Number 106: Giant Hand
[Rank 4/EARTH/Rock/Xyz/Effect/ATK 2000/DEF 2000]

2 Level 4 monsters
During either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls; while this card is face-up on the field, that target's effects are negated, and it cannot change its battle position.

If you wanted him, you could try winning a YCS to get him.  This is an issue, not because he's an awesomesauce Rank 4, but because he's a Number, so Numbers collectors in the TCG will have a hard time getting him as it stands.  That's a great-looking mat though.

This is a good idea, or a step in the right direction.

IMO the prize cards should be very very good cards.

I can see the logic behind this, but I don't think anyone wants to have prize cards as borked as Crush Card Virus or Cyberstein anymore.

Which thankfully Konami hasn't done.

I agree that prize cards should be good. However...

It's a Number. This means even people who just want it for Number collections, and don't play competitively, will either have to shell out way too much money online, or wait an unknown amount of time for the reprint.

It also makes it uncertain when C106 will be released. While C106 is one of the only Rank-Up Number Cs that don't require its previous form for its effect, releasing them together would have been an expected move. Releasing 106 exclusively as a prize card until unknown dates is a strange thing to do.

Numbers by their very nature are valued as collection materials, no matter how good or bad the actual card is. I just see it as a strange move to release it as a prize card. If they print it again to the general public within a reasonable amount of time, releasing it as a prize card just seems weird now.

Thankfully, while I am collecting the Numbers, I don't consider the Over-hundreds vital to the collection (although I still get them since they're cheap), so I can patiently wait for 106's reprint.

I agree it is a strange move, although the 2011/2012 YCS prize card (Blood Mefist) still hasn't been released to the general public yet, whereas the Darklords were released to the public 3 months after the last YCS that they were in the cycle. So based on that info when this card gets a reprint will definately be up in the air, although I'd rather it be sooner rather than later.

Number hunting is now officially serious business.

And I expected some masturbation jokes.

The card is cool, and prizeworthy, without offering a big advantage to those lucky ones having it.

Imagine C106 being next year's YCS prize. Oh, the butthurt.

NUMBER HUNTING WAS ALWAYS SERIOUS

And f*ck Konami if they make another Number into a prize card.
