[Finished]Bedtime Contest?
No. Not that kind of bedtime. Allow me to remind you that this is a children's card game forum and as much as you wish, we simply cannot that kind of stuff here.

I am referring to stories, you know, like bedtime stories. Create 1 to 10 cards with good flavour and a story while at the same time being balanced and playable. They do not have to work in conjunction with each other, but they will be all be taken into consideration when I mark on balance. Written cards are acceptable, however, then, you must include a description as to what you imagine the card's picture to be like.
ENTRY FEE: 10 points, I don't even know why, I easily have enough points to fund this contest...
RULES

I want to ask before deciding to join or not, does the number of cards created help the total points you recieve or you will simply take the score from the highest card a person posts.

ex. Lets say Kyng gives 4 cards, 1 of which manages to reach a 9.4/10 on your scoreboard and the rest somewhere around 8. Will his score be that of the 9.4, or the sum of all his cards? (Basically, does quantity help your final score)

No, I'm going to average them out.

What do you mean by bedtime story? Just a well-known fairytale or does it have to be something we create ourselves? Anyway I think this is going to be where I end my long break from card-making, I'll confirm my entry once my question is answered.

Nah, just any story.
One day there was a mighty hush in the village. Haru left his household and wandered about, finding that there was yet life in the village. A void filled him, a bad feeling, as if something was amiss. He peered through the townpeople's windows, and saw nothing but peaceful rest. Odd, he thought, as the village usually buzzes with life at such an hour, him usually being the last to rise. He returned home, deciding to wake his sleeping wife, seeing a chance to nag her for her late rising as she always did him. He hurried home, and attempted to wake the beauty, yet she did not stir. He picked her out of bed, but holding her wasn't like it usually was. She wouldn't wake. He placed her back in bed and ran out into the village commons. He screamed for a meaning to this. Only then did it appear... a towering fiend, gleaming in the late morning light an array of different colors. Haru stood his ground, already geared for battle as he was every morning for his duty, as he was a reknown soldier and sole guardian of the village. "Odd" booomed the being, eyeing Haru with a seemingly confused glare. "Fall into slumber like your peers, soldier, and you will not have to suffer the consequences." Haru was intimidated by this being, but stood his ground none the less. "I refuse." The Fiend considered the human, and spoke once more. "Do you not know why I am here? Do you not know who I am?" Haru studied the demon once more. "Nothing but a threat that needs to be slain." The fiend was unamused. "I am the void that fills your town. I am the image you wish to not have when succumbing to darkness. I am the entity of fears. I AM THE ONE WHO WILL SLAY YOU, AND ALL YOU TREASURE, FOR I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF NIGHTMARES!" the demon responded in a fit of rage. "We'll see about that," Haru responded in a killer calm, readying his weapon for the fight. You could see the determination in his eyes, the will to protect, the duty to slay for the greater good. He was phased by the demons words, but you could see he had the iron will to not cower because of them. The words didn't do to harm his odds more then they did to strengthen him. "Die, mortal!" the demon boomed. Haru charged, dodging the demons multi-colored blasts before leaping into the air.  "You say that as if you are immortal!" Haru let out, shortly before plunging his blade into the demons core. That day was the day nightmares ceased. Haru was celebrated as legend, gifts were given and a feast was had in his honor.

erEZwzS.jpg
This card can only be activated when an opponent's Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Warrior monster attacks. That monster loses ATK equivalent to its DEF. If the attacking monster is then destroyed as a result of battle, the opponent loses Life Points equivalent to the monster's DEF.

pFI660h.jpg

Since there's only 4 people, mind if I join? I'll donate shortly and have my entry up by today.

EDIT:

Here's my entry which is related to the book "Goodnight Moon".
U4m5ZtP.jpg

This card can only be activated during your Main Phase 1. When a Spell, Trap, or monster effect is activated: destroy this card. During the End Phase of the turn you activate this card: draw 2 cards. You can only control 1 "Imminent Sunrise".
And if you don't remember the story, I found a short animated video of the whole thing.
The artwork I used in my card is supposed to be the mouse at the end of the story.

 • 2 weeks later...

Mmm... whatever... only 3 people... grumble, grumble...

Therrion wins, though I don't really approve of an improved Photon Thrasher, but I do like the flavor on these cards.

Imminent Surprise is a buffed up version of Cardcar that doesn't eat up your Normal Summon. Do not want.

My intention was for only one story, but w/e, Hansel and Gretel are not worth the effort to Tribute Summon, Big Bad Wolf is too situational and not worth siding either, Maleficent Dragon is a hard-to-pull-off -2 (or -1 with that Normal Monster Ritual Spell) for a beatstick that is immune to Mirror Force and Dark Hole and the Sky is Falling is far too unlikely to go off, much less on something you want.
