CosmicCore
Alright-y! Time to start getting active on these forums! And what better way to start than by a) talking about something I love, and b ) trying to revive a section that seems pretty...unpopular? IDK. Anywho, as the title suggests, what's the main reason that got you into your favorite bands/solo artists, or just any band/solo artist you happen to like and listen to more-or-less frequently? Did you like the whole sound? Just the voice? Are they inspirational with their songs or just as people? Etc... I guess I'll start this: one of my favorite bands is Scary Kids Scaring Kids (I think they're my 3rd favorite...I can't keep track these days), and I fell in love with the first song I heard by them, Watch Me Bleed. I admired the lyrics, which in my lyrical interpretation talked about loneliness and the world being against you (yay, serious stuff! XD). So the first thing I fell for was the meaning. As I listened to more of their songs, I realized how amazingly ear-gasmic the lead singer's raw-sounding, higher-pitched voice was, and in certain songs the guitar intros were even moreso, like in Holding On. So yeah, that's one of my stories. Care to share?
Cin
Cinder, I like because of Soul Creation, I'd heard it in a video game (Downhill Domination) and fell in love with it. SoiL, I like because of Halo. It was the 2nd rock song I'd gotten into, I remember thinking it was a little too heavy for me at the time (I listened to a lot of pop at the time) and my friend linked me to a video with the song and I came round to it. Plus Ryan McCombs' facebook posts are really funny. Thousand Foot Krutch/Three Days Grace, came from my days moderating AMV contests for another forum I really enjoyed 'Phenomenon' and 'I Hate Everything About You', first for its energy and 2nd I liked the theme. Lord Metallium
Il be honest and to the point, today there no real artist except those who put passion into it, now even someone out of nowhere can become famous just by a machine called auto tune, so if any artist that deserve respect are those who are trying hard with so many sacrifices.
