Writtens allowed Requirements: Make a card that supports Thunder-Type monsters in some way. General support (not archetype support ((Watt/Batteryman)). Card A When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Thunder-Type monster from your hand. This card can be treated as a Level 5 monster for a Xyz Summon if the other Xyz Material(s) are Thunder-Type. If this Xyz Material card is detached from a Rank 5 Xyz Monster and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 LIGHT Thunder-Type monster from your Graveyard, except "Thundering Legionnaire". Card B 2 Level 4 Thunder-Type Monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; return 1 Thunder-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Once per battle, during either player's turn, when an attack is declared involving this card and an opponent's monster: You can discard 1 Thunder-Type monster; this card gains ATK equal to that of the discarded card, and if this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent. These changes last until your next End Phase.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
I'm up for a rematch. The last one we did was close so this ought to be fun.
Therrion
Accepted! Too close for comfort, really. Good luck to you, Fluff.
.codex
Therrion, your card is broken as shit. Not only does it give Hunders a way to make Rank 5s, but it spams even more monsters and returns as well. The fuck where you thinking? The other card is fine, maybe not the most useful, would rather want to go into Shock, but it is way more balanced than card A. B wins
Megamaw
Codex, as it's worded right now, it still requires other level 5 mats besides itself-- which have to be Thunder, as well. What is A even supposed to do? Okay, you have to run a cloggy level 5 thunder if you want to do anything useful with it- or use another copy of itself. I'm not even sure what the flavor is supposed to be. On the other hand, B is flavorful, not too powerful, but I can still see myself going into it once in a while. I see no wording problems on either, and B just seems like a fun card. A... I don't even know what I'd use it for. B wins, hands down.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Thanks for the votes, both of you. Card A is at 0 and Card B is at 2.
Therrion
The flavor of being a Legionnaire is, as always, coming in numbers, thus the Special Summoning is the flavor. Was meant to provide Rank 4 plays while also giving more use for Thunder Dragons in hand, making them not entirely useless. It's a Seahorse target that can Summon another from hand, providing more oppurtunities to go into Rank 4s. The last effect would be hard to pull off, but is moreso a fix to the fact Thunder Xyz Decks usually go into 1 Xyz a turn (on average), with no real aggressive push (aside from a specific hand with Mahunder and Pahunder, which murders your hand so horribly for the push anyways). I don't see how it is "as broken as shit", nor do I see why I have to be worried about Hunders having another option to use (Are you afraid of Hunder for T1? Do you play Yu-Gi-Oh! ?) Though, I accept the vote obviously, Fluffs card is balanced and has more flavor (if that is what wins your vote). I'm off to a bad start ^-^'
Zazubat
While it is true that card A will need other Cards in Hunders to be played, you could play it outside of it and focus on higher level monsters. Bringing out The Creator would be amazing, but I feel like it isn't that balanced. If it was for Level 5 and under, I would maybe like it more, and maybe some other condition, but since there isn't, I feel like it's too powerful. The second card is actually pretty good. It can become pretty powerful, but still manages to be quite balanced in my opinion and since it's Zombie, it cannot be returned by Recycling Batteries.Card B gets my vote.
