After that, they would do whatever they wanted all day. But they didn’t get that chance. “Children, listen up! We have a guest duelist coming to Duel Academy this afternoon! Jaden Yuki! He will be dueling our school’s best, Zeon Orchalast!” Crowler told everyone in the kitchen. Everyone continued to eat after Crowler stopped talking. “Did you here Neo? Jaden Yuki is coming! I can’t believe it! He is going to duel my older brother’s best friend. This is so exciting!” Eric shouted. After breakfast was over, Neo and Eric got their stuff and headed for the Duel Arena. Neo was a big fan, but wasn’t as crazy as Eric. “Alright, we are 20 minutes early, want to duel for fun?” Neo asked. “Sure, I’d be glad!” (Neo: 4000)(Eric: 4000) “First, I draw! I’ll use Polymerization to fuse AK-Hunter + AK-Flamer to fusion summon AK-Flame Hunter!” (2000/1800) “Then I’ll throw a face-down and end my turn.” “I draw! First, I’ll use Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face-down.” The destroyed card was Legendary Fusion Trap. “Now, I’ll summon 7 Colored Fish in attack mode! Then I’ll activate Creature Swap! I have your monster, and you have mine! Now, attack! And when 7 Colored Fish is destroyed, you lose 500 life points due to AK-Flame Hunter’s effect! Then, I’ll end my turn.” (Neo: 3300)(Eric: 4000) “I draw! First, I’ll activate AK-Healer’s effect. If I send this card from my hand to the graveyard, I can increase my life points by 1000!” (Neo: 4300)(Eric: 4000) “I’ll put one card in face-down defense position and one card face-down and I’ll end.” “Well, this is just too easy! Well, since I have no monsters I can summon in my hand, I guess I’ll attack!” “Not so fast! Sakuretsu Armor! Seems like you just got yourself destroyed!” Neo said. “Grr, I’ll end my turn by putting one card face-down” Eric grunted. “Now, I flip AK-Samura face-up!” “Haha, I got you now! Torrential Tribute to destroy all monsters on the field!” Eric said. “Exactly what I wanted! I use Miracle Archknight! If I have the right fusion material monsters in my graveyard and are listed on a fusion material monster in my fusion deck, I can remove those fusion material monsters from play to special summon that fusion monster to my side of the field! Come on out, AK-Master!” (3000/3000) “Now, direct attack!” (Neo: 4300)(Eric: 1000) “I’ll end my turn by putting one card face-down.” “Now, I draw! First, I put one card face-down defense position and one card face-down. That’ll be it.” “I have you finished now! Nobleman of Crossout!” “Haha, I use Spell Shield Type-8 to negate that effect!” Eric said. “Now, attack AK-Master!” Eric’s Mother Grizzly flipped and was destroyed. “Now, her effect gets activated!” Eric exclaimed. “Not so fast. My face-down card, Divine Wrath negates the effect! Looks like you are screwed. I’ll end my turn.” “I draw! Darnit, I have nothing. I’ll put one card in face-down defense position and end.” “I draw! I summon AK-Samurai. And attack Samurai! His effect is that if he battles a defense position monster, destroy the card without damage calculation. Seems like you are defenseless. AK-Master, direct attack!” (Neo: 4300)(Eric: 0) “Wow, nice duel man! I just got unlucky. Hey look, it is Zeon and Jaden, I can’t wait for this! I heard that Jaden isn’t using Neo-Spacians, but reverting back to his Elemental Heroes for memories. This will be a great duel!” Eric said. The bell rang loudly. All the kids ran into the arena. “Hey guys, it is so nice to see old Crowler here today” Jaden said. Crowler’s face became red with anger, but he cooled off. “Today, Zeon and Jaden will be dueling. You guys are really excited, as I can see. The duel will begin in exactly 5 minutes” Crowler told all the students. “So, you are Zeon, number one on the academy?” Jaden asked. Zeon knew he had almost no chance of winning, while Jaden would be alright, win or lose. “Draw!” Zeon looked at the card he had just drawn. “Draining Shield” he thought. He looked at the other cards in his hand. “Kaibaman, Blue Eyes White Dragon, The Sanctuary in the Sky, The Agent of Judgment-Saturn, Call of the Haunted” he thought again. “I’ve made my decision! First, I’ll summon Kaibaman and then tribute him to special summon the Blue Eyes in my hand! Then I’ll throw two cards face-down and end!” Zeon said, feeling confident. (3000/2500) “Hmm, I Blue Eyes! Cool! First, I’ll draw!” Jaden said. He thought quickly. “I’ll use Polymerization to fuse the 4 cards in my hand! Clayman, Burstinitrix, Avian, and Bubbleman! Elemental Hero Electrum! And now I summon another Avian to my side of the field, increasing Electrum’s attack by 300 to 3200!” (3200/2600) “Now Electrum, attack Blue Eyes!” “Not so fast, Draining Shield!” Zeon said, stopping the attack and increasing his life points. (Zeon: 7200)(Jaden: 4000) “I’ll end my turn.” Jaden could not do anything, he had run out of cards in his hand. His Avian was wide open to an attack by Blue Eyes! “First, I’ll draw! Then, I’ll activate The Sanctuary in the Sky! I sacrifice Blue Eyes to summon The Agent of Judgment – Saturn, to my side of the field. Then, I activate Call of the Haunted to special summon Blue Eyes back to my side of the field! Are you afraid?” Zeon asked. “No, I’m not! You really are a great duelist! I can’t believe this duel has to end so fast!” Jaden said. “Now, I activate The Agent of Judgment – Saturn’s effect! I tribute him to decrease your life points by 3200!” (Zeon: 7200)(Jaden: 800) “Now, since I can’t attack, I’ll end my turn.” “I draw! Oh, this will be mighty powerful! I activate Miracle Fusion! Avian and Bursinitrix, come on out and fuse to create Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!” (2100/1200) “This duel is close to over. Electrum, attack Blue Eyes!” Jaden said.”Then, Flame Wingman, direct attack!” (Zeon: 4900)(Jaden: 800) “Hehe, first, I’ll draw! Then, I’ll put one monster in face-down defense position and set one card face-down. Just because I’m out of cards doesn’t mean anything! Your turn!” “Alright, I draw! Well, I activate Skyscrapers! Then, Flame Wingman, attack!” Jaden commanded. Zeon’s Morphing Jar flipped up. Both players drew 5 cards since they had no hand. “Now, Flame Wingman’s effect activates! You lose 700 life points!” (Zeon: 4200)(Jaden: 800) “Now, Electrum, direct attack!” (Zeon: 1000)(Jaden: 800) “Then, I’ll throw down 2 face-down cards and end my turn!” “Grr, I was almost finished. First, I’ll play Royal Decree! Negates all your trap cards! Then, I’ll activate Monster Reborn to special summon Blue Eyes White Dragon from my graveyard. And since I have 2 other Blue Eyes in my hand, and a Polymerization, you’re finished for! Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!” (4500/3800) “Hahaha, looks like I will defeat the almighty Jaden after all!” Zeon said with great pride in his voice. “I don’t think so! First, I’ll Quick-Play Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying your Royal Decree!” Jaden said. Mystical Space Typhoon was one of Jaden’s face-down cards, but what was the other? “That won’t matter! Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, attack Electrum!” Zeon said. Jaden’s face-up card had flipped up. “Negate Attack!” (Zeon: 1000)(Jaden: 800) “Darn you, surviving one last turn! I’ll end my turn!” “I’ll draw!” Jaden said. He took the card from the top of his deck. “Bingo. First, I’ll use Hammer Shot, destroying Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!” “My…my Blue Eyes Ultimate, how could he be defeated so, easily? Damn you!” Zeon could not be more furious. He knew it was his end, and that he had lost the duel. “Now, Flame Wingman, end this duel!” The fire generated in the monster’s dragon-like hand. The beam crashed into Zeon, depleting his life points to zero. (Zeon: 0)(Jaden: 800) “And that’s game! Zeon, you were winning at first, but you were destroyed by Jaden, the greatest duelist ever to come to Duel Academy!” Crowler shouted. Crowler began to cough. He continued, with coughs here and there. “We give this *cough* award to *cough* Jaden *cough* Yu-“ Crowler fell to the ground, his eyes opened, he could not speak a word. “Ambulance! Ambulance! It’s Crowler! He’s, he’s dying!” Jaden took his cell phone out and immediately called the Hospital in Duel Academy. “What’s going on?” Neo asked Eric. Eric shrugged, but he knew something bad was imminent. A few hours had passed since the accident, Crowler was in the hospital and Jaden and Syrus, who had also come back after he heard the grave noise, were accompanying him. “Jaden, do you think he’ll be alright? I’m worried” Syrus said. “He’ll be alright. Crowler can fight of anything” Jaden replied. There was a knock on the door, and the doctor stepped in. “Jaden, Syrus. It doesn’t look like Crowler will make it through this ordeal. We took some tests, MRI’s, but we couldn’t find the reason for this. He, is gone. He won’t live through. Today, at 11:23 PM, is his approximate death time.” “How do you know all of this? How is it possible to calculate someone’s time of death?” Jaden questioned. The doctor stood silent, his eyes widened, his hand became shrouded in darkness. “So, is this how you want it? I’ll kill every single one of you. But I’ll leave you for the last” the evil man said. Crowler’s heart rate had stopped, a long beep. The man grabbed Syrus by the neck and disappeared into thin air. “Syrus! Crowler!” But Jaden could not do anything. “Doctor, we need a doctor! Crowler, he’s dead!” The nurses and the doctor rushed in. “What happened here? He was supposed to be alright. Nothing showed up on his MRI’s. He was going to be fine. How the hell did this happen?!” “I gotta go! I need to figure some stuff out!” Jaden said, as he ran through the double doors. Neo and Eric were walking towards the hospital, and ran into Ryan and Wolf. “Are you guys coming to check up on Crowler?” Wolf asked. Neo and Eric both nodded. Just then, Jaden ran out of the hospital and crossed the bridge leading to the forest which nobody was allowed to enter. Neo ran after Jaden, and everyone followed behind him. They quietly followed Jaden, and made sure not to lose him. Eventually, Jaden stopped. They all hid behind a bush. “Jaden, you have come? Is this the duel? We duel here and now?” the evil voice said, though there was no body. “Yes, I have come. Free my friends bring Crowler back! He didn’t deserve to die like that! You evil menace!” Jaden shouted The man appeared with a duel disk. But no cards were in the deck. He took the duel disk off his arm and slashed it at Jaden’s neck, almost hitting his Artery, but missed. “Jaden, would you like to join everyone else in the Shadow Realm?” He put his huge hand over Jaden’s face. Jaden grunted, and tried to kick, but his was slowly fading away. The darkness had taken over Jaden’s body. He was in the Shadow Realm, completely. “Oh my gosh! You killed Jaden! How could you killed my idol! The one I looked up to! Now, I’ll end you here and now!” Wolf shouted. The man chuckled. All the other kids still stood behind the bush, but the man probably realized that they were there. “So, you want to duel me? Who says you are any better than Jaden?” the man replied. “You never gave Jaden a dueling chance. If you think I’m really that weak, why don’t you defeat me in a duel. Deal?” “Wolf, don’t do this. We can leave now, never speak of this again!” Ryan said. Ryan winked over to the man, but nobody noticed. “No, we’ll do this the old fashioned way. Duel, win or lose, life or death” Wolf replied to Ryan. Neo and Eric jumped out behind the bushes, also. “You can do this Wolf, we believe in you, don’t let this bring you down! Win!” Eric said. “Do exactly what Eric said. Show him your skills as a duelist, Obelisk Blue isn’t Obelisk Blue for nothing! Show him what you’ve got!” “By the way, the name is Altrox, the 9th Shadow Rider.” Please comment. I will be away until Sunday, so no new chapters until then. I might be able to finish the next chapter tomorrow, then post it on Wednesday. I just had a Dentist Appointment today, so I couldn't do anything. I also watched the movie The Kite Runner which was amazing, so that obviously took a bite out of my time (2 Hours to be precise). Ya, so I have no idea when the next chapter will be up.
