Thomas★Zero
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects. ● You can destroy Spell/Trap Cards on the field, up to the number of "HERO" monsters you control, except this card. ● Add 1 "HERO" monster from your Deck to your hand. I'll miss this card now that its banned and will hope that konami will make new E-HERO's in the near future... so disc about this card being banned. heraldry_lord
You have to admit that Stratos was holding a number of HERO support cards back (namely the 3 they unlimited). In the long term, this is probably for the best.

heraldry_lord
As a fan of Destiny HEROs, the Stratos ban does hurt a bit, but Destiny HEROs should get their own search card.

They did for old stuff like Amazon (DM era) , Dark world (GX era), Six Sams (GX era), Harpies (DM era), Blue Eyes (DM era) and possible with the new structure deck Cyber Dragons (GX era)... so its still possible that Konami may brew something up new for E-HERO's maybe... heraldry_lord
Still by far the biggest bullshit change with the TCG list. They banned 1 card, and unlimited 3 in exchange. From a strictly numerical standpoint, that's a reasonable change.

The unfairness also only came from AHL, which makes not just hitting AHL instead pointless, since they just killed Heroes entirely.Malicious doesn't need Stratos to be absolutely insane. .-. Well I've had my salt nearby this week (for example with the supposed XY starter evos). It could be a new LIGHT Thunder archetype or something. Sora1499
Konami has made WAY too many E-Heroes as it is. Their time in the spotlight is over. Deal with it. As for Stratos, I can see why he'd be banned (without Heavy we'd go back to a set 5-pass format if heroes were around), but I don't mind his existence at 1. I do like Hero Beat, but it's supported by a broken card, and if that card is dislodged, the whole structure comes crumbling down.
The Hounds Of Anubis
Yup, and 1800 beater that searches for a 1900 beater is broken. An 1800 beater that when you have no other monsters in hand can make a 2200 double attacker is broken. It's not like Konami just gave Hieratics back their Convocation. It's not like they just brought Mali back to 3. It's not like the best decks will still do far more powerful plays.Nope, Stratos is clearly broken. Wildflame
Not the worst hit on the list but definitely no the best one either. R.I.P. HEROs, you were a good deck :(

For once I can actually make this argument to you: Just because things on the list that are broken weren't hit doesn't mean stratos isn't. Stratos is broken for doing to much on one card. It can beat, it searches off of being Normal'd and Special summoned. It was capable of searching itself if it wished to. On top of having an extra effect to destroy backrow. It's a very piss poor piece of design on card for simply doing to much, and whilst yes, the hit destroys Hero's, and yes they did nothing to deserve it. It's a hit that should have happened eventually. The fact they did hit badly designed irrelivant stuff suggests they are eventually going to start hitting by design. Or at least more conscious of design. Which is great.
The Hounds Of Anubis
It's still not a justification. If you set the bar for your power level at a certain points (Clearly, a higher power level than Hieratics and Mermails) then you should be consistent in that bar, and not lower it for one card that holds a fan favourite archetype together. It's not about justifying it when it's a hit that should occur if you gave a toss about the design of the cards in the game. Well the game has been about lowering the power level lately. If you look at the lastest sets, it's almost like all the stuff in it is well designed, and basically weak. With the possible exception of Yamato. And if they are finally hitting stuff by design, the truth of it is there's so much degenerate shit in the game that they couldn't reasonably hit it in one banlist. The fact that Stratos took the bullet in this one is just something that happened. The next banlist in December or November I think it is, may follow on this track, or if there is enough uproar from people may just turn bac to how it did it. As far as I'm concerned I actually like the direction the list was going. Not how they executed it by slaughtering backrow, but still. It's a more design focused list, which is a great thing for the game.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Konami has a vendetta against Chris lul. HERO Beat became increasingly better and more fun to play with all of the new Xyz Warrior cards, but ultimately, it's heavy defensive style (setting cards that can easily be countered later, due to so much backrow) and linear plays (SEARCH THE FUCK OUT OF YOUR DECK) made it okay at best. HEROs can still be played, but they just won't have the capabilities and searching power as they did back in the day.

The Hounds Of Anubis
The thing people seem to be missing is that Heroes seem to fit this ideology that Konami want to reach perfectly. They've never been overpowered in any way, and their strongest plays are only as good as the effect they can actually have on the metagame around them.Apparently a heavily reactive deck with flexible proactive plays is too good, but decks that are purely proactive is just fine.
