Chandra, Sector C4 Night

After taking the burning branch, Chandra extinguished the flame on it to prevent it from obscuring her view of the current fight before moving across and leaning against one of the trees around them. Watching the two combatants fighting, she decided not to bother trying to interfere at the moment, as her flames would probably hit Kratos as well as his white-robed opponent. Turning to glance around her as the combatants continued to fight, Chandra looked into the shadows around them, getting the unpleasant feeling the group was being watched. Interestingly enough, one of the other Counter Corps they'd met, Kazuya, had created some sort of barrier around himself, seemingly not trusting them. Having not spotted anyone she hadn't already known about though, she turned back to continue watching the fight, occasionally using a quick spot of flame to burn away any of the petals that got too close to her as the fight continued.

Darcy, Sector A5 Night -> Sector C4 Night

Gliding smoothly across the air as she entered the night section of the planet, Darcy flew forward to where she could see the faint glimmers of fire. Slipping just below the canopy of the trees as she arrived, she could see a fight going on, one of the new members of the Divine against an unfamiliar Counter Corps member, someone else who was possibly a new member. Around the fight, the black fire mage from the Counter Corps that she'd caught glimpses of during the fight against LERNA was also there, along with some she didn't recognise. One of them had made a barrier around himself, and another had actually taken the time to glance around during the fight, as if sensing that there was someone nearby, but the darkness around along with the complete lack of light coming from around her body made it nearly impossible to actually see her currently.

Kazuya (C4-Night))

"Is he...dead?"

Kazuya just stood behind the trees silently during most of the fight that broke out between Kratos and the unknown man-in-white, up until the unknown person created several illusions to deliver a seemingly powerful attack to Kratos, and it became quite  hard for him to see what's going on now in the battle after that.

Kazuya managed to saw Kratos's incredible prowess in that battle, and couldn't help himself but to take notes about his maneuvers. When the battle-scarred warrior was caught in a barrage of attack from the unknown attacker, Kazuya felt some sort of pity to him, but quickly dismissed it as he realized that he would need to be ready if Kratos did perish on the attack, which although seemed unlikely, he still would need to account for it.

"Odin, heed my call. The world needs your wisdom once more."

As he whispered the words, a tall old man appeared behind him, one of his eyes was missing. He was wielding a spear even taller than himself, and he was clad in a robe made of something similar to a bear's fur.

Kazuya sighed, and drew his blade. He then made sure Kikuri Hime cast a layer of the protective shields on Odin, and quickly restored her magic energy with a Soma.

"Both Makarakarn and Tetrakarn would only reflect a magic and physical attack respectively once. With the unknown enemy's incredible speed, I guess I couldn't afford the effort to have them up all the time.

No problem, that time bought by the shields would be enough to counter him."

With the preparations finished, Kazuya and his demons watched as the dust settled down, preparing themselves to react to any sudden strike from behind the dust.

Sykes Huegares

He had been watching, oh yes had he been watching. Every single being whether they be Counter Corps or Divine were within Sykes' view do to the monitors that were setup inside of Ophelia's chambers. Sykes had been watching carefully and had finally decided on who he would pick, he would start with just two for now and work his way up. His hand hovered over a monitor that showed the scene of a girl with a grey chalky complexion who had just taken control of a monster to use for her own reasons. "Ayame Kaguya will be my first." Sykes's finger lightly tapped the screen and suddenly the ground beneath Ayame opened up, sucked her in, and closed within a fraction of a second.

Sykes's attention was then focused on another screen. This time a male stood at the scene, his outfit mainly sporting mainly dark and grey colors; his weapons were mere katanas so Syke's couldn't help but wonder how he would fare. He was in a confrontation now, but that didn't matter at all. "This one shall be my second, the others might notice his disappearance but they will be able to do nothing." Sykes's finger lightly touched the screen he was hovering over; the ground beneath Ed had opened up, sucked him down, and closed within a fraction of a second.

Ayame & Ed <Under the Forest of the Periphery>

The two figures had fallen hard into the ground on opposite sides of each other; if they were to try to stand they would find it difficult, for gravity was 2.5 times stronger than the surface while this close to the planet's core. Their eyes, if they were to look at their surroundings would see a coliseum all about them, with no hope of exit or escape at the moment. "Salutations representative of the Counter Corps and representative of the Divine. One of you will die, the other, well, that is really up for you two to decide through your combat abilities. The walls of the coliseum have a high defense value, and cannot be broken, furthermore..." The unfamiliar voice of Sykes Huegares sounds off at the two who had been thrust into his coliseum. At that moment, Sykes had pressed a button and two monsters had suddenly appeared inside the coliseum. One was a behemoth of a monster, measuring in at seventy feet long and fifty feet high; the second was skeletal figure, who smelt of plague and rot. Both monsters started for Ed, one using its impressive strength to slam down on him, and the other launching a devastating skull shaped ball of shadow magic. "Do try to put up a fight." Sykes turned from the monitors, disappearing at the moment, for now that his combatants were surely going to fight until one of them was dead, it was time for him to take the field. Unknown to the two combatants, the monsters would never stop coming.

Under the Forest of the Periphery

Kratos and the white robed man were in a stalemate. They were attacking with ferocity yet neither could injure the other, except for Kratos's earlier injury. When the man said Kenpachi's name, they began their final onslaught, but for Ed, time stopped. This man knew Kenpachi and apparently fought. Ed had to know more, but before he could say anything, he sucked into the ground. Ed landed with a thud in the dark coliseum. A second later, he heard another thud. When he tried to stand, he found it difficult. He stabbed his sword into the ground, using it to help haul himself up. A voice spoke throughout the coliseum telling him and a member of the Divine to fight to the death. When the voice finished, two monster appeared out of no where. One was a gargantuan beast, and the other was a rotting skeletal humanoid. The monsters then charged after him. "Bastard, making me fight to the death while one of my friends could possibly be dead while fighting someone who knew Kenpachi."

Ed raised his swords horizontally above his shoulders. He swung them in a circular motion, launching four black flame dragons, two for each monster, spiraling towards them head on. Ed went after the behemoth first, dodging the shadow magic that the lich launched at him. He run up the side of the behemoth while slicing through it's extremely thick flesh. Once on it's back, Ed plunged his sword once more into the beast until his blade was halfway through. He injected black flames into the wound, hoping to freeze the beast from the inside out. The flames poured out of the wound, exploding upwards, while the monster roared in pain.

D6 --> D5 (Day)

Aesir kept leaping from tree to tree until he came across the corpse of a dragon. Well, half of one at least. The other half must have still been forward from his current location. Still, the mere thought of that only made Aesir wonder what the hell he was getting himself into.

'...I best take this as a reminder to watch my step,' with that thought in mind, Aesir hopped down from the tree and proceeded on foot, remaining vigilant of any other Divines with his crossbow drawn. He had a feeling that he was about to go up against Sephiroth, the other Divine member that the original Counter Corps were warned about back when Emiya was around; the last thing Aesir needed was to be ambushed by all the lesser ones...

Sector C-4, Night

"Shoushi." he said in victory.  There was no doubt that Byakuya's target was indeed dead.  Well, there was a hint of doubt.  There was a gathering of magical energy at the center of the plume of Senbonzakura's assault, and it burst upwards in flames, igniting the air around it.  Kratos was surrounded by two of his Spartan Warriors, and Byakuya scoffed.  Kratos rolled his shoulder, as his Blades of Chaos turned into the Claws of Hades once more.

"I'm going to show you hell."

"Been there.  Done that.  Literally," Byakuya retorted confidently.

"Not in my world you haven't."

Senbonzakura returned to Byakuya, and Kratos' Spartan brothers glowed in a purple light.  They turned from Warriors to beasts, both Chimera.  They pounced at Byakuya, and he summoned two after images to counter attack.  Unfortunately, the sheer raw power of the Chimera souls did away with the squishy after images after a second's notice.  Baykuya kicked one of the Chimera away like an abandoned dog.  The Chimera turned their attention back to Byakuya, consoling each other, but as fast as they pounced, they were washed away in pedals.  It was indeed a stalemate.  Both warriors refused to resort to unnecessary tactics, and it would draw the fight out for too long at this rate.  So Byakuya took this opportunity to sheathe his sword.

"When you want me to take you seriously, use your full strength.  Until then I will continue to hunt down your utterly pathetic allies, until only you remain."

But while Byakuya was talking, Kratos was acting.  Just as Byakuya turned to vanish away, he felt a tugging at his robes.  When Byakuya's after images did battle with Kratos' Chimera moments ago and Byakuya's foot made contact with one of the hell souls, it burned into his leggings.  There was a purple stain that tore at his robes, and began to eat them away completely.  He immediately snapped the burning cloth off.  He was not pleased at the destruction of his Captain's uniform.  He drew Senbonzakura and lunged again.  This time, it was Kratos who intercepted.  The soul chains of Kratos' Claws wrapped around Byakuya's lunging Zanpaktou, but failed to trap him as the blade silently turned back into pedals, allowing Byakuya to land a fierce kick to Kratos' head.  But as Kratos fell, he managed to grab hold of Byakuya's robes, and they were both sent into a spiral dive into the ground.  Byakuya attempted to draw Senbonzakura back to him, but he didn't expect Kratos to have grabbed hold of Senbonzakura's hilt.  Turning the hilt towards Byakuya, Senbonzakura hummed, and formed right into Byakuya's chest as he and Kratos slammed into the ground.  Kratos bounded up immediately and waited with the Spear of Destiny in hand.

Byakuya lay on the ground, Senbonzakura in his chest.  He bled heavily, and forced himself to remove the sword from his body.  How insulting.  To be wounded by his own blade.  To be harmed by someone so INFERIOR.  A lesser being DARED to stand up to a CAPTAIN!?  Kratos remained battle ready, as a smug look crossed Byakuya's face.  His chest bleeding, he placed a hand over the wide wound, and recited something in his native tongue.  Inside the wound, a solid black rectangle formed, and sealed the wound tight.  It was just as painful as Senbonzakura's impact, but it was temporary.  To think, Byakuya was forced to take his opponent's mind seriously.  How he had fallen so far.  He raised his head at last, and pointed his blade at Kratos once more.  "That won't work twice," he taunted.  Kratos said nothing.  Instead he extended the tail end of his Spear and fired it behind him, while simultaneously turning his sandals to the Boots of Hermes.  It gave him an enormous boost of speed, and he closed the gap against Byakuya almost instantly.  It was then Kratos realized Byakuya was expecting this, as he was close lined into the ground, and his body created an exact crater of himself at Byakuya's feet.

Black Dynamite chuckled at this.  "You got dunked!  Get yo' ass up!"

Kratos shook his head, clearing his vision that went cloudy from the fierce close-line.  Byakuya's blade now pointed down at Kratos, and he dropped it directly onto Kratos' head.  Kratos reacted quickly, drawing forth two more Spartan soldiers to defend himself.  But it was pointless.  The Zanpaktou withered through the Spartan Warriors, and past Kratos' body completely.  Byakuya's Zanpaktou withered into the ground as if the ground were a puddle of water.  His smile faded away, and his face became expressionless.

"Bankai," he said softly.  All around C-4, the forest began to shift shapes, and it's very floor turned black.  Kratos sprang to his feet and rolled away from Byakuya just in time to see every tree within a ten mile radius from Byakuya and himself be pierced with a Zanpaktou that exactly replicated Byakuya's.  Trees large and wide were shredded in their vicinity, forcing those hiding to move or be killed.  The giant blades formed and immense row, and Byakuya finished his chant.

"Senbonzakura Kageyoshi."

Black Dynamite was in awe at this magic show.  "Some fancy sheet.  Are those real?"  He attempted to touch one of the large blades, only to have his finger sliced wide open.  He screamed in pain.  "Gwaaaaaahahahaah!  Eeeeyaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!  Motherf-- God damn sonuva-- oooh this some ol' bullshit.  Kratos!"

Kratos turned his head temporarily from Byakuya to Black Dynamite.

"Kick his ass!" Black Dynamite said cheering.

Kratos nodded, and reverted back to his blades of Chaos.

South Pole

It seemed as if all the members of Team Dorian had the same awesome daydream at the same awesome time. It was interesting to say the least but it looked like he massive threat that was Madara was but a figment of the teams paranoia. From the looks of it, seems that Madara didn't even make it through the portal. Of course this could mean that with all of Lady Isamy's...Isamyness she could have easily sensed that there was something wrong and somehow rectified the entire situation. While that might have been something that caused a sigh of relief for a couple of the members of Team Dorian this was a staunch disappointment for one of them.

I'M SOOOOOO BOOOORRRREEEEDDDD!!!! Could be heard throughout the daylight side of the planet. Wyvern Radamanthys was clearly shouting about his bordem. Radamanthys wasn't actually having the same problems that he the other two were though. In fact he wasn't even walking the forest by himself. Due to the combination of Isamy's spell and his natural dominance he had amassed a small army of creatures following. Make no mistake this wasn't because he wanted another army to follow him its just that these few creatures were strong enough to survive his aura and to reward them with death by his hands seemed like a waste of an opportunity. Luckily there was an odd chair like creature he used as a floating throne room he seemed to travel the forest in style.

He had a brief bought of entertainment as evident by the upper half of a creatures body that was resting in his lap. Slowly Radamanthys was snacking on this creature as maybe a way to easy his boredom. The creature was actually an "angel" of sorts (circa A Certain Magical Index) and it was supposed to be Radamanthys' natural counter agent. One cannot blame whoever sent this creature to their doom. The logic was there, Radamanthys is one of the three judges of Hell, wouldn't an angel be the natural counter agent. Unfortunately whoever this was did not account for the different rules Hell Radamanthys' own universe.

First residents of Hell aren't demons they are known as specters. Specters aren't faith based entities, in fact anyone could be one a specter if they wanted. Sure they would have to die but it is equal opportunity. Second and probably most important, the power of Cosmos was probably not analyzed as much as it should be. This too was logical. Radamanthys is one of the newest recruits that the Divine had. How could someone know everything about him already? Cosmos at its core is energy used to destroy atoms. Even the most basic of basic specters and saints (the good guys of Saint Seiya verse) are taught how to manipulate atoms in other objects.

Wyvern Radamanthys' cosmos is absurd so much so that being next to him when he's not holding back is a struggle for survival on a subatomic level. Naturally all living things have cosmos whether they like it or not. It is this natural cosmos that keeps people alive in the prescense of those with superior cosmos. Nevertheless when one is properly trained in cosmos they can achieve massive feats of destruction. This combination was way too much for the "angel" and she was soundly defeated.

"Ugh this is soo boring. Seriously why did I have to land in the place where nothing interesting is happening." He looked around as he easily picked up on the different fights that were going on his side of the planet. They were ants. Ants probably fighting other ants. 'twas fun to sense Dorian's cosmos flare for a second. What could actually make another actually work hard? Was it a Saint of Athena? Well that's borderline impossible, no way could be not sense another cosmos other than their's and quite honestly if there was a true saint working for the opposition no way Dorian would need only a second to actually win. Saints are given rigorous training and Dorian was given rigorous suffering there would be no true comparison in skill. Maybe Dorian just got lost and needed cosmos to find his way. The fool.

Radamanthys continued his floating path looking to see if something interesting would pop up. Though it would be nice if he stumbled upon this whole Key/Door thing of Origin or better yet what if he met this entity that was most likely controlling Madara.

Ayame, Under the Forest of the Periphery

Having been sucked straight into the hole before she could react, Ayame found herself in a colosseum-style arena. Across from her, one of the original Counter Corps members had already started to engage the monsters that had emerged. From what the voice had said, they would be pitted against each other, with the loser to be killed and the winner to have at least a chance of getting out alive, though even that wasn't currently guaranteed. It was a fairly bad situation, trapped in the arena in what appeared to be just an underground cave, no visible way to reach the surface again, and their survival resting in them beating each-other. Narrowing her eyes for a moment, her wings folded close against her back before just merging back through the shirt to disappear completely. With the gravity as strong as it is, her wings would only be a liability as she couldn't gather enough lift to fly off the ground.

Now looking at her opponent as he fought the creatures, the remnants pulled up any memories they had of him, finding his name to be Ed, one of Lyon's acquaintances from his home world and another water and ice mage like Lyon. Interestingly, he seemed to be able to use the black flames much more freely than Lyon ever managed, and therefore more competently than Ayame could manage using his sword, currently sitting at her hip. Coming to a decision, Ayame charged forward as she brought her staff down from it's holster on her back, charging it up with electricity even as she reached the skeleton. After dodging one of it's shadow balls, she managed to get close enough in range to start hitting it with her staff. To her dismay, while the staff itself was working against the skeleton, the lightning running down the staff was having no noticeable effect on the skeleton, not even the slow build-up of corruption that had worked on the minotaur. With her attacks ineffective, she jumped back a few paces, returning the staff to its holster before drawing the sword from her hip, and moving forward with a powerful, horizontal swing aimed at its midsection, just below it's lowest ribs where the spine connected the upper body to the lower body.

-----

Chandra, C4 Night

As the ground turned black and the trees were destroyed, Chandra quickly moved away from the one she had been leaning on to avoid being hurt by the blade. Moving back away from the fight, she found a new spot to lean, a tree just outside of the range of Byakuya's skill, and as such still a tree and not a giant blade. As she returned to leaning, though on a different tree now, Chandra found that she couldn't see Ed anywhere, but as she hadn't been paying attention to where everyone had moved to, she just figured he had ended up somewhere she couldn't currently see.

-----

Darcy, C4 Night

Much higher up in the sky, Darcy quickly slipped back up through the canopy of the forest before the trees below her were destroyed. With all the branches and leaves of the trees now out of her way, she could watch the fight from above the forest, watching as a bunch of blades appeared in a row, seeming to be replacing the destroyed trees. After quickly making sure that no-one was watching her, she settled just past the edge of one of the trees around them, continuing to watch the events going on.

Kazuya (C4-Night))

Kazuya didn’t see the blades coming.

As he was closely watching the battle between Kratos and the enemy, he was caught off-guard when the enemy summoned two rows of seemingly thousands of gigantic blades, and if it’s not for his Tetrakarn, he or one of his demons would have been cut in half. Not that he cared much if one of his demons got killed, since between Kikuri Hime and his items, he could just revive them back.

Afer recovering from the shock from the sudden attack and sidestepped into a safer position, Kazuya quickly ordered Kikuri-Hime to cast another round of Tetrakarn, and that’s when he realized that he was somewhat in the open due to the trees around him being cut by the blades.

Neither combatants (nor Black Dynamite) seemed to have realized his appearance, and Kazuya would like to keep it that way.  So he returned right back into the darkness of the forest, and started to find a good position for him to watch the rest of the fight unfold.

He thought to himself for a while whether it would be best for him to join in the fight at this moment, but he decided not to, since even if he didn’t actually believe in the sense of honor in a fight, he respected others who believed in it, and joining in would only ruin the honor of the fight to the actual combatants.

Still, Kazuya ordered Odin to use Mind Charge, focusing his magic in preparation for a powerful attack accounting for the possibility if he did have to enter the fray.

Tenshi (D4-Night)

Blades. Thousands of blades erupted from the ground, obliterating the trees and everything near them. The blades almost sliced Tenshi’s head clean, but she managed to regain her connection with reality just in time to move far, far away from the rows of blades, which managed to slice her keystone clean just seconds after Tenshi left it.

“..An enemy is nearby. No, more than that. Several enemies are nearby. The scarlet sword could feel their temperaments floating in the air.

Would it be best to engage them now? I’m pretty sure I can handle any of them one-by-one, but in groups…

Also, why does it’s already nighttime here? And when did I end up here, floating in my keystone? This is pretty much not the place where I took my nap.

Geez, I sure have slept for a while, and maybe I have some case of sleepwalking.

Whatever, that’s not important right now. I should check the enemies first.”

After recollecting herself, Tenshi then summoned another keystone to raise her up into the trees, and moved from the tree to another until she noticed some sort of opening in the middle of the forest, and decided to stop and start spying. But all she could see was the white man with red scars all over his body and a brownish man with a funny hairstyle facing down someone clad in white who somehow looked familiar. Tenshi thought that maybe he’s one of Isamy’s retainer, since she barely remembered seeing him in Isamy’s briefing. The other two were definitely a stranger though, and strangers should not be considered as an ally unless noted otherwise.

The man in white was clearly the one responsible for the blades, and Tenshi was quite pissed up by the fact that someone who might be her ally almost decapitated her, but decided to be quiet to not attract any attention from the enemy. She then thought to herself about what should she do about the current situation.

“Hm, I really don’t want to only watch the battle, but I definitely don’t want to get gangbanged by the enemy group.

I guess I can try sniping one of them from here, and that would make one less enemy for me to face.

But…it shouldn’t only be three persons around here, the temperaments in the air said otherwise. I can’t let myself be exposed here where I am vulnerable, and especially potentially against a group. Maybe I should try locating the rest first.

Ah, I think I have an idea.”

She summoned back her floating keystone, and summoned several other floating keystones almost similar to it. The keystones continued to hover near her, creating some sort of ring around her.

“Now, I’ll just have to prepare for my shot, which probably is the only shot except everyone else is a bumbling fool, which they hopefully are. You only shoot once, as many people said.”

Tenshi then gathered the temperaments from the area into her sword, while summoning several keystone drills around her, aiming for one of the individuals below.

Her plan was to target one of the figures in the opening, bombard the figure with keystone drills and scarlet bullets, and quickly hop into one of the keystones, while using the other keystones as a decoy. She didn’t actually plan her escape route yet, but she hoped that the decoys would be enough to buy her time.

Also, the decoys would hopefully split the enemy’s group, and Tenshi believed that she’d be able to handle any of them one-by-one, being quite confident with her combat ability.

(Tenshi is now in C4-Night)

Meanwhile, the angelic figure lost Tenshi after the blades were manifested, and she was then moving around aimlessly in frustration, trying to find her prey.

“Tch, this is getting annoying. At this point, I’ll need to bring out my dream world into this place.

If I knew the strong aura would fade away minutes after she fell deep into my nightmare, I could’ve just killed her at that moment without hesitation.”

The figure stopped for a while to think, and decided to follow the rows of blades to hopefully find Tenshi and finish her job.

Sphere Forest of the Periphery, Night Side, Sector C3:

The silver craft finally found several clearings in places across the small planet, and switched over to its gravitic repulsors as it came in for the descent. A silvery glider shape cruised through the night sky before finally coming to a halt with inhuman motion and rotating as it settled down on the surface. The two women inside of the ship hopped out following Alexander, Ratchet, and Clank, while Samuel, the Gears, Foster, and Otto remained onboard. "Remember the plan." Foster reminded. "Alex, you have a Markerlight with you." He indicated to the goldish-orange gun-shaped device in his hand. "Keep in touch with us, and if there's any trouble, you can call in some air support from the Inch of Will by pointing that at something and pulling the trigger. It creates a targeting laser that feeds back to Bradbury's systems." He then turned to Yuki and Teslarc. "You two stay safe, and Teslarc, you make sure that kid gets awake sometime in the near future." The helmeted figure nodded and gave a thumbs-up to the Commander, who then turned back to the ship. "Alright, Brad! Let's go find some trouble!" The ship started to slowly rise up, keeping its cargo bay doors opened as power was shunted from its generators to the intricate network of 16 automated burst cannons along its hull, which gave it point-defense capabilities in a sphere around the shiny craft. Once clear of the treetops, its gravitic repulsors engaged to the rear, sending it flying through the air towards a ruckus nearby.

Sphere Forest of the Periphery, Night Side, Sector C3:

Humanoids...weak flesh...flesh needing to be strong...it could always be strong once it was made pure...once the weak little light inside of it was joined with a greater beacon, a lighthouse of divine power, encompassed by meat brought together under one desire: to grow and spread and make all into one. The Glory knew of what mortals are, but not what they actually were. They had no concept of individuality or human spirit or willpower. They merely sensed what was not themselves, and sought to make it a part of themselves. They were a choir of holy bodies, of organs and muscle and bone and synapses fused together as one, and they always wanted more singers to join their song.

However, they sensed something...strange...one of the nearby lights sang to the same tune as themselves! Somehow, this little ember had escaped the beautiful inferno that was the Glory, even after becoming a part of themselves! The Glory could not understand why anything would want to leave their divinity, HOW anything could just split from themselves! They did not know of what Tsunugai had done to defeat them in a previous incarnation, but now, they hungered for knowledge, to learn how this spark freed itself from them, and so, as the writhing, pulsating, ever-changing mass of organic matter pulled itself towards them on spindly legs of marrow and taught muscle, they created several puckers along their surface that shot out harpoons of serrated bone connected to cords of material resembling intestines. towards Tsunugai, attempting to connect part of Tsunugai's body to themselves, and rejoin Tsunugai with his proper place.

Ophelia

Things weren't quite going as smoothly as she had hoped.

After all, Uchiha Madara had been abruptly booted off the planet by the Herald of Chaos and Entropy without warning, and any attempt to retrieve him would be futile since Isamy was already aware of his power. However, luckily enough, there were still a great amount of things which she wouldn't be aware of, including the Sphere's true nature and the presence of Sykes, which could be used as an advantage.

This wasn't the only problem though, and it seemed that many of the various enemies that had been specifically plucked out from time weren't doing much to weaken the intruders. Some, like Sephiroth, weren't even being slightly distracted, but hopefully those like him would find a worthier opponent in the Counter Corps - still, even Ogudomon ended up being defeated somehow. Were all the efforts taken to gather all these opponents meaningless?

"Kuchiki Byakuya... So he didn't die in the Shadow Realm?" The Reyvateil muttered to herself as she observed the battle between him and a warrior identified as the God of War, Kratos. As of yet, neither of them had been interrupted, but that was about to change.

Having concluded the analysis on the Counter Corps, she had tiny distortions of time and space materialize throughout the world, and through them had more opponents emerge, orientated towards each of the Corps' weaknesses, as well as a powerful Quincy that she sent to interrupt the aforementioned battle and take Byakuya down, working alongside the opponent she'd prepared for Kratos.

There was also a Tau Manta that was currently rocketing through the skies of the Sphere Forest, and to be honest, for an anti-army spacecraft to be there worried her somewhat. Visuals were difficult to maintain on it, and she was unable to determine who - if anyone - was inside. No matter. She'd prepared even for situations such as this, and keeping its cargo bays opened was a grave mistake.

...

Generating a spacial portal as close to it as possible, she fired out what seemed to be some kind of metallic brass missile. All the burst cannons were somehow deflected from it as it kept on its course, and it violently smashed into the cargo bays, penetrating deeper until it stopped about halfway through the Manta. Rubble from the various walls and rooms it'd gone through completely covered the appearance of the missile, shielding it from view, and for a passing moment of silence, it seemed as though the assault had failed.

"...COMPLETE. I AM IN A TAU MANTA MISSILE DESTROYER SPACECRAFT." A voice suddenly came from the crashed projectile. "WIDE-RANGE INTELLIGENCE SCAN INITIATE...COMPLETE."

As a low humming began to echo throughout the damaged hallway, the 'missile' began to rise out from the rubble, moving into a more balanced, vertical position. The first thing to appear was a blue-lighted eyestalk, followed by a large casing composed of an alien alloy that resembled bronze, with a manipulator arm and gunstick attached. Such a design looked rather laughable at first. One of its arms looked like a plunger, it seemed too heavy to be practical in any way whatsoever, and how would it even go up a single staircase?

"HUMAN OF SUPERIOR INTELLIGENCE DETECTED."

But if one were to actually know what this thing was, then they would run. Run very, very far away. For this was a Dalek, and as soon as it had stabilized itself, it began to make its way towards the main cockpit.

"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!!!"

Isamy, Between Sectors C7-Day and C7-Night - South Pole

Over the past ten minutes, the sorceress had destroyed a strangely large amount of opponents, each of which differed from the other. There were these odd angel-shaped statues that attacked when she wasn't looking, some dark creature with a clockwork body, a few monsters she recognized from the Yu-Gi-Oh card game that tried to banish her somehow, a man with a ridiculously large gun, and various other things. After having realized that she wasn't getting anywhere, she decided to sit down and meditate calmly at the very end of the Sphere Forest, shielding herself with a forcefield - at the moment, they were being assaulted by sparkling vampires to no avail.

That was when a certain person went through the forcefield somehow and talked to her. She was initially alarmed, but upon realizing that it was that harmless projection of some kind of cardmaking pixie from before, she relaxed.

"You. What was your name again, Shadyvox or something? Hello." The Herald greeted, not bothering to either open her eyes or get up from her meditation, but she couldn't help but smile in amusement a bit at his words. "Since I'm taking it easy with finding the Key and everything, you can hardly call me 'busy'. If I was busy, then I'd just smash into this planetoid and search its rubble for the Key. I mean, it's not like you're going to step out from your little room and stop me." As one of the vampires managed to form a single, tiny crack into the energy shield she'd projected, she clicked her fingers and it repaired herself.

"You know, considering the fact that the Door of Origin can rewrite all reality, I'm surprised that you - or any other Outer God for that matter - haven't taken action. Even you and that domain of yours aren't going to safe from it. Or is it because you support me in my goals? I'd like to know the answer to that."

Under the Forest of the Periphery

The beast known as the Tarrasque was quite fierce indeed. Its only thoughts at the moment were rage, hunger, and more rage; though the man in front of him was not the one who had awoken him, it mattered not. Two ferocious dragons of flame were launched at the Tarrasque, however, because of the beast's immunity to flame, the impact of the attack was rendered moot. All the beast had felt was a cold sensation in his outer shell. This attack made the beast unaware of the man now scaling the side of his body attempting to cut his outer shell. His assault was no more damaging than a professor who had scratched a nail on his chalk board. Next, the man had the sheer audacity to try and pierce the Tarrasque's hard outer shell, only succeeding in getting his blade stuck within. Despite the damage being reduced, it was still quite annoying; the Tarrasque, faced with adversity, chose an option that would inflict high damage to the man on his back, it rolled over.

The Lich's spell had failed to hit its intended target, and worse more, the target had launched back a counter-attack of his own. Bones clicked as the Lich quickly erected a barrier of shadow magic around himself, after blocking the damage from Ed's attack, there was just enough residual magic to form one shadow ball to launch at its second enemy. It was dodged and then the woman had tried to attack it with a pitiful lightning imbued staff. Her strikes were rendered almost completely ineffective, and the Lich merely laughed at the attempt made by the feeble warrior. This was the exact moment that Ayame's stolen blade had cut through the Lich, his arrogance and air of superiority had seemed to be his downfall. As the bones were cast away, the truth was known, that the real Lich was standing just behind the one that had been destroyed. It was pointing a boney finger at Ayame and suddenly Ayame was launched upwards against the force of the gravity and slammed into the ceiling; the Lich then released its spell to have Ayame be slammed into the floor by the coliseum's natural gravity.

Sephiroth <D5>

One black feather had fallen into view of the running man's eyes, there was no need to turn around, for there was no doubt that The One Winged Angel was just behind him now. "You have a peculiar darkness about you..." He said in his deep and smooth voice that only further confirmed his allegiance. "One might not think you're a member of the Counter Corps with that darkness." Sephiroth commented, toying with the man he now turned to face with his Masamune pointed toward him. "I wonder if you're capable of fighting for anything at all..." Sephiroth continued to pick at the man's mind...

Matthew Supplex & Nero <The Intersecting Corner of C2 and D1>

It seemed as if no speed they were going could truly be fast enough, their friends were endanger and they needed to get there fast. "I think I can just barely make out Arthur. We're almost there." They both had felt a rush of energy originating from off in the distance, but they dare not turn back now. "We should keep going, it might be horrible to say, but we owe them much more." Matthew commented, Nero had simply nodded his head in agreement.

Sykes Huegares <The Intersecting Corner of C2 and D1>

"Pardon me." Matthew and Nero turned around quickly; they hadn't sensed him, they hadn't heard him approach, and they were completely baffled as to why he would speak before attacking so they hesitated. "My name is Sykes Huegares, we are to fight. I will be initiating combat within five seconds." Nero and Matthew glanced at each other and shrugged. Matthew drew his revolver but Sykes was already right in front of him; he knocked the revolver away from his hand and sent his right hand straight through Matthew's chest. Flecks of black skin had come from the exit wound, this had meant that Sykes had punched through Matthew's Oni Sukin. While his hand was still inside of Matthew's chest, it opened to reveal a shimmering glow of yellow energy that brightened Nero's already surprised expression. "Hado #63. Raikōhō..." Sykes uttered, and suddenly a massive of yellow energy was launched at Nero and exploded into a great cloud of dust. Nero was launched into the air from the impact, Sykes took note of that fact as he tossed Matthew's lifeless body from the end of his right arm...

Nero <D1>

Nero had flown through the air far into D1 and had landed within a clearing that also contained MirageGaoGamon and a peculiar machine. His keyblade landed just an inch away from impaling his head. "Mirage...Gao...Gamon...?" Nero asked, noticing that the Digimon had also been heavily damaged. He tried to stand but fell onto a knee. Where had that man come from, and where had he gone? He was far to fast not to be here already, unless he was unsure of where Nero had landed, maybe. Nero didn't want to take that chance, he stood and took a few steps towards MirageGaoGamon before falling again...

D5 (Day)

Aesir sensed a great deal of power, from the man who had now appeared... behind him. Typical, but he was unphased. And then, as Sephiroth finally circled around to face him, he began his typical mind tactics. Sure, they'd work fine on... say, Cloud, but Aesir wasn't so susceptible to such trickery.

"Keep wondering, 'cause not even the likes of you will be in my way for long," Aesir said boldly, tossing the Grief Seed he had in the air, catching it and tossing it again as he was staring down the coveted Masamune blade... until a smirk came across his face, "Though you're right about one thing; one might even welcome me into your headquarters whilst being none the wiser... not to mention that he or she might give me a token of appreciation."

That said, Aesir caught the Grief Seed for the last time, and then pocketed it.

"This... isn't much, but I suspect it's more than anyone else will ever get from Isamy; even her own warriors," he stated solemnly, before drawing and pointing his crossbow at Sephiroth's face, "So allow me to ask you something hypothetical: Why then, would one willingly obey such a deceptible fool?"

D7 (Day) --> C2 (Night)

Final Fantasy X OST: Otherworld

Meanwhile, as Aesir and Sephiroth were mainly exchanging small talk for the moment, battle had already begun for the other two. Sarah had already launched a stream of fire in response to Jecht's charging, but Jecht, having baited that the whole time, countered with his signature Jecht Beam. This in turn caused a fiery explosion to whoosh past Sarah's face, which left her open for a grab with Jecht's gauntlet, as he jumped high in the air and lobbed Sarah a mile away, his own aura eating away at her strength as she soared backwards into the air... until she just about broke her back on a tree.

It wasn't over yet; Jecht rushed forward again, his aura enabling him to run through the trees that got in his way... literally! Just before he got to Sarah though, the latter blasted a circle of fire at high which pushed him back... before he used a tree to push himself forward again.

"EEEUUUAAAAARRRRRGH!!"

"FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-!!"

Sarah teleported just as Jecht would've otherwise beheaded her with his sword, only to find herself stuck up the same tree that she had hit earlier, upside-down and tangled within the branches. Jecht was initially frustrated as he ripped the sword from its trunk, but he had to laugh at the sight of Sarah.

"funking HERALD OF GAYNESS AND DUMBSHITNESS!!" Sarah scowled as she struggled to free herself, "Stick me up a funking tree with your funking bullshit!"

"Hah, could be worse!" Jecht scoffed, "Here, lemme get ya down."

The good news was that Sarah was indeed let down. The bad news was that she got slashed in the back she then landed on. Sword back in hand, Jecht walked slowly towards the fallen Sarah, before positioning the sword so it appeared to push her right breast aside to get to her heart.

"Give up?" asked a smirking Jecht.

Onboard the Inch of Will (C-4, Night):

"Emergency. Intruder detected. Initiating countermeasures." Before the Dalek could get its bearings, the cargo elevator connecting the cargo bay on the bottom of the ship to the cabin near the top closed shut with a large metal hatch that locked together. "Separation sequence activated. Cargo bay conversion in effect. Emergency deployment in 30 seconds."
"Separation sequence?!?" Foster exclaimed as he kept his ZF-1D trained on the Dalek, hearing the sounds of clamps and wires connecting the hold on the ship's belly from the rest of the craft turning. Meanwhile, the view outside of the cargo bay was changing as the ship started to lower itself near to the domain of the giant blades, but not close enough to be within the Bankai's range.
"In an emergency situation such as this, the cargo hold can be detached from the ship to serve as a lifeboat, or, in this case, a deployable bunker." Bradbury explained in his cool logical prose. "Likewise, the cockpit and engineering sections of the ship near the front can detach to serve as a smaller lifepod, but this is the best course of action. Itsu added these functions during her initial overhaul of the craft. Deploying cargo bay...3...2...1. Good luck, Commander."

On cue, the ship briefly settled down, only for most of it to detach from the cargo bay below and begin taking off once more, leaving Samuel Hain, Otto Skorzeny, Commander Cinncinatus Foster, and a pair of Coalition of Ordered Governments soldiers in a bunker-like space with a rather puzzled cyborg.

"So..." Otto started, summoning his special Walther PPK from thin air using wisps of shadows and aiming at the eyestalk. "Let's see if this pfefferstreuer can sense fear." He glared at his foe. "Can you, little blechdose? Do you know what fear is?"

(Purposely started after the beginning to start the buildup)

The pressure was slowly building up to the point when the battle would begin. Tsunugai and Richard were walking in opposite directions while in circular motions towards the Glory. Tsunugai pushed his feet into the ground, sinking them slightly into the dirt. Ironically enough, the memories of what happened the last time came back to him. He was doing the exact thing as the battle with the Glory first began with his Paladin allies on his side. The tenseness of this situation brought forth a sense of readiness as well, as the Glory attempted to attack first...

Tsunugai didn't know what this abomination was capable of, but he knew that any physical contact would be risky as he wouldn't know how long before those protrusions from 'their' body would jut out at wherever it was hit directly. But he knew, that once it released it's harpoons, it has already begun. 'They' would not stop until all of the biomass of the Paladins are absorbed into 'themselves' and the souls are to be broken of their will so that 'they' can use the biomass freely. But that was not about to happen. Especially with the foreknowledge of what's to come...

"MOVE!!"

As the harpoons jutted out of the Glory, Tsunugai and Richard jumped backward a good distance, Richard casting a lightning spell to shatter the harpoons...

Sector C-4, Night

The blades that now surrounded Kratos collapsed.  They all shattered as Byakuya's single Zanpaktou had done before, and now the number of Senbonzakura pedals he wielded totaled in the millions.  Hundreds of millions of miniscule blades that cut like full blown two-handed swords were at one man's disposal.  And it was disgusting.  The pedals began to pool inwards, and slowly enclose around Kratos.  He had no choice but to protect himself, and drew forth his entire 299 man Spartan Army.  As the undead magical warriors materialized at his side, they surrounded him on all sides like a fortress, and Kratos marched not around, but through Senbonzakura.  One by one his soldier's lives were ended, but they lived just long enough for Kratos to make it to the end of the tunnel of death.  Byakuya was not surprised at the man's endurance, even as some blades pierced his defense line, he pressed on, blade in hand.  Forcing Byakuya to parry, Kratos slid to the ground and aimed a kick for the Shinigami's chin.  Byakuya leaned backwards, catching Kratos' leg and hurling him into the air.  Byakuya followed his target immediately, and Kratos expected this.  His sandals glowed again and let off a flare of flames, briefly clouding Byakuya's vision and rendering him helpless.

Kratos took this opportunity to retaliate, and landed two vicious slashes with his blades, as he flipped himself upright.  Byakuya reeled backwards and caught himself in mid-air.  Senbonzakura surrounded it's owner and his target completely now, blocking outside visuals temporarily.  There was a violent explosion that could be heard outside of the dome of petals, and the light it created shone through at hundreds of angles, creating a disco-ball like effect on the dome of petals.

Inside Senbonzakura

Byakuya materialized two solid white Zanpaktou in his hands, and vanished.  Kratos looked around wildly, but Byakuya managed to react faster than Kratos expected, and scarred Kratos' back once more.  Kratos in surprise, rolled over to the ground, but quickly hopped to his feet.  "The weak don't deserve to walk the realm my queen shall inhabit.  And you.  You are scum.  Judging by your behavior you're nothing more than an arrogant brute who believes he can right his wrongs.  But you are ignorant.  And you will die in your guilt and agony.  I will make you suffer."

Brute?  Kratos tightened his fists around his blades.  Arrogant?  Kratos began to glow a violent red.  "Right my wrongs?  I wallowed in sorrow a long time ago.  But now, I'm here to keep people like you from taking away the light-- the hope of this Universe.  You're just like my father.  Quick to draw judgment, but blind to the very crooked path you walk.  And I'm through listening to your mouth!"  Kratos literally sparked, and exploded with rage.

C-4

When the smoke settled, Senbonzakura's petals had surrounded Byakuya in a protective cloak, but not soon enough.  They fell away from him, and he was covered in severe burns.

"I will not--," he coughed up blood.  "I will not  be bested by someone like you."  Byakuya then materialized four swords in total, two in his hands, and two more which floated beside him.  Then, pale white spirit wings grew on his back.  It gave him an enormous speed boost, and he was gone before anyone had realized it.  Unfortunately, Kratos had.  He recognized this savage fighting style.  It used to be his own.  Byakuya was consumed by wanting to fulfill a need that contributed only to those he deemed worthy, instead of contributing to all of his allies.  He was fast, he was powerful, but he was reckless.  There was a flurry of strikes at Kratos' face, but with his right wrist held to his face, each strike was parried . . .  .all one-thousand of them.  Byakuya had struck the Golden Fleece once too much, and it filled with repulsive magic.  The strikes were enough to cause the fleece to erupt, and send Byakuya flying out of control when Kratos flung his wrist.  The impact was obvious, and so was Byakuya's condition.  Byakuya flew so fast, that instead of crashing through a gigantic tree, he flew into one of it's jagged limbs, and was impaled through his chest.  Still, Kratos did not let up.  Even as Byakuya's spell began to fade, Kratos landed in front of the Shinigami and approached him silently.  Kratos drew out the Claws of Hades, and prepared to take Byakuya's soul, when something strange happened.

Byakuya's dying flesh began to turn whole again.  His robes returned to their normal colors, and his haiori returned to normal.  Senbonzakura's petals were pink again, and Byakuya began to painfully recall what was happening.  Spitting up blood, he looked around, wondering where he was.

Kratos noticed the man's change, and stopped.  "What are you doing now?  You cannot escape your death."

"How--how did I get here?" Byakuya said at last in his normal voice.  He looked around for signs of Kenpachi and Yachiru, but did know they were dead.  "Where is the. . . " he gasped for air.  ". . . head Captain?"

Kratos was confused, looking around trying to understand who Byakuya was looking for.

Meanwhile. . .

Black Dynamite was impressed at the fiasco of a fight, but lights in the distance caught his attention even more so.  It looked something like. . . "A space ship!?  Aww hell no!  I know those bastards from Mamasaymamasamamakusa  didn't follow me!"  he charged towards sector C-3.

But before Kratos could answer, Byakuya was shot several times in the remnants of his chest by strange arrows out of the distance.  They appeared to be made of a blue light, and they burned, causing his death to accelerate.  If there were words to be exchanged, they needed to be done quickly.  Kratos, angered even more now, turned to the direction of the arrows, only to be faced with a ghost of his past.

Kazuya (C4-Night)

Kazuya didn't see the end of Kratos's battle, as he suddenly noticed something was behind him, and he immediately confronted it, only to find an... abomination, something that's disturbs the order of nature itself. With an otherworldly voice, the abomination spoke, the voice was stuck in Kazuya's head for a while.

"You, who sold his soul to demons !You, who spit into the helping hand of God !You, who stands in the way of the Thousand Year Kingdom !You, fake Messiah !There is now way you can be allowed to live.Burn in the flames of Hell !"

That words felt familiar to Kazuya.

After quickly recalling which of his enemies said those words, Kazuya concluded that the freak of nature in front of him was definitely Michael the Archangel, or something made in his image.

After congratulating himself of his conclusion, Kazuya immediately drew his sword, the fires in its surface now freely danced, bringing light into the area. If the past fight could be used as a base, this will be really easy, Kazuya thought.

Without further ado, Kazuya ordered Odin to cast Zandyne, a wind elemental spell, to Michael, while both he and Pascal launched a physical assault on it.

His sword attacks were reflected back at him as a wave of energy, which he managed to dodge. But still, the fact that Michael now reflected Hinokagutsuchi was quite a surprise for him.

Before he could fully recover from the surprise, Michael spoke once again.

"Your resistance is futile!
Your struggle is meaningless!
You, who had defied God's authority, shall face the eternal punishment of God!

Javelin Rain!"

Hundreds of heavenly arrow blocked the sky, and rained upon the area.

"Inferno of God!"

The whole are was burning in divine fire, which managed to break Kazuya (and his demons)'s Makarakarn.

Before he could order Kikuri-hime to recast Makarakarn, the area suddenly became bright, really bright. Michael opened his mouth once more.

"Fallen Grace!"

The brightly lit area turned into a nuclear wasteland in seconds, as Michael released a powerful explosion of divine might to the area.

Tenshi (C4-Night)

The ensuing chaos made Tenshi's targets all disappeared from her range, and this made her angry, really angry.

She quickly called off her attack, and flung all of her floating keystones all over the forest in frustration.

Under the Forest of the Periphery

The fight was going worse than Ed thought. His attacks weren't very effective, and the Divine member wasn't faring well either. Ed tried to remove his sword, but found it rather difficult. To make matters worse, the beast decided to roll on it's back. Desperately, Ed propelled himself with his black flames, successfully pulling out his sword, barely escaping getting crushed. He skirted along the ground before turning it into a tuck and roll. Seeing the Divine being lifted into the air then dropped, Ed got an idea. "Time for something a little more original."

Ed sheathed both his swords slammed his hand on the ground. Ice began creeping along the ground with the temperature of the coliseum lowering several degrees. An ice pillar lifted Ed and second, larger pillar lifted the incapacitated beast into the air despite the increased gravity. Ed's pillar was raising faster than the beast's and when his almost reached the ceiling, he jumped. He dissipated the pillars and removed his sword, sheath and all, from his side. The next thing to do was let the gravity do its work. "If I can cut steel, then I can cut you!" When he got close the falling monster, he drew his blade. In one swift strike, he cut the monster in half. He softened the landing by using his black flames, realizing at the last second that gravity still applied. The two halves of the beast landed with a crash, each sending  small plumes of dust.

Ayame, Under the Forest of the Periphery

With nothing to grab onto as gravity was reversed, Ayame was launched up into the air fast and slammed into the roof before gravity returned to normal. On the way back down though, her wings reappeared once more, flapping quickly to create just enough thrust to soften her fall, allowing her to land easily rather than get slammed into the floor as well. Their job done, the wings one again vanished back into her body, before she charged forward at the Lich once more. Noticing the ice that had spread through the arena, courtesy of Ed, she made use of it to charge forward quicker, reaching the Lich again quickly and using the momentum to slice through the same spot with her sword as she had with the Escape Dummy. Not sure if it may have had a chance to set up another, as her momentum took her past the Lich she aimed a second strike into the spot the original had been hiding behind the Dummy last time, again aiming at the same height as the previous strike.

Chandra, C4 Night -> B4 Night

Noticing a movement out of the corner of her eye, Chandra dived forward just in time to avoid the bolt of water that had been thrown her way. Turning quickly, she threw a pair of fireballs at the source, before scowling as she recognized the creatures coming at her. They were a standard summon in the arsenal of most blue-mana mages, Water Servant, and this wasn't just one of them but five, all coming at her through the forest. Raising her hand, Chandra summoned forth one of the more unusual creatures from her own arsenal, but probably one of the most useful in this case. Arising from the ground in front of her, the creature she'd chosen appeared, draining the mana that had been building inside her gauntlet to power it, to bring forth the creature known as Magmatic Force.

Once summoned, her creature charged the Water Servants, leaving a burning trail in it's wake and setting part of the forest on fire as it forced it's way through the trees to reach the Water Servants. The servants started to take action, as it got near, charging forward to try and wrap themselves around it's her elemental's body to extinguish the burning surface and the lava that flowed freely through it's body. Against the raging hot elemental Chandra had summoned, the Water Servants were very quickly heating up, the smoothly flowing water that comprised their body quickly turning to steam and starting to evaporate. Quicker and quicker, they vanished against the heat of the Magmatic Force, and once they were gone, Chandra dismissed her summon as well as extinguishing the forest fire, that had started in it's wake. That done, Chandra relit the branch she had been given, using it to light her way rather than calling up a flame of her own, and walked deeper back into the forest.

Arthur, MirageGaogamon, & Eria - D1(N)

Arthur froze where he stood. MirageGaogamon, after being impaled by the final act of the mysterious machine, fell down to his knees, clutching his wound. "MIRAGEGAOGAMON!" he shouted out, running as fast as he did, but the Drive spell around him had suddenly worn off. Eria reappeared behind Arthur, reaching out to him, but the young man kept rushing to Arthur. "Come on, MirageGaogamon, don't die!"

MirageGaogamon snarled as Chaos began to slowly drip from his body. "This vessel is weak… to be mortally wounded like this."

"Vessel?" Arthur asked.

MirageGaogamon laughed. "Come now, ADR-11. You must wake up."

"What are you-" Before Arthur could continue, his mind began to feel like it was burning, and it was as if gears were grinding against his skull. "What's… going on?" Wisps of darkness began to form around his right hand, spreading against the Keyblade, while red cracks began to appear along his hand. His irises briefly flashed gold, and his pupils were dilating.

"Fight her, Arthur!" Eria cried out. "I know Jeriii is trying to control you, but you can't let her win!"

The words sounded so familiar to Arthur he was saying the same thing towards MirageGaogamon when they were in LERNA's Barrier. He raised his Keyblade, but his right arm was raising slowly. "I'm trying. MirageGaogamon, please tell me you're still in there. We have to get rid of whatever's doing this to us!"

ADR-12 laughed through MirageGaogamon, but his body continued to fade away. "It is useless. Though I will die, ADR-11 will take complete control of you."

"NEVER."

Everyone, even ADR-12, was surprised by this new voice. It echoed all around them, but no one could see where it came from. However, both Arthur and ADR-12 were caught off guard while tendrils of darkness pierced through Arthur's flesh.

"Arthur Ancyl," the mysterious voiced hissed. "I have so longed to seek vengeance for all those years ago. I had thought it mine, but it seems that the months since my victory were but a temporary leisure." The tendrils lifted Arthur up, while Eria created ice stalagmites to appear, but a black gust of wind pushed her further back. "Stand aside, girl. You have served as but a distraction to me, as did your precious 'God'."

"It can't be," Arthur said. "Ogudomon?! But… you were just destroyed!"

"Not at all," the voice said, as the tendrils were revealed to be connected to an arm of darkness, which sprouted from the crater in the earth where the red shards from Ogudomon's crystal were lying. "Your friend could have scratched my DigiCore. I simply allowed it shatter completely. With it separated from my physical form, it was easy for that little machine to destroy the body I had left behind. The soul of Lucemon, and the Demon Lords absorbed into him, still yet allow me to live."

Arthur began to cough up blood. "But you're not supposed to be alive! Back then, I saw it! DreadKaiserdramon died deleting Lucemon! All of the Demon Lords were supposed to have died by that!"

From the arm of darkness, a wispy form broke through the earth. It had the eyes of Ogudomon, the green shining against Arthur. "And died they did. However, you may recall the time when you and your partner had merged with your allies, only to in turn merge with the Demon Lords, becoming MokushEternamon. After the fusion was undone, there was but one last trace of us that remained, and that trace was split between you and your partner. Your part of that trace is what attracted the Hyperborean Giant to your home once you returned there. It rested deep within your heart, longing to be reunited with its other half. But as Gaomon grew, so too did his part of the trace. Eventually, when you returned to the Digital World and reunited with Gaogamon, the pieces become one again, departing into the very air of the Digital World, seeking darkness wherever it may find it. It feasted upon the evil in the hearts of Digimon, growing in hiding, awaiting the day that it would know, beyond any doubt, that it could destroy you both once and for all. Finally, it had gathered the power. It had become me, Ogudomon."

ADR-12 commanded MirageGaogamon to stand, but as he did, his right foot had been deleted, and MirageGaogamon was forced to kneel. "Very interesting. However, you are still nothing more than an arrogant piece of data that has lived for far too long." MirageGaogamon fired a Double Crescent Mirage, but the waves merely faded as they hit Ogudomon.

"So useless. Through MirageGaogamon and Arthur, I have become immune to humans and Digimon. And through Arthur's lineage, I have prepared myself to counter the might of gods! Though that Obelisk is a very different sort of god then ones from our universe, the sins of the father carry a heavy weight to them.

"So because my father's a god, I'm to be blamed for his sins?" Arthur asked.

"It is more than that," Ogudomon continued. "Back in the Digital World, I admit that the strength of gods would have been far more effective against me. However, I have learned so much through reading your feelings, Arthur. By fighting to restore our universe, you carry the sins of your world with you. You carry the sins of your father, Apollo. You still have those feelings of hatred, don't you? You have yet to completely abandon them. You are fighting so that your divine heritage will not be erased completely. You've taken on their responsibilities, and with them, their sins. Their own hatred. Their underlying desires that you know are evil. Why fight for them?"

Arthur swung down his Keyblade, severing the tendrils, and with a Cure spell, his wounds began to heal, but he couldn't stand. "Because," he muttered. "I'm hoping that I can change things. I thought the Door of Origin would give me a shortcut, but then I realized that it was just that, a shortcut. I though I'd never be satisfied with whatever world I lived in. I thought I was just some normal kid, playing video games and not giving a damn about what would happen to him. Then I found a new world, and I became on a hero. I thought I could go back home after that, but I guess I never really had a home. It was just at lie. I couldn't handle it. The Digital World was a place I thought I could escape to, but I think, I think it was more real than anything I had ever experienced. Even still, I want to believe that I have another chance. I want to make things right. But you… You're in my way. Until now, I thought I could get to the Door of Origin, and I could either wipe you out of existence, or hope that somehow, some way, that because I'd have made it that far, that I could destroy you. But now, seeing you here, I think I can switch things around. It's not that making it to the Door of Origin means I can get rid of you once and for all. Destroying you is how I'll be able to make it to the end!"

ADR-12 looked on at Arthur and the specter of Ogudomon, now having lost his right arm and both of his legs. His eyes switched between yellow and red, as MirageGaogamon fought for control. His left hand was reaching for Arthur, Chaos slowly flowing from his hands before spilling to the ground. "Arthur" was all MirageGaogamon could say as he struggled to stay alive.

Ogudomon turned to MirageGaogamon, then back to Arthur. "It doesn't have to be like that."

"You seriously expect me to believe that?" Arthur asked.

"Look at MirageGaogamon, Arthur. He is so pathetic. He will die soon. That is, unless you accept my help."

"What help?!"

"Allowing others to lend you power is one thing, but what about a proper Biomerge? The three of us were one, for a brief moment. We can be one once again, but it would be permanent."

"What the hell could possibly make you think that I would ever seriously consider that?!"

"The alternative is allowing Jeriii to control each of you. I can protect you from her as well."

Eria continued to watch on, having taken several steps back, but Obelisk was shouting in her head. "Summon Me once more, Eria!"

"Obelisk, no!" Slifer protested. "She can't handle it!"

Eria shook her said. "I'm sorry, Slifer, but Obelisk is right. Arthur needs our help, whether he likes it or not." She held up Obelisk's card. "Come back, Obelisk!"

A pillar of light formed behind Eria, and from it, Obelisk stood proudly, looking over everyone. Ogudomon, however, laughed at this display. "I defeated him with ease. Calling upon him a second side will not aid you."

"Ogudomon!" ADR-12 called out. "I accept your offer."

"No!" MirageGaogamon said. "Neither of you shall have use for me."

Ogudomon scoffed. "I am interested that you would accept, Agent. Are you not the very antithesis of what I am?"

"Make no mistake, Ogudomon, you too will become a puppet for Mother. But I will allow you to help me continue to use this vessel."

Ogudomon's eyes raised, as if the ghost was smiling. "You are welcome to try and subjugate me." With that, the darkness flew over MirageGaogamon, spreading across the nearly-faded body of the Digimon. The shadows began to recreate MirageGaogamon's lost limbs, while the blue in his armor turned pitch black, while his cape was purple, and his empty eyes glowed red. MirageGaogamon slowly rose to his feet, howling as his body was whole again.

"ChaosMirageGaogamon!", the Digimon declared, MirageGaogamon's voice echoing with Ogudomon and ADR-12's.

Eria ran over to Arthur, moving water gently over where he was wounded to help with his healing, as they were still not completely recovered from the Cure spell. "Arthur…"

"I'm fine, Eria," Arthur told her. "But you'd probably want to run, now."

"Because of the thing controlling you?"

"Yeah."

Eria smiled. "No. I'm going to help you. We're in this together."

Arthur sighed. "I don't think I'll ever understand you." Suddenly, he screamed in pain as the skin on right his left hand began to peel away, revealing smooth, golden skin, with clawed hands. "Just run, damn it! Kill me right now, or get the rest of the Counter Corps and tell them that I've been compromised, I don't care!"

"Don't say that!"

ChaosMirageGaogamon appeared above Eria and Arthur, preparing a Double Crescent Mirage, only for Obelisk to punch the Digimon, launching him into the air. ChaosMirageGaogamon chuckled, righting himself as he fired a Full Moon Blaster, but Obelisk blocked it with his bare hand. "Stand aside, and serve yourself the embarrassment."

Obelisk's perpetual smile seemed to grin even wider. "No. You bested Me because I wished to see you suffer. Now, I think I think stand a better chance if I fight you for the sake of… friends.

ChaosMirageGaogamon laughed. "How disingenuous of you. Your pride shall be your downfall."

|_)Magical Girl Lydia(_|

Lydia massaged her temples roughly as the static haze finally lifted, the cruel grief in her head finally fading away. Her eyes cracked open, but she couldn't make out anymore than the shapes of what was happening. She blinked repeatedly as her vision returned, she became coldly aware of what happened, and who it was that just spilled out of her mouth. "Oh crap" she whispered as horrible realization settled in.

The breeze carried her swiftly to Eria, and Lydia grimaced as Arthur's, err, condition. "Eria! We have to go now!" she declared.

She tugged at the water charmer's arm, hoping to at least draw her away. Funny aside: Knowledge has many horrible truths tied to it. One particular knowledge is what happens when you willingly use Hope as an attack.

|_)Okama Queen Ivankov(_|

None of the candies had responded, but then, Ivankov hadn't focused on any particular member of the CC. That was probably a good reason, and maybe it was the numerous explosions that echoed across the forest that distracted them.

"Grrr...."

Ivankov twirled dramatically, and faced off against something odd: It was a vaguely humanoid creature, with coral just, hovering across its shoulders. I suppose I should also point out that the creature was made entirely from sea water. "My my my, what have ve here?" he purred through his copious amounts of make-up and lipstick.

The strange creature growled again as it launched a wave of itself right at Ivankov. Thankfully, in whatever form he was one graceful bastard, and he expertly danced out of the way of the wave. It was hard to tell if the growling noise from the Sea Elemental was anger, or just the crushing of tidal forces, but either way it fired again unimpeded. Ivankov once again danced out of the way, and became very aware that the Elemental was slightly shorter than it used to be. To the obvious it should be noted thta using your physical form as projectile weapons is a very stupid idea, but I suppose stupid doesn't enter into it when you're barely sentient.

The creature kept launching wave after wave of itself at Ivankov, who avoided each attack with the grace of a primedonna. Eventually, the Elemental expended itself, and whatever enchantments binding it broke as the coral armour faded away. Ivankov stroked his massive chin as he considered this little event. "vI wonder who would send such a creature after ve. That beast was certainly made of salt water, and was a liquid. My Newkama Kempo and Devil Fruit powers were useless against it. Perhaps the Divine are much more expert than Arthuria thought" he concluded before marching off to B4 Night.

Arthur, Eria, & ChaosMirageGaogamon - D1(N)

"Thanks, Lydia," Arthur said.

Eria looked at Arthur, watching as his left arm had been completely transformed, with black fins sprouting from his elbow. Eria reluctantly accepted the fact that she had to run, and followed after Lydia, as she did, she noticed Nero, lying on the ground. "Nero!" she called out, running to the Keyblade Master's side, and helping him stand up. "Come on, Nero!" Her eyes widened, realizing that someone else was missing. "Wait, didn't you go through the portal with Matthew? Where is he?"

Arthur watched as Obelisk and ChaosMirageGaogamon continued to fight, but he could the Keyblade was moving in his hand. "What's going on?" His mind was continuing to feel the pain as ADR-11 struggled to take control of him. Darkness was beginning to envelop his Keyblade, but Arthur began to turn the Keyblade, pointing it towards himself. "I will not let you use me. I'll stop you, even if it means I have to die as well." He forced his left arm to move forward, but ADR-11 kept trying to hold it back. Arthur reached out for the handle of the Keyblade, until finally, he was able to wrap his fingers around it.

Before he could do more, Arthur heard ADR-11's voice, telling him, "You wouldn't dare."

"I can still try," Arthur answered with a smile. Using all of his strength, Arthur pulled the Keyblade towards his chest, stabbing himself in the heart. As Arthur's hands fell down, the Keyblade burst into particles of light, and Arthur's body was glowing with a familiar, golden aura. He looked up at ChaosMirageGaogamon, and he could see that the Digimon that was once his partner looked down at him before continuing his battle with Obelisk. He turned around, watching Eria and Lydia help Nero up, before looking down at the ground. "Sorry, Sora. I wasn't worth it."

Arthur fell down completely, but he was not bleeding. Instead, the glowing image of a heart seemed to fly out of his body and into the sky. Eria turned to see the heart, but looked down when she found Arthur laying flat on the ground. "Arthur!"

Eria ran to Arthur, but stopped as Arthur began to stand up again. His blonde hair had turned brown, and when he turned around, Eria saw that his eyes had turned gold. Arthur laughed at Eria before looking back up at ChaosMirageGaogamon.

"I am in control now, ADR-12!" It was ADR-11 who was speaking, and he was grabbing at his own skin, peeling off more and more of his flesh. Eria summoned a torrent of water towards ADR-11, but the Agent countered her water with a stream of Chaos. "Stay out of my way, human."

Obelisk looked at Eria, but reached out towards ChaosMirageGaogamon. However, ChaosMirageGaogamon seemed to have stopped paying attention to the Egyptian God, instead diving towards ADR-11. Obelisk threw a Fist of Fate down towards them, telling Eria, "Prepare yourself, Charmer!"

Eria raised a ice barrier around Lydia, Nero, and herself, while Obelisk struck down at the Agents, but Obelisk's fist was being stopped by ChaosMirageGaogamon's claw. "Just as our hosts desired…" ChaosMirageGaogamon began.

"…We shall become one." As ADR-11 finished ChaosMirageGaogamon's sentence, Chaos began to spread beneath their feet, wrapping around their legs until it consumed both of them completely. The Chaos shifted around pushing Obelisk back, until the Chaos began to move back to slowly reveal a new being. A right hand with black armor with purple claws in the shape of sickles, followed by a black arm with purple muscles, much like Ogudomon's legs. The four segmented pauldrons of ChaosMirageGaogamon's armor were raised, while an golden crest was marked on the highest one. The left arm was nearly identical, save for a violet crest instead. Next was the creature's head, where ChaosMirageGaogamon's eyes were replaced by a single, green line, as a red mane billowed past its shoulders, on its forehead was an indigo crest. The face on the chest was now completely open, with Chaos sticking the face's fangs together, and a bright blue crest between the eyes. His thighs had the same muscular design as the arms, but his legs were guarded with golden metal, a bright green crest on the right knee, and a dark green one on the left. The leash had been replaced by a red cable, connecting to large, orange crest as large as the creature itself. From the rings on the crest, Chaos sprung forth, pushing Obelisk back with another force to make the Egyptian God stumble.

"Fusion complete," the being stated. "ADR-13: Apocrypha Type has been formed."

C4 Night

Things were certainly more lively on the side where the sun didn't shine. Butlerok witnessed the massive amount of energies that were being thrown about. Surely there were a lot of combatants un the area. In fact if Butlerok wasn't so sure of the randomness of these portal drops he would think that the entire Counter Corp was gathered in this immediate area. But that didn't matter. There was clearly a more attractive aura filling the air. Ragnarok was simply going insane with anticipation a practical frenzy of appetite. There was another shinigami on the loose. After dining on the glorious powerhouse that was Kenpachi and eating some other shinigami's bankai Ragnarok had gathered quite the taste for the creature. Butler was happy to oblige his other half with his request though.

Butlerok had made it to the fight to witness the release of another bankai and the Kishin could only lick his lips. In addition to that the brutish opponent was throwing around some amazing magic. His Alpha Stigma could not fully comprehend what was happening meaning that it was something truly unique in origin. Ragnarok was simply peeling away the inner layers of Butlerok's skull screaming in elation "WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING HERE? Food is right in front of us and you would have me starve!!!" Calm down. Can't you see that there are several entities here representing both sides. Clearly everyone is waiting for this fight to end. SCREW EVERYONE! Do we really look like people who wait for others? Do we even look like people!" Butler could only smirk at the thought.

The tri-eyed mark of the Kishin revealed itself on Butlerok's forehead. His presence could no longer be hidden. Madness simply overflowed. Everyone should be experiencing the ultimate terrors of there lives of seeing some kind of nightmare no matter how brief though. In fact Butlerok didn't care if anyone saw anything. There was no more restraint. It was time to feed. Butlerok with black demon sword in hand and Alpha Stigma active floated down from a tree branch and saw the two fighters. After closer inspection he actually recognized the shinigami. It was a very brief encounter back in the shadow realm, but it was an encounter. Butler was merely Butler at that point and nothing special other than that. How far he has come for this reunion.

Butlerok knew the shinigami as an enemy but he didn't know of the brute. Yet the brute was never present at any of the throne room meetings in Isamy's presence. This just meant that he would have to ask one question. "Gentlemen, which one of you works on behalf of the Goddess of Chaos and Entropy?"

Sector C-4, Night

There was none to be said.  Byakuya's death was a quiet, insulting one, as he was nearly shot in the head this time.  Kratos spotted the arrow from afar, and deflected it into the ground.  Frowning, he turned back to Byakuya and got down to his level.

"Who are you really?"

Byakuya said nothing, but struggled to take from his inside coat pocket, a tattered picture.  Kratos took the blood stained photo in his hands.  In the picture, there were two others besides Byakuya.  They were dressed casually, as if they had gone and visited a normal world.  One was a young girl with bright pink hair.  She smiled gleefully as she hugged a much taller man around his neck.  She sat atop his left shoulder.  The man she hugged was much older, and more mature.  His spiky hair held bells at each end, and he too wore a huge grin, smiling back at his little lady friend.  And just to their right, there stood Byakuya.  He was frowning in the picture, arms folded as he face the East.  But you could tell in that picture he was happy to be there, whether he showed it or not.  And for the first time in a long time, Byakuya now smiled.  Taking the picture back from Kratos, he slowly turned it around to view it again.

"These are my comrades," he said weakly.  "I only wonder where they are now.  Regardless, I'm sure I'll see them again some day.  Even if it means I have to put up with. . . " he struggled to talk, gasping for air and coughing.  ". . . put up with that orange haired clown.  That strawberry.  Kurosaki. . . Ichigo.  I have. . .a last request, warrior."   Kratos nodded.  "If you ever see my comrades. . . tell them I'm sorry."  Byakuya grabbed Kratos by the back of his neck, and then by his forearm.  Forcing Kratos to stab Byakuya in the heart, he died almost instantaneously.  Byakuya's head hanged low, resting against his chest.  His Zanpaktou shattered on the ground, and turned into spirit particles.  At least now, he was in no more pain.  And this death. . .it reminded Kratos so much of Athena's.

Kratos took the photo from Byakuya's lap now, and closed Byakuya's eyes.  It wasn't much of a fight.  Kratos could tell Byakuya was slowing down.  His strikes were many, but they were empty.  And something itched at Kratos' mind, telling him Byakuya was not the man he fought.  That the man he fought was someone-- something else.  They could have been allies, great partners on the field of battle.  But they were dressed as enemies, and their shadows danced in a plagued light.  Even though Kratos was finally drawing back to full strength, he felt weak that he fought a man who wasn't at his best.  Kratos placed the picture into his garments and balled a fist.  He promised himself he would never use these words again, but he said them anyway.

"I will find who did this to you, friend.  There will be vengeance."

There was another foe now.  He addressed both Byakuya and Kratos, but Byakuya was already dead.  Kratos pointed down to Byakuya as he faced Butlerok now.  "This man.  He was your comrade.  Before I had slain him, he was different in color and status.  And if your goddess is the one who controlled him," Kratos said his fist still balled.  "Then she will be the next god I kill."

C4 Night

Oh the pity...it seemed as if action was decided upon to late. But the corpse was still fresh...so too speak. There was still room to dine on a shinigami. Granted it was like a vulture picking up on a carcass but why not, power is power, and madness is definitely madness. Butlerok simply smirked as his meal was close in hand. The problem however decided to actually speak. Consuming a soul doesn't leave Butlerok defenseless, but is a very sluggish process. Something to be savored and magical. Not to be interrupted by this Gaul. What was hilarious though was that this brute vaguely reminded him of someone. Who else had this over bearing Grecian-esque pride.

"Radamanthys" he uttered with a whisper. "A slayer of Gods you say. Allow me to make further introduction...." A tidal wave of black blood shot out of Butlerok and encapsulated the God of War. The Kishin could immediately feel the density of this creatures power, but luckily harm wasn't the goal. It was simple misdirection. The Black Blood condensed into a bullet and simply shot up in the sky and then made a bee line into the distance. Its goal only known to the one who fired it.

Well that should be entertaining for a while. Butlerok looked around at all of the other dormant combatants in the area. If the Divine were smart they would take this chance to strike. Butlerok looked around and then looked down at the dying shinigami. A picture fell from the sky and Butlerok took hold of it. He noticed that this Kenpachi fellow was in the picture along with the pink haired girl he refused to eat from back then. Well two out of three isn't so bad. Are you ready to be reunited with your friend...comrade? Black blood began to encroach over Byakuya as he was about to be consumed.

B2 Day

BOOOOORRRRREEEEDDDD!! It didn't take any time for Radamanthys to clear a way to his current location. his army of random creatures only increased in size, yet he could only experience the deepest dissatisfaction. Why was no one worthy of contest appearing? Where were these Counter Corps? Where was anything? That is when he felt it. That looming feeling of madness coming from above in the distance. Radamanthys rolled his eyes in major annoyance. Were the only real challenges..his so called comrades. Depressing. The only thing was that there was something different. Absent the psycho servant was but a dot that simply floated in some clearing.

What manner of dribble-piss is this? Radamanthys waved his hand and destroyed this random ball that floated in front of him. What appeared in the wake of the destruction was merely a man. Which caused Radamanthys to tilt his head in curiosity. Really a gift from the Butler? Interesting...Perhaps a meal of sorts?
