I need some more anime to watch related to what I've watched, any ideas?

Recommended Posts

I need some anime related to the following (These are my top 10):

1. Sword Art Online

2. Yu Yu Hakusho

3. Death Note

4. Bakuman

5. Dragon Ball Z

6. Rosario+Vampire

7. Naruto Shippuden

8. Bleach

9. Naruto

10. Shuffle!

Other things you need to know-

1. Nothing as sad or anything with animal abuse like "Elfen Lied", I get way too sad at that kinda stuff, but something at least drama-like would be great.

2. I'm watching the following anime already: "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" (I'm on episode 3), "A Certain Scientific

Railgun" (I'm on episode 15), "Soul Eater" (I'm on episode 8), and "Steins;Gate" (I'm on episode 2) (I haven't watched it in like two months).

3. I would love an anime similiar to "Sword Art Online". But, I don't think I'd like "Accel World", although I haven't tried it yet.

4. I will except anything that doesn't violate #1.

5. Have fun giving me suggestions!
I saw 15 episodes, and I didn't really like it, but "Brotherhood" has, in my opinion, a much better start to it.
The first half of FMA isn't as good as Brotherhood's first half, but the second half is unparalleled.

One Piece.

I'm sorry, but that show was so stupid! I watched about 100-150 episodes when I was like eight years old, never thought it was any good at all. Does it get any better? If yes, I might try it.

Some more for ya:

Black Cat

Black Butler

Darker than Black

Darker than Black 2

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit

I didn't know that there were two "Darker than Black's"! Oh, and what is "Black Butler" like, because I've heard it's good, but I know nothing about it.

Literally every popular shonen anime.

Also, I'm trying to get more unpopular, but still good anime, like "A Certain Scientific Railgun".

Yup, there's the first series, which is about a 3.5/5 IMO and then there's Gemini of the Meteor, which is one of the best anime I've ever seen, easily clocking in at a 4.5/5.

Black Butler is gothic and dark in theme, and features one of the coolest anime characters EVAR.  However, I felt like they could have done more with the characters and that some of the writing made itself look silly in order to seem dark.  Still a very good show though, getting a 4/5 from me.

I'm gonna stop you right there, my friend. And yes, it does get better, a whole lot better. What you saw when you were younger was probably the 4kids dub which was just an abomination, to put it simply. Another reason that might've turned you off was that the show is really drawn out and slow to do things, which was the reason I skipped the first chunk and went right to where things really got started. Also, the last 100 or so episodes was the Alabasta arc which was one of the best arcs in the series.

Seriously, One Piece is a lot better than what people make it out to be, just gotta give it a chance.

Cowboy Bebop the best anime ever in my opinion. Really Just an amazing anime. One Piece is also a very good anime as well.  I know that no one here has probably heard of this but you may like the anime "Slayers" also. Lupin the 3rd and Case Closed are both awesome if you like a little bit of action mixed in with a whole lot of mystery.  "Trigun" would also seem like something you like judging by what you have posted already. Maybe give death note a try, Its not super action-oriented but the idea of the anime is just eerie and I like eerie stuff lol. I know i'm kind of ranting here but when it comes to shonen anime and what not I feel the need to post about it. HunterxHunter is also a nice anime action/adventure filled. Oh and other anime you may really like (I know I loved it) is Inuyasha. Have fun bro hope you really like all the animes suggested to you here by myself and others,

Fine, I'll give it a try.

Kore wa Zombie desu ka?/Is this a Zombie? - harem/ecchi/comedy/action

[C]: Control - The Money of Soul and Possibility - action with a real cool theme

I'd recommend Higurashi because it has amazing characters and plot, but it gets a tad depressing sometimes... and bloody

Only going to mention stuff I've watched:

Code Geass as mentioned before. You'd probably really like it, it's one of those super-popular things and has everything from a really smart and twisted main character who believes the ends justifies the means like Death Note to vengeance, saving the world and freaking taking over the world (in what other anime does the main character try to take over the world?). But, there's also mecha action and extremely dramatic craziness, the latter being the main drive of the show, that Death Note lacks. Lelouch is the most badass character of all time.

I also agree that you'd probably enjoy Kuroshitsuji. Ciel is one of those badass lead characters like Lelouch despite being only a twelve or thirteen year old boy and Sebastian is just as awesome, he's just plain cool.

You really should finish Steins;Gate, it gets really awesome, though sad during the second half. First half is pretty much pure exposition.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is a fun show and its getting a second season. In addition to its good story and characters, it has good art and humor here and there.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Black Butler manga (since the anime is meh at best)
Rosario + Vampire manga (since the anime is a comedy harem fanservice show, while the manga goes into badass action)

Also, I'm glad you're watching Steins;Gate, nothing has ever put me on the edge of my seat more than that anime, it's amazing.

If you have the stomach for it, Gungrave.

So good, but so sad. TT^TT

Sorry my man didn't see Death Note earlier. It's a great series albeit a bit short (compared to many other shonen manga). I know this suggestion may be out of your realm of comfort but have you ever thought of watching fruits basket? I thought I wouldn't like it when I first watched it, but then I was hooked lol. Code geass, Ghost in the shell, Gundam are also awesome if you like futuristic anime. Just try to watch cowboy bebop though. IMO best anime ever made. It is also a very short series.

When you're done with Railgun: A Certain Magical Index.
Well, you don't have to be done, I just don't think watching them at the same time makes a whole lot of sense. Especially with Railgun S. You should probably watch Index before you watch Railgun's second season (which is still airing), then wait a bit since some parts (although very few) are gonna be ridiculously similar.

If you want something really unpopular, literally no one seems to be talking about The Unlimited - Hyoubu Kyousuke now that it's finished airing, but I loved it. And if you like it enough, maybe you might like it's predecessor, Zettai Karen Children, though I should note that from what I hear Kyousuke is the darker and edgier one, I've been planning to start on ZKC today myself.

I'd recommend Hayate myself, but even though I watched it when I was pretty inexperienced, it's a very hardcore anime/manga parody, especially the first season, so unsure about that.

Maybe Kingdom as well, if you can get through the beginning's very bad CG, it eases the use and shifts to a much better art style in the second season. Still find to be very good despite that one problem.
