Bird Soldier

His potential to immediately Xyz Summon into Utopia, Blackship, Roach, and other Rank 4's is quite broken. An easy fix would be to adjust the Level of Soldier or Defender to discourage that type of synergy. The sheer consistency and reach of his effect is somewhat overpowered, able to recycle without fear. I would suggest limiting his extension to the hand and Graveyard, or simply adding Defender from the Deck to the hand. In that case, there would be no need to worry about Xyz Summoning; however, looking to Princess, I see that searching is not your intention.

Bird Defender

Conveniently, his low ATK and high DEF offer the player a choice between its capability to absorb an opponent's attack and its thick, standalone staunchness in Defense Position. With the intent to eliminate the strategic linearity of Soldier and Princess, I would like to see mutual Special Summoning cooperation between Soldier and Defender, though not to the present potency of Soldier's ability. As it is, Defender's Type and Attribute make him workable in a Dark Simorgh Blackwing Deck, although the focus on defense is usually not why cards are splashed.

Bird Princess

With such a Summoning condition, I would expect Xyz synergy with her and the other two. Level 4 would fix that. If that is not the intent, then a completing effect would suffice. Currently, there is no true win condition with the series, bar a broken Xyz engine. I think that Princess would be the right card to bestow powerful effects to, which are conditional in relation to the other two.

While equipped by this effect, the equipped monster gains 1800 DEF. Once per turn: The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead.)[/spoiler][/spoiler]
