Looking over the ledge onto the streaming water below she searched herself for a sense of remorse, but there was none. The idea of death was intoxicating as she stepped onto the dew covered hand rail. Headlights turned the corner and a bright cherry red car began to drive along the top of the dam. The woman stood on the bar with her arms stretched wide. The tires screeched as the car approached her. Out stepped a tall man, seeming desperate to save this woman's life. She didn't care anymore, nor did she want him to. She crossed her chest, wrapped her arms around her self and dove over the ledge as the man tried to reach for her. She fell deep into the water, smiling the whole way down. [hr] I wrote this one day when I was depressed and dealing with thoughts of suicide.
