I guess i can post the bands I listen to a lot since I don't have a top favorite.

Jonathan Coulton

Aurelio Voltaire/Voltaire

They Might Be Giants

"Weird Al" Yankovic

Barenaked Ladies

Queen

The Beatles

Vitamin String Quartet

That's good. I do listen to some songs by Johnny Cash, R.E.M, Imangine Dragons. But I don't/haven't listen/listened to their other songs.

Screamo/Skramz/Post-Hardcore:

I Hate Myself

Orchid

pg.99

Dance Gavin Dance

Hot Cross

La Dispute

Pianos Become The Teeth

I wouldn't put post hardcore and skramz on the same boat, that's like saying metalcore and post metal are identical because both are a subgenre of metal. Plus, there's only 2 post hardcore band there.

On topic...probably Deftones, Glassjaw, Dance Gavin Dance, The Black Keys, Radiohead, Massive Attack, Converge, Raien, Pity Sex, Sparta, Bjork and maybe... Jowls

No offence but pop rock sucks

No offence but the thread is titled Favorite Bands and you specifically asked for our favorite type of music...

So whats ur favorite type of music and bands and your favorite songs? my favorite music is rock and my favorite band is Peroxwhy?gen. my favorite song is Similar Creatures by Peroxwhy?gen.

^See. Don't go round saying what genre sucks when you asked the member of this forum what their favorite genre are/is.

I agree, but I was just trying to shorten down the list as much as I could, since it was already quite large

And as for the lack of Post-Hardcore I had posted the list without realizing that I didn't add many Post-Hardcore bands.

No offence but pop rock sucks

OPNIONS EVERYWHERE

Hurry Up, We're Dreaming is clearly M83's best album.

I'm on the fence with Hurry Up, We're Dreaming

I listen to pretty much everything nowadays: Rock, Alternative, House, J-Pop, etc.

I'd say my top favorite bands indicate I have more of a preference to Rock and Alternative.

Linkin Park

Skillet

Three Days Grace

Thousand Foot Krutch

Breaking Benjamin

Maroon 5

And I like a bunch of artists ranging from Eminem to Ke$ha.

And most of these people are on my list (couldn't be bothered to list them myself) and the ones not on the list I definitely don't hate. Awesome, awesome people.
