You know, guys, I'd like to end Arc 3 before Page 35, and then begin it at the top of the next page, so~ anyway, I'll prepare my post now.

 

By the way, I edited my post for ya, FFR. Meteors were obliterated and LERNA is immune to X-Zone (why you even thought it would work in her barrier, I have no idea), but the orbs of light did hit and shaved off another 20 HP.

 

@Bailas: Accepted :D though your characters won't be able to come in until Arc 3, of course.

Sure, that works for me. However, just to make sure we're on the same page, Xansvita is currently fighting Ra in Betwixt and Between, while the Trinity Armor did prevent Tsunugai from entering the Corridor, I take it?

...Reasons? For why X-Zone doesn't work, you mean? Because it's a form of interdimensional travel, and because of that, it's completely harmless. And if you were aiming to teleport LERNA, well, I would say that since this is her world and her barrier, it won't allow distortions of such an extent to affect her.

Changed my mind, since you guys are far more active than I expected ;) instead, I'll simply make this thread and the IC thread the longest that YCM RPing history has ever seen since the inclusion of the Advanced Clause. Should be fun fun fun~

Samhain, I'm actually using Iron Imprisoner IV. Don't worry, I'm not asking you to rewrite your whole post, just change the Iron Imprisoner's attack to be the rough equivalents of what the fourth form could do.

I know this is a fancy, cool description, but when I tell you to describe your powers, I don't mean so that they appear cool. I mean so that people know what to expect from it, and 'supernova' is definitely not a magical term.

 

Let me explain. Our sun (also a star) is literally a million times larger than Earth, and guess what? It's too small to go supernova. I think that gives you an idea of just how powerful a real supernova would be. It's probably enough to fry twelve Jupiters, as well as any unlucky planets caught within.

 

Now, since I don't allow planetbusting, I'm sure that this is just a really really hot stream of fire, but please don't say 'supernova', because I don't think you understand what that means. Can you edit this? Thanks. After that, and once you have access to your laptop to post your fanfic, I'll be able to accept this character.

As the other person who has a sun-themed character, I can say that this ability is totally overpowered.

TEN SUPERNOVAS?!?

In one single second, our star, nowhere close to supernova levels, creates enough energy to suffice our current civilization's power needs for the next 500,000 years.

In other words, that amount of energy is 400 sextillion (don't you DARE chuckle) joules (J), or 4x10^26 J.

A Supernova produces 100 foe upon detonation.

A foe is about 10^44 J.

And this attack unleashes the strength of TEN of these.

Does this put things into perspective?

Yea, I can. I was meaning for that attack to be kinda really powerful in exchange for making my character basically unusable for a while. Would it work if it said "felt like the force of 10 supernovas within the sphere going off at once"? It's not as destructive as 10 Supernovas (as in destroying the whole Solar System) but still be quite powerful.

 

It also has to do with that he's not only the Warrior of the Sun but the Stars also. Half of his attacks are based on Stars and the other half is the Sun, Light and Hope.

After all, he's just unleashing an attack that, in terms of power output, is measured by a number that starts with 1, and then HAS FORTY-EIGHT ZEROS AFTER IT.

These figures are LITERALLY ASTRONOMICAL.

Are you getting the SHEER F**KING MAGNITUDE of this attack you are proposing?!?

I'm pretty sure almost not one player character is that strong.

Unusable doesn't matter when you can take out the whole field easily.

Alright, guys, calm down. Megaman, I really don't think you understand the scale of a supernova, our universe, or just how large the planet you're living on really is, so can you just edit it to say 'powerful enough to incinerate a fortress/mountain/etc.' or something more acceptable like that?

 

Even if it's only one time, you'll destroy whatever world we're on in a second with a 'ten supernovas' attack.

Haha, thanks~ it's all leading up to LERNA's ultimate defeat, and considering the (highly unnecessary) trouble you guys went through to beat her, it's only fair. And you know what? This is only the FIRST boss battle. I'm not sure how I'm going to top this with the next two ones yet, though I do have some idea.

First off, just because something could be extremely OP doesn't mean it is. There is the thing that he has a code and isn't interested in killing anyone. (He didn't even kill his arch-enemy when he had a chance.)

 

@Merciful - I'm thinking what the attack would do is simulate the power of 10 Supernovas, but the target ( if living) will survive, But beat up badly because Apollon doesn't want to kill people. And the attack is only effective against one single target to end the battle. (Some characters that will push on even beyond that will survive and can fight but it would hurt a lot too)

I do know what the power is of 10 supernovas (or just one) but remember this is limited to one enemy. It's not going to destroy planets, it simulates what it's like to be hit by 10 supernovas but surviving.

 

Please just give up. You really don't understand science, and you shouldn't try to if your character is magical-themed like a Green Lantern.

 

It doesn't matter if it's limited to anything. The thing is, if you have something as small as a football, with the heat of ten supernovas, then that football would heat up the air around it and potentially burn the entire planet's atmosphere. It's like how a fire warms things around it up (a fire is extremely cold when compared to ten supernovas, but if you put your hand in it...well, you know), only this fire is very, very, hot.

Look. In the heat of ten supernovas, solids. Cannot. Exist. Do you know what our sun is made of? Is it like a huge rock on fire? No, it's made up of the burning gases helium and and hydrogen, and anything that comes 'close' (like a little closer than Mercury) will be incinerated. Now magnify that by about ten times, then a hundred times, then a thousand times, then a million times, and now you're close to understanding what it's like.

Potential. Just, potential. I don't care about the character's personality, because it's not a factor in power-leveling. Just get rid of it. It's too powerful. Maybe a beam of condensed heat, enough to incinerate a mountain, but please just don't get anywhere near supernovas. Please please please.

It wouldn't exactly heat it up. I may change it from being "10 Supernova's", but the attack is meant to be strong like the namesake and be his ultimate battle-ender attack for him in his Apollo-Re form. I'll work on a better way to word like how I'm thinking it would be.

 

Alright, thank you. Since this is only 'one opponent', maybe you could make it a mental attack instead, so it directly attacks the other person's mind without damaging the environment or anything else. Also, if the person has a strong enough will, they can resist it.

 

If you've watched the Yu-Gi-Oh! Series where Yami Marik mentally burns Joey with Ra's super-hot flames, a bit like that. If you don't get it, google "Yu-Gi-Oh! Episode 128 sub" or "dub" and watch it online~

 

LERNA's defeat will be awesome I assure you. Merc, I'll make my post after work, which will be in about 7 & 1/2 hours from now

 

YAY :D make it as long as awesome as possible, so that it isn't anticlimactic or anything, alright~?
