Lonk
Yeah......no. I don't think 18+ MLP art would be good for this club.
Βyakuya
A wizard did it. So, just wondering, I came across a subreddit all about kind of "adult" stuff. Just kind of 18+ humor more or less. So, let's call a vote for this. Should I start posting it in spoilers? Bad idea. Not Safe For Woona pics go to Rule 34 websites and it's already been said that spoilers don't really work. It wouldn't look good on this club as well. Grunt Issun
Wasn't allowed in the last club, probably not allowed on this site, really think that's a bad plan.

Lonk
I didn't think we had a reputation with moderators 0_0 Anyways, since it is unanimously agreed upon that we will have no 18+ media in this club, how about we change back to the topic of ponification? It's universally agreed upon that if it exists, then there is a pony of it. So... what are the better forms of ponification done?
Grunt Issun
I'm generally not a big fan of Ponification where there's no connections to be drawn whatsoever. I mean, it CAN be done, and sometimes it's even done well, but not all that commonly. The thing that annoys me most when people ponify humans is that they make the coat the color of skin. That's really missing the whole point of making a pony-version of something in the first place, in my opinion. For example, I once saw a ponified Edward Elric, who had the skin colored coat, and was wearing the red jacket as usual. Really, though, I thought it would've made more sense to just make his coat red in the first place.
Lonk
I agree. Blonde and Red are a good combination of colors to use, and ponification does get annoying, especially if done wrong. But, if it is done right and there are connections, then I grow to love them.
Shradow
I like ponification as long as it's done well. Art style is a big thing in my eyes when dealing with this sort of thing.
Bull3tM0nk3y
It's not NSFW. It talks about it. But it is not disgusting things like clop art.
Grunt Issun
Yeah, art style can be a pretty big thing for me too. I mean, most things can turn out well if they're done right, but a lot of things just really DON'T need to be ponified, and have no reason to have been. Toffee.
Usually if its the later reason, Issun, people are just trolling.I mean, lets be honest; Gabe Newell never looks good as a pony. It's funny, yes, but on a serious level it just looks weird. The fact he wore a horse-head mask is irrelevant, because that's a different subject. Grunt Issun
There HAVE been a lot where they aren't jokes, at least not obvious like with Gabe Newell, though. At least some of them look good, even if they don't make any sense.
-Berserker-
I would like to see a ponyfication of Apollo, from Saint Seiya. Just because I want to see how similar they make him to Celestia. He's a god, so he would probably be an alicorn. He's the Eternal Sun too. He wears mostly white, so that would probably be his fur color. He already has the tiara and the torc. He has an always flowing hair too. http://youtu.be/xS1cZ3TEGhE And speaking of adult stuff, no one commented the link I left the other day, to a blog of a page dedicated to erotic cosplay, that announced they would make their first movie, and it would be of My Little Pony. Lonk
Really, for me, a good ponification doesn't HAVE to have connections to ponies, but having it is a plus. But a good ponification has to have what represents the character in canonical terms of personality, and that can be showed with how they are posed and positioned. Take for example, this Captain Falcon ponification. Is Falcon connected to ponies in any way? Not really. However, is how he is ponified remain true to how you imagine Captain Falcon to be? Absolutely. A bad ponification is one that is just done on a whim without any of the personality of said character being in that ponified character. An example for this would be this particular ponification of Dimentio. There is honestly no way you would know that was Dimentio, even if it has the proper color scheme. He isn't positioned in a way that shows Dimentio's insanity or deep cunning. It's just... lifeless. Yes, someone made a better ponification of Dimentio, but this particular example stands out in terms of how badly it was handled. So while there are characters that don't need to be ponified, ponification allows us to see how that character would better interact with the MLP universe, and we would also be able to see their traits in a different view. I believe that this is the best reason and excuse to ponify something, as long as it is done right.
Grunt Issun
Yeah, I can see what you mean. Quite interesting how simple still images can convey personality and life like that, isn't it?

If it's just dirty jokes, then I guess it's up to Shradow, but if it's full on NSFW involving actual nude parts, then save that shit for the PMs and skype chats specifically mine. And as ponifications, I don't mind them, but I do think that there is such thing as going overboard.

Susie
Sounds good to me. And skype? That was just a joke, but okay. I'd give you my skype but the only problem is that my laptop is broken, and I don't wanna install skype on other people's computers, I'd do it on my ancient mac, but it's old and really slow and I don't wanna mess it up more. Susie
Anyone else seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqVVtaWd8Pw It's... interesting. It's pretty much the Ask Hotblooded Pinkie Pie blog, but gorier and a tad creepy. It's pretty much some generic shameless grimdark blood and gore fest, not my kind of thing. I presonally like the more "artistic" side of grimdark that's very melancholy and at sometimes abstract. The blood-filled shock fest stuff doesn't have it's appeal for me, though there are expections, specifically the ones that don't go overboard in the way that Cupcakes, Sweet Apple Massacre, and that Smile video do.
