Toffee.
BULK WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.And I love how well hidden Derpy was in this episode:Joking aside, Derpy actually getting legitamite screen time was equally as amazing.
-Berserker-
Then what is considered the best story right now? I've been giving some thought about starting to review some of the fan fictions. I cannot gauge the audience anymore. For me, it seems outside the fanfic-focused part of the fandom, they all still think three seasons old stuff like My Little Dashie is the peak of pony sadfic and Cupcakes is the only... whatever Cupcakes is. Of course I have now my own favorites, including popular and unknown stories. http://youtu.be/65ASRJN9_70
Βyakuya
DASHIE X SOARIN INTENSIFIES Assuming you watched the episode prior to reading this, this was my reaction when I saw Derpy as a possible replacement for Dash: I mean literally my jaw dropped when I saw her in the flesh once again. She didn't say anything but still...yeah. Wow Hasbro. And oh yeah Bulk Biceps is now a valid and iconic character. Hooray. Anyways concerning the content of the episode, this episode turned out to be iconic just because of Derpy, but on the way loyalty is emphasized on this episode. It didn't dawn at me at first, but I've noticed once more how Dash tried getting closer to the Wonderbolts. Even though it was a tough decision for her, it's a given that her friends are more important than selfish winning. I mean she's a demigod that can fly the fastest. It's already obvious that she can make up for the slack her teammates have given, since they were the only pegasi that can represent in Ponyville. I really didn't want to see the Wonderbolts too antagonistic cause I didn't want Dash's dreams crushed, but soon...she will be one of them. She shown her own worth a million times in the series and missing out on the Cloudsdale training opportunity is really nothing. But in the end Dash made up for her loyalty and she was given some honor by the wonderbolts. And when I saw it shine like the rainbow, then this game into my mind: The same rainbow shining effect on the medals was the same after the Rarity episode with the spools...Both episodes shown the true epitomes of the Elements of Harmony...Generosity and Loyalty. Could it be that because we saw 1/3 of the Mane 6's representations of the Elements and have them manifested them as symbols.....then they are in fact keys to this?: So the fact that the Pinkie/Weird Al episode is coming in 2 weeks...she is the next one to receive a key? .................Did I get to mind blow you? Βyakuya
Remember that one time when this mare of a flying team tempted Dash to leave her friends and join them? I think they're probably an illusion created by Nightmare Moon. And I can see the Shadowbolts here have two stallions instead of one, unlike the main 3 of the Wonderbolts. Toffee.
Yea, they mentioned a while ago that Derpy would go back to being silent. And yea, that image of Patrick pretty much sums up everyone's thoughts on her appearance. Also, lets face it-We all wanted Dash to go with the Cloudsdale, just to see Derpy doing more stuff.Oh, and as far as theories on that Crate box go-5$ says when the box opens, it kicks off with this^Yes, I mentioned this before, but it's still relevant. Jake the Sage
A new super mode to sell more toys, without having all the mane characters turned into princesses. They actually look pretty good. Seriously? Because honestly there is quite a bit that I'd change. Pinkie Pie does indeed look good; I'd change nothing on her. Rainbow Dash on the other hand looks horrible with her wings like they are. Apple Jack all I'd do is remove that very annoying strip of pink in her hair and I'd be perfectly happy with her having the red streak. I don't see much change in Twilight so I'll say she's okay. Remove the blue in Fluttershy's hair as well as her wings and I'll be okay as well. Rarity on the other hand is just fine as she is.
On another note I've finished reading both 'Past Sins', 'Nightmare or Nyx', and 'Hearts Warming Eve' in that order. I have to say that I really enjoyed the stories and can see why it was even made into an actual book. That said one thing I found need looking for Nyx pictures to get giddy over came to mind . . . Who the Hell is this OC and why have I not heard of her? I've attempted to find information on her, but unfortunately lists of popular OC characters don't seem to exist! Also

I always forget that this show mostly exists to sell toys. Same with Transformers. Same with G.I. Joe too
Shradow
I just sort of dislike the pink in AJs hair, but aside from that I think it all looks great.
Lonk
I love the Super Mode on the ponies. Derpy's existence means that Hasbro no longer cares about the controversy about her and Super Mode is the true form of the Elements of Harmony. Jake the Sage
I really don't think that counts Digi. To be honest if that was all it was then they'd still have her talking in the episode, even if it was one or two lines. Her Derp eyes are just there because they've always been there. Not to mention if they DID change them the fans would have broken out into a riot. Having her back shows that Hasbro knows full well that we love her and want her around, so that is a plus. However, because they're not letting her talk means they're still airing on the side of caution. Having her there pleases the fans, with or without her talking, because it's just her presence we love, but by not having her talk in her original voice or at all keeps the whinny ass parents off of their back. Also Celestia and Luna are not immortal, throwing that out there.

Shradow
Age spells are canon, dood O,o That doesn't mean they use them. It wouldn't make much sense if the gods who control celestial bodies of the world could die of old age.
Jake the Sage
And your basis for this is...? I'll explain after - Age spells are canon, dood O,o Do you really see Celestia and Luna being so petty as to extend their rule with age regressing spells? From all evidence and even their own personality I would highly doubt it. Now why do I say they're not immortal? Well first off you have to realize there is actually THREE "types" of immortality. "Complete/Absolute Immortality", "Semi-Immortality", and "Agelessness". Absolute Immortality is generally just referred to as plain old immortality and happens to be the one that everyone thinks of when the word 'immortality' is ever said. If you are someone, or in this case somepony, who has 'Absolute Immortality' then not only can nothing ever kill you but you always remain at your prime age; in some cases it also means you can't be hurt by anything. Does Celestia and Luna have this? I'd say no. For starters we know that Celestia and Luna were born, as not only has the show's producer stated so but we've been told there was a time before their of their rule; the latter backing up the prior statement. You can say that it just didn't mean Celestia or Luna were in power, but here is a few things. One, we know unicorns moved the sun and moon. So Celestia and Luna just let the unicorns do their jobs for them? Secondly, we know all three tribes were not only about to war with each other but starving to death because of the Windegos. Like Discord messing with Equestria and King Sombra in the Crystal Empire we've seen enough times that neither are just going to sit back and let ponies suffer. What does this have to do with 'Absolute Immortality'? Well it shows that not only was there a time before either of them were alive, but it also raises the question. Is there more Alicorns out there? I can't imagine that throughout all of history in the MLP universe that Celestia and Luna are the ONLY two naturally born Alicorns. That is just mathematically impossible. So then that means there has to have been naturally born Alicorns in the past. So if the naturally born Alicorns have 'Absolute Immortality' . . . where are they? To have a properly breeding race you have to have well into the tens of thousands. So that means there should be tens of thousands of naturally born Alicorns throughout the MLP Universe. By the simple fact we don't see them and being an Alicorn kind of IS a big deal we can infer that Alicorns are indeed rare, something that would be possible if there were thousands running around. So that leads us to "Semi-Immortality". To put it simple this is immortality in the sense that nothing can kill you. Unfortunately not only does this fall into the same trap that 'Absolute Immortality' has, but it also means that the Alicorns can't be killed. They still age. A proper example would be Morgan La Fe's son in Justice League. He cannot die, but he forever ages until he's basically a living corpse. I doubt that Hasbro would be THAT dark with the two celestial princesses. The only thing left is immortality in the terms of 'Agelessness'. It should be obvious that this is immortality in the means of not aging past your prime, but still being able to be killed . . . just not by old age. Wounds, diseases, etc. can still kill a naturally born Alicorn, but Father Time can't touch them past a certain point. This type of immortality works perfectly for the Alicorn race because it gives us a way to explain any Alicorns that MUST have come before Celestia and Luna. A population of Alicorns numbering in the thousands? Quick little plague could wipe them all out, leading to knowledge of Alicorns and eventually they would become a myth. So Celestia and Luna are immortal, but not in the way everyone seems to think. They are 'Ageless', but can still be killed. Kind of adds more tension to the fact that Queen Chryssi was able to hurt Celestia, right? Well?
On another note I don't see the problem with not making the two princesses "all powerful Gods". I mean we've already seen Discord was more powerful than both of them combined without the Elements of Harmony. Does anyone complain about that!? Also I have the a lot more things figured out like where Discord was throughout the centuries and the timeline of Equestria.
Shradow
I've always thought of them as the ageless kind of mortality (Lordgenome in TTGL comes to mind, as an example). Like you said, we did see Queen Chrysalis overpower her once, after all. We're simply agreeing with each other, it seems.

Like you said, we did see Queen Chrysalis overpower her once, after all. Well some fans always seem to place them on top of a pedestal as Demi-Gods or just plain old Gods. I never thought that which is why I began hammering out details like the timeline, Alicorn Immortality, Unicorn Magic, and what not.
Shradow
Now, they are powerful, no doubt. Though whether that's just an Alicorn thing, or has to do with their hundreds/thousands of years of experience, or maybe something else (such as previous contact with the Elements), I have no idea. Jake the Sage
If you ask me there is a few things that make Celestia and Luna powerful. One they are Alicorns, which has already been shown to be powerful. Despite that we've never seen Twilight nor Cadence move the sun, much less both the sun and the moon like Celestia has, so I take it that being a naturally born Alicorn gives you an advantage. Now does that advantage stem from more natural magic than another Alicorn or does it mean that because they are so long lived they've been able to learn how to do things more efficiently? I think a bit of both plays into their power. After all there is knowledge in power. Despite this we know they CAN be overpowered. Hell! Discord was able to take complete control of both the sun AND the moon when he escaped the second time. If Celestia and Luna have complete control over over the sun and the moon, respectively, then couldn't they have made Discord unable to effect the heavenly bodies they command? We also know two things about Discord's power in comparison to the Celestial Princesses; three counting what I've already said. One, his magic affects them. In Princess Twilight Sparkle we see that Discord was able to take Celestia's tale away. So his magic affects her. "But wait! That doesn't mean he's more powerful than them!" Could be true . . . could be true. But you forget the second piece of evidence! We see by the fact that Celestia and Luna are scuffed up that they had to go through a lot to get to the Elements of Harmony. So why did they have to go get the Elements of Harmony in the first place? Because they couldn't beat Discord without them. By that simple fact it speaks volumes about the difference in power between the three. Celestia and Luna, together, couldn't beat Discord without the Elements of Harmony. Discord, on the other hand, was able to affect Celestia (and we can assume Luna as well) with his magic. That either means he is more powerful than them, evidence further proven that he controlled the sun and moon during his Chaos Capital stick, or that his powers affect the princesses while theirs' do not affect him.
