some faraway land to be with his family, but despite being gone, he had left a very lasting impression in her, a Smile. With a functional deck in hand, Angelica focused on her studies much more determinedly than ever. She was never much of a brain, but it still kept enough knowledge inside it to pass each and every time.

Eventually, she passed high school and immediately joined the highway patrol training course when she was eighteen. Almost like magic, she flew around the course on the training duel cycle like a pro, easily outracing the other trainees. With her own heart and dedication, she doggedly pursued the goal she had set out for over a decade. She was highway patrol, and gods damn it if she didn’t love it.

Deck Type: Sephirot - A deck of monsters based around the Kabalahn Tree of Life. They favour unity and strong ties that feed the spirit in order to bring victory through the light of creation.

Ace/Favorite Cards: Sephirot of Knowledge - Da’at the Divine, Sephirot of Creation - Ein Sof the Endless, Smile Dragon, Unknown Dragon card

Dante is a fiery spirited young man, always prepared to help those in need (regardless of the Neo Domino social standings they find themselves in). He understands the Director's view point on trying to keep things in a peaceful manner, however, it doesn't mean he agrees with her methods of treating the citizens, namely the ones who reside within the Satellite. Because of that, Dante can tend to go out of his way to try and disobey orders to try and help the Satellite residents the best he can. In the PSMB, he is respected, as he rose form the Satellite to his current position, a feat that not many can truly do. However, with Dante still being born in the Satellite, he's not quite understanding on the luxuries that those in Neo Domino have at their disposal.

Dante's family had moved to the Satellite long ago, before the Momentum incident occurred. The Arc's only child: Dante was born and raised in the Satellite...and then...as the years slowly passed for young Dante, disaster struck. The Momentum incident occurred, and with the chaos it caused...Dante lost his family at age ten.

The rest of his life he spent in the Satellite, trying to survive the best he could: the best being winning duels that he could against others. With most duels, he was labeled "The Blazing Prodigy" as he was able to work the Flame Stars deck that he kept with him, as a memento of his now deceased father (who happened to be an Ex-Pro Duelist). Then, a ray of hope appeared for Dante...allowing him to have his deepest wish granted: to leave the Satellite to pursue something better for his life. This opportunity came through for him, when he met someone from Neo Domino: a member of the PSMB. Dante challenged the PSMB member to a duel with high stakes; if he won...that the Bureau member would take him to Neo Domino to be apart of the PSMB...and if he lost...he'd relinquish his Flame Stars and give up dueling. With the Bureau member accepting the challenge, the duel was on.

Dante held his own against the PSMB duelist, beating him without even breaking a sweat. With the duel over, the stakes being met as Dante became a member of the PSMB, after meeting the Director, Hettie Tendo. Since his entrance into the PSMB, Dante has tried his hardest to find a way to help those in the Satellite, like he promised he would.

"All lives have value: Satellite, Psionic... even the very Monsters that fight for us on a daily basis. The trick is getting to know them."

Name: Gabriel Guerra
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Allegiance: None
Faction: Pro Duelist
WarGarvasConcept_zps185c9f0e.png
Personality: Gabriel is usually more reserved outside of dueling and wrestling, usually calm and quiet, keeping to himself (mostly to keep a low profile when out in public), but is by no means a "wall flower". When interacting with people in the general public, he may seem a bit distant at first, but given time as he warms up to you, he can be one of the most talkative people you could meet. Of course, he is highly protective of his mask and face, refusing to allow anyone to see him mask-less outside of close friends and family. While wrestling (he's a face, by the way), he is more charismatic and jovial. While dueling, he's also high-spirited, but tactical as well, and not as over-the-top as his personality in the ring. Also cares a lot about children. Gabriel is devoted to family and friends, and will stick his neck out for them more often than not. He has little tolerance for bigotry and other forms of discrimination.

Biography: For those who may have known of Gabriel Guerra in another dimension, it may be fair to warn those individuals: This is NOT the Gabriel Guerra they've met before. Not to say that this Gabriel is any different from any other Gabriel Guerra one has met in another dimension; their personalities are rather consistent... but we digress.

Orphaned as a result of the Zero Reverse, Gabriel spent the majority of his teenage years as part of a street gang in the Satellite, doing what he could just to survive to the next day. One day, during a Speed Duel between his group and a unit from Sector Secur--er, Public Security Maintenance Bureau, the then-14-year-old Gabriel was used as a scapegoat, betrayed by his fellow "brothers" and taking a tumble, receiving a scarring injury to the right side of his face Gabriel was taken into custody, whereas the rest of the gang made a run for it in the confusion.

Gabriel was soon afterward taken to a hospital in Neo Domino City to have his wounds treated, and was also spared from being branded with a Criminal Mark, perhaps because the injury to his face was punishment enough. It was during his time at the hospital that Gabriel met another teenager, Russell Oxford, who was at the hospital visiting a relative. The two boys quickly bonded, with Russell coming over to visit on his own long after his relative was released from the hospital. On the last day of Gabriel's stay at the hospital, Russell gave him his contact information, hoping that the two could meet up again in the future. Gabriel was sent to live the rest of his teenage years in foster care.

In the years that followed, Gabriel would seek to make one of his childhood dreams come true: becoming a luchador. At the age of 26, Gabriel would don his soon-to-be iconic mask, going by the name "Aslan"; he auditioned for a spot on DWF (Duelist Wrestling Federation) and, after a grueling year of training, was accepted, and quickly became one of their top competitors, even catching the eye of the Pro Dueling League. It was also here that Gabriel would once more cross paths with Russell Oxford, starting their friendship anew.

Deck Type: "Masked Bravadors" (a lucha libre-themed Deck that also shares some "Mask" support. Their gimmick is similar to Vylons and Inzektors in that the individual members of the Archetype can be equipped to other monsters, passing on special effects in the process).
Ace/Favorite Cards: "Masked Bravador - Leon", "Masked Bravador - Rubedo Leo"

Reserve accepted.

Also, I am looking for a co-host, though I don't want to take away from your administrative duties.

I don't think it would really affect my mod stuff, but between my job, school starting up again, and balancing my free time as it is, I probably shouldn't take on co-hosting.

Point taken. Still, if you really can sign on to the RP as a player and stay onboard, that would be wonderful.

Well why not give not a shot? I want to get to the end of one of these. I'm in and I'm torn between bringing back my wise cracking old man from Return of the Oricalcols and using the True Sirs. Or actually being a good guy in a yugioh RP and going with my hybrid Sanctuary Agents.

Suggestions? Also this means I reserve.

I had suggested the Arcadia Movement be a part of this, so I think it's only fair that I get to play the leader.

Ace/Favorite Cards: Ultimate Axon Kicker, Overmind Archfiend, and Hyper Psychic Blaster.
Oooooooooooooohh~~[/RubyRhod]  Seriously, Arcadia Movement?!  Awesome, I can possibly reuse Samuel Hainz if I do a bit of tweaking.

In fact, if there isn't a really strict character limit, I'd like to use other characters that I've used in past RPs (retrofitted for this one, of course.  Not including Alexander, obvs.)

Hmm... I haven't done one of these in a very long time... I suppose I'll reserve a signer character, and I guess I'll nab one of the Ancient Fairies. Like evilfusion, I'll decide when I make the app. Just whatever fits me better.

Ace/Favorite Cards: Ultimate Axon Kicker, Overmind Archfiend, and Hyper Psychic Blaster.
Our first accepted guy...once he finishes a crucial part of his app!

Actually, reserve me a Dark Signer as well, and give him a DARK Banishing deck and Rorccon. I'll work on the Signer first, though; I wanna see more Signers before I work on the Dark Signer.

Untitled03_zps9b14a04f.png

Since I wasn't there for Return of the Orichalcos (Which sounds like a big starting point for stuff that people like you, TheFinalFan, and Merciful did), would there be a logical reason for your character to show up? However, I love the villains I've seen you play as, so it's your call.

Done, aaaaand done.

Point taken, especially since I have not set the precedent by having any time-traveling characters of mine come here. Ohhh, no. Hettie and Talia are original for this RP.

And the app looks good so far, King.
