I've had this debate with a few other people.

Assuming Yugi can actually summon his monsters (excluding Egyptian Gods, Legendary Dragons, etc.) and use the powers of his Spells and Traps and Cell is in his 1st Form and cannot absorb the androids, who would win?

Although I personally see this as Yugi's favor, I think Cell would win.

I would imagine Cell would get trashed and Yami would revert back to Yugi, not aware of Cell's regeneration. Cell pulls off a sneak attack and wins.

I...

What?

Atem would try his card game shenanigans and Cell would just kill him with a ki blast, what competition could there possibly be?

Things like Mirror Force and Swords of Revealing Light

Things like Mirror Force and Swords of Revealing Light are trading cards.

Cell is a living, breathing people murderer.

Actually summon his monsters, as in flesh and blood, and use the powers of his spells in traps for real

Like a Shadow Game

Ah, I misunderstood. By "can actually summon his monsters" in the OP I thought you meant "had the chance to summon his monsters" not "could physically bring monsters to life".

Which still wouldn't help in the slightest. Cell is planet-destroying strong, I doubt even Exodia could hurt him that much.

If there's one thing Babidi taught us, it's that DBZ characters are vulnerable to magic.

I can tell this will go on for a while

He very easily enslaved strong fighters from all sorts of planets. Even the Demon King himself. And Vegeta... but he let himself be controlled

My point is, it's not like Cell's going to emerge unharmed from things like Mystic Box or Magical Cylinder.

I don't mean mind enslavement, I mean that Magic and Traps can hurt him. The way I'm thinking how Yugi would work is like they did in that game world were they just summon the monsters and things through the cards, not requiring them to lay them. Things like Spellbinding Circle would even weaken him. Traps are activated mostly by being attacked, and since Cell would obviously be on the offensive he would receive a lot. Also there is the matter of quick play spells and such.

If things are still being summoned through cards, even if they don't have to be physically placed, then that gives Cell more than enough time to kill Atem before he can utter a word or make any sort of gesture.j

Atem would have to do something faster than is humanly possible (since Atem is human) to even have a chance at avoiding instant death.

Alright

One on one they both wanna kill each other

I used those conditions because obviously Cell would destroy him

How about using these conditions

Strength

Defense

Speed

Power Augmentation

Misc. Abilities

Strength goes to Cell

Defense I give to Yugi due to all of his magic and traps. Cell's pretty cocky.

Speed is Cell

Power Augmentation goes to Cell, he would probably absorb Yugi's monsters as well as the Saiyan DNA that brings him back from near death loads stronger

Misc. Abilities I would give to Yugi due to his Shadow Games from Season 0 and his Heart of the Cards stuff. Cell can fly and use things like Solar Flare and he can regenerate. However that wouldn't help if it's his mind being attacked

Cell 3

Yugi 2

For him to use the "heart of the cards", that would imply he's legitimately drawing cards. Am I the only one confused as to why that would actually be a plausible scenario?

He'd win if he had all cards at once due to Exodia. Auto Wins are still Auto Wins. So drawing is actually necessary plus it makes more since if he draw cause that how it works in the manga and show.

Well yeah, it's not like he's gonna hold a deck of 40+ cards in one hand
