Here is my first app

Name: Adriel

Age: in the late thousands, psychically and mentally between 19-22 

Gender: naturally sexless, material form is male

Appearance:  His material form looks like a pale,silver-eyed man between 19 and 22 with short white hair. He usually wears gold-and-white angelic armor under a dark grey hoodie and jeans. When not hiding his angelic identity, his grey wings are usually visible.

Biography: Adriel is an angel of Heaven, and came into creation not long before the first War in Heaven. Choosing the side of God, he valiantly fought against Lucifer's army, earning a reputation as a powerful warrior. For his dedication despite his young age, he was placed on Earth to guard the Garden of Eden for millenia, then he became a Watcher, a guardian angel, a position that left him cynical.

 

Requesting a transfer back to Earth, he spent time working as an exorcist to help gain information on the coming Armageddon. Working with the sweet and bubbly Watcher Arael, they had been working to stop the demon's Infernal Council from reviving Lucifer and bringing about the End Times. Battling the demon Princes Mammon and Beelzebub, everything was going so well, and when Lucifer finally rose, Adriel and Arael were prepared to lead a charge on the demon's base...

 

But the help never came. St Peter's Key vanished, all portals between Heaven and Earth closed, and Heaven's forces could not enter Earth. Lucifer personally killed Arael and kept Adriel alive just so he could see Lucifer bring about the End Times: fusing Hell and Earth to create the Kingdom of Sheol, were the souls of the lost and damned were forced to roam, and not even righteous souls could escape. Adriel escaped and Emiya appeared, informing him that this reality was wrong, and that St. Peter's Key was stolen by extra-dimensional means, and that the Counter Corps offered a chance of setting things right. Adriel accepted.

 

Personality: Adriel is a somber, serious person. Centuries of watching life on Earth has hardened him emotionally, leaving him cynical and a bit cold. His views on God border on maltheism, as he finds pain and suffering incredibly disturbing. However, he is a kind, helpful person, dedicated to helping anyone he comes across, even at his own cost. Though slow to warm up to, once befriended Adriel is a very loyal and protective ally. Adriel's faith is shaky at best, and should he lose it completely, he will cease to exist.

Faction: Counter Corps (he's quite offended that the villains call themselves Divine)

Important Artifact Stolen: St. Peter's Key, without it no soul can enter Heaven and the Ladders (portals between Heaven and Earth that angels use) are closed off.

 

Powers/Equipment

Angelic body: Adriel's material body acts like a superhuman (extra strength,speed, stamina, durability, healing factor) with a few differences. Adriel does not need to eat or breathe, angels are entirely self-sufficient. While difficult, Adriel can be wounded, and should his head or heart be destroyed, he will die. He is also vulnerable to an enemy who attacks auras or energy fields, which Adriel's true form practically is. His blood, which is golden, has healing properties. His wings provide him flight and protection (they are resistant to all man-made weapons, but are vulnerable to magic). He can also glow slightly, but the light isn't bright enough to cause any damage, it really only helps to look intimidating or provide lighting.

Swordsmanship: An excellent swordsman, he wields a flaming sword named Lux which can refelct light-based attacks.

Salting: His greatest and most terrible ability is salting-he can turn someone into a pillar of salt, but the process is slow and drains him of energy, and the soul will remain in agony within the salt until freed by another angel, so he is hesitant to use it.

Name: Mammon

Age: Thousands of years, host body between mid 30s-early 40s

Gender: Sexless, host body male

Appearance:  Mammon wears the body of an aged, overweight man in a pine green suit with dark, slicked-back hair. His eyes have been cut-out, replaced by a ruby and a pearl, rendering him conventionally blind. The skin on his face and fingers have torn away, revealing golden skin and copper blood, which also leaks from his mouth.

Biography: The personification of greed, Mammon is a Prince of Hell, who tempts men with riches. Using his current host, he closely served under Lucifer, and wanted more. After a battle with Adriel, Isamy came to him and promised him whatever he wanted for his loyalty. He agreed without hesitation.

Personality: Mammon is completely self-centered, caring only for what he can get out of someone, although he comes off as creepily polite as long as it suits him. He is a skilled manipulator and his literal silver tongue can bring almost anyone under his sway. A coward, he will cut and run if he thinks he can get away with it.

 

Faction: Divine

 

Powers/Equipment: Mammon possesses above average strength and stamina, but isn’t very fast. As his skin is becoming gold, his body is very brittle. His lacks eyes, but has a sixth sense that allows him to avoid surprise. He has magnetism-like abilities that can pull in precious metals, jewels and magical objects, of which he can quickly make use of. He can also eat said metals or artifacts, partially digest them and then fire them as a stream of molten metal from his mouth. He is a master at persuasion and mathematician, making him a great planner and behind-the-scenes kind of villain. However, a skilled exorcist can pull him out of his body and any holy items (crucifixes, holy water, salt) can incapacitate or wound him.

Arthur didn't really fight Barbamon specifically, but I imagine he won't like having to work with the actual personification of greed. Come to think of it, who among the Divine would Arthur get along with? Besides MachGaogamon, of course.

Alister Azimuth, perhaps?  I mean, he can be a bit senile at times, but he's not exactly the "evil" type, more like a well-intentioned extremist.

@TFfan1: Both accepted~! Neither of them seem to be overpowered, although you probably should limit Adriel's 'salting' ability a bit.

 

@Admiral: Riley's accepted. ^_^ It might be fun having a ghoul.

 

@PikMan: Well... I plan on starting this RP during a time when the majority of the players should be asleep (around past midnight, their time). That way, it can start slow and nobody has to wake up to an IC thread with tons of pages.

Anyway, I considered making a tier list, but due to the rock-paper-scissors-laser nature of this RP and the large amount of apps, that apparently proved to be difficult.

 

But just in case anyone's curious and they're concerned about how they might perform - Sora, Sephiroth, Jecht, and Jin Akatsuki are in the top tier, while MachGaogamon, Itsu Fudo, Gin Furuwuka, and Sarah Freon have the potential to get there.

 

On the other hand, Cody Renner is all alone at the bottom tier, a little way below Arthur Ancyl, Matt Mercer, and Schwartz Bruder.

 

Melvin, Professor Stein, Mephala, and Sheogorath are unrankable for obvious reasons.

 

Everyone else who isn't listed can relax. While there are still imbalances and there's the chance for them to easily lose against another in a rock-paper-scissors battle, their skill-sets are alright.

I was going to sign-up as Sesshomaru originally for this Role Play but decided against that idea. He is quite the power house, however.

Sweet, two of my characters are in the higher tiers. Not surprised Arthur is as low as he is, since that was the point of my massive changes to his character. So I take it Eria is somewhere in the middle, then? Works for me.
