If they were going to rely their next trick by using a placebo effect that is bound to be uncovered, then they've really lost their composure. Must be having a low budget after making that ridiculous cider device. I mean, anyone can smash beet leaves and apples together and call it something. :/

Still, I liked the episode.

*Sighs* Celestia damn it. I liked the Flim Flams so much, and now they've lost all credibility as characters. Just, Celestia damn it

How did they loose all credibility with you Broken? Because honestly for me the moment I saw them I kind of nodded my head and went, "Eeyup, definitely the con artist type." I know when they first appeared they weren't actually trying to con anyone, more so being legit businessponies, but they still had the air of someone who'd be willing to con you if given the change.

I can't help but shake my head at the thought of everyone in Equestria, or more so Ponyville, being so thick in the head that they'd just buy into what Flim and Flam are selling. Does NO ONE but the Apples remember what they did last time? And their claims get more and more outrageous by the minute you'd think someone would have the presence of mind to go, "Wait a minute that doesn't seem right . . ." and figure it out themselves.

Still, I liked the episode.

EDIT:

Okay never mind . . . after listening to a few reviewers and letting it settle it myself I have come up with the same views as a couple of them. This episode wasn't great, very formulaic, but not so bad as to make me hate it as much as I initially did. It's just kind of "meh" in total.

And also, nothing on the fic? Really?

I was about to say that I haven't even begun to read it, though it's still on my list of MLP Fan Fictions that I need to get too.

Know you know how I feel about no one talking about Trio of DEF II in it's respective thread (XD) Just kidding . . . just kidding . . .

Pretty much the people of Equestria are pretty dense or stupid when it comes to mob manipulation or at least lacking second thoughts. But pretty much the people they come to when they do lack that sense of trust are the Mane 6; The Twilight Time episode kinda relates to this. But if you could put it this way: Maybe these ponies conveniently were at the hospital and never heard about the first Flim Flam bros' flim flam.

The episode was okay for me to see some more Apple family and them at least being more standing out among Ponyville, but lately the common formula for these key retrieving episodes is basically: Mane 6 pony exaggerates or purports their element->antagonist or problem challenges her->succumbs to that->realizes it is wrong and has an epiphany->resolution and everything is dandy as if she would just have just refused or stick by her code and this all would never have happened.

I... can't even read that. What the hell is that even saying?

And also, nothing on the fic? Really?

I'll get along with reading it when I have the time.  Don't think I'm going to forget it.

As for the image, it says "Yer a lifesaver Reynbow Dash!"  Worst. Xenoblade/MLP-related pun I have ever seen.

I kind of was expecting for the key episodes more along the lines of what, I can't believe I'm saying this, Rarity had. Rarity actually HAD one of the best Key Episode. She wasn't personally challenged, but instead showed how her element could be abused if used the wrong way. And it wasn't so much that Rarity learned that she didn't have to be generous all the time, nope, it was instead Coco Pummel who learned that you have to be generous instead.

Rainbow Dash kind of had that going, but I would have preferred it better if she actually had to chose between to real sets of friends; possibly Ponyville and her hometown, and give Ponyville a better roster for their team. That would make her choice of who to go with that much more difficult and thus her decision, not to chose at all, much more understandable.

Fluttershy has learned in the past that you can be too kind but not to just toss said kindness out the proverbial window. So having her rehash that lesson was just making her run around in circles. Why couldn't you have her with Discord again and show that she is still trying to teach him to be nice. THAT would have worked! Discord could be shown to still be a little chaotic/mean and so Fluttershy has to teach him through a series of events, unfortunate or not, that he can't be mean all the time. Applejack also had the same problem of just relearning a lesson we know d*mn well she already knows. If you ask me the writers could have done something like the fan fiction "Scolded", where a thief is reformed by Applejack's unwavering honesty.

Just . . . not have them repeat the same lesson we have seen them learn and know they understand.

Though Pinkie Pie's Key episode was without a doubt the best. Her episode was so meta Meta Knight got jealous! And by that I mean she practically caused the problem with Cheese Sandwich, brought about him becoming a party pony in the first place, and remembered the true purpose of wanting to make people smile. But that's just Pinkie Pie for ya.

Now that we have everyone else. I wonder what we're going to do for Princess Twilight? Is she going to teach someone the value of friendship? Or is she, hopefully not, going to have to learn about friendship . . . again (B l)

And we know since seasons ago that those ponies have a herd mind.

Ha! Puns (X3)

Twilight would be around 17-19 years of age. She's somewhat older than the other ponies, but she's nothing like the age of Shining Armor or Cadence. Whatever it be, it's part of a convoluted plot of sorts. The subtlety of Flash will soon intensify, or maybe we get to see a reference to the portal again?

The Hub youtube channel posted this. Obvious AF is obvious.

Dragonfire. Totes would go see.

Yeah Broken kind of took the words right out of my mouth. Honestly I'd see it as well since that is probably the ONLY way our purple little dragon friend will ever get decent character development (XD)

Even as an April Fools Day joke that's crossing the line (XD)

Though on the topic of Apirl Fools Day jokes Digibrony got me with his video he posted earlier today. Watch it and seriously tell me he doesn't make it sound all legit.

You should start by questioning what Twilight's age actually is first. They do a very good job of being vague about ages

Actually if I had to guess each of the mane six's age it'd go as such:

Applejack & Rarity: 18-19

Twilight Sparkle & Rainbow Dash 17-18

Fluttershy: 15-16

Pinkie Pie: 14-15

Now why do I believe that you may ask? Didn't? Well I'mma explain myself anyways~! (X3)

Chiefly we have to make the age range close enough that it's conceivable they'd be friends despite their age difference.

First we know for a fact that Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie Pie; not only that but we also know that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were in the same grade for Flight School, though that's not specifically stated we can assume as such. Rainbow Dash has just recently had her birthday so she's a "year" older than Fluttershy now, though again we can't be certain if Fluttershy has or has not had her birthday yet- I'm just going to assume she hasn't to make things easier.

I made Pinkie the youngest because, well, honestly that's the way she feels to me- the youngest. Despite that she is already living on her own and what not so she isn't, obviously, a foal. So I put her at about 14-15 in age range. Just old enough to be on her own, but still young. As previously established Fluttershy is a year older so she's either 15-16, depending on what age Pinkie Pie really is.

Again, as already stated, Rainbow Dash has already had her birthday so she is either 16-17. I also put Twilight Sparkle in this range since we know Shining Armor was in High School when he met Cadence; thank you MLP Comics being a part of canon! So with a bit of math and assumptions, since Shining Armor was old enough to get married, we can assume Shining and Cadence got married in their middle-to-late twenties which makes Twilight currently around 16-17. It also puts her "in the middle" of her friends' age group which I think is an added bonus.

Applejack and Rarity are harder to pin down exact reasons why I think they're the oldest. I could argue that actually having an "official" job they preform which is not only their whole source of income but actual profession yet I can't seem to make it hold any water. To me I just feel like Applejack and Rarity are the oldest because of a gut feeling . . . like maybe because they've taken up more responsibilities that they're somehow older.

And I've rambled enough . . .

If it is anything, Pinkie Pride confirmed Rainbow Dash to be 20 or 21 if the number of candles on her birthday cake are anything to go by.

I don't think that would be entirely accurate since we don't know if there is candles on the other side of the cake, thus making her age 40 or 42. Which . . . y'know . . . is way too old for RD>

But something does seem a bit strange about how years, occupations, and age expectancy are also variables that we cannot 100% perceive. And if their world somewhat parallels to the Equestria Girls world, why would they be all stuck in High School?

That is why I have them the age I do since all of those ages are High School age. Just another feather in the proverbial hat for my theory.

The EG world obviously doesn't fit. Sunset Shimmer left Equestria when Twilight was still a filly, but could still pass as a high schooler when now-adult Twilight went there.

Yeah but you can argue she never belonged there, the world and the High School, in the first place. And I also always viewed Sunset as being in her early to mid twenties. Honestly to me she is probably 23 or 24.

Well, maybe one could consider that the Equestrian calender might be shorter than our's. I don't think they've ever said how many days there are in an Equestrian year, so maybe their 1000 years might be a bit shorter than our 1000 years. Also for emphasis, horses do mature faster than people.
