How to make an American Breakfast.

Step 1: Pour cereal in bowl

Step 2 (optional for some): Pour milk

Step 3: Eat

Step 4: F*ck b*tches

My life in a nutshell... minus step 4.

Also, Pop Tarts.

Step 1. Insert Pop tarts 2 in toaster/Microwave.

Step 2. When it's finished, put bacon on one of them and put the other one on top.

Step 3. Bald eagle flies in and perches on my shoulder, a single solitary tear rolls down his eye

Step 4: Be a proud 'Murican.

i almost lelled irl

Though honestly, the only one who pulls this stuff off on this site is Machismo.

Actually I'm pretty unfamiliar with typical US-based food, except for American cookies.

On that note, what is everyone's favourite kind of cookies? I personally like the ones with macademia nuts.

Ok Blackshippers (or any other suggestions regarding what we can call each other?), I'm adding 1 or 2 co-leaders for this club. PM me or post a few lines about how often you check out this thread, what you want to do to keep it going and the usual stuff.

(Oh and I will gladly ignore pseudo-sarcastic cool guy applications that seem more focussed on getting your 'rough' Internet self out than on getting anything done. As usual.<3)

What is your favourite food?: Oh this is such an unfair question. xD

I guess although it's fast food, Long John Silver's has some really good chicken, and I love a good steak. xD

What do you want to focus on? [What is your specialized area? If you’re completely new, don’t worry. Just tell us what you would be interested into.]: I would love to open a restaurant one day, and even though it will never happen, if I did, I would probably open a steakhouse or something similar.

How would you describe your skills?: What skills? :'o

Other information: [This can include food allergies, diets, etc. Anything else you want to tell us.]: Um... Gordan Ramsay is, like, my idol? :'D

Idea for a sandwich

Whole wheat bread

Mozzarella

Tomato

Spinach

Tilapia

Sweet n' spicy mustard

I had to look up Tilapia. What does it taste like?

But this sounds healthy either way.~

I've been trying to eat more raw foods and less heated stuff this summer.=x

How would you describe your skills?: They aren't that good, but I do watch my father and pick up some good things.

Welcome to the Blackship! :D

You both sound like you have some skills though.o.o IDK, at least better than many of us here?xD

I've also been thinking about adding a mentorship option for this club. Like people with more experience helping others with less.

I'm not really sure what this would look like yet, just an idea so far.

Any thoughts?=o

My parents try a LOT of recipes from other sites.

My mom just made this crock-pot BBQ chicken with store-brand BBQ (Would have prefered my dad's home-made stuff), brown sugar, a couple other ingredients, and chicken. It cooked in the pot low and slow.

Can I have "Prince of the Smoker" as my title? :3

And mentorship sounds good! :D

Machismo: Sounds like something I could add into my things-to-try, but I'm not sure where to find it here. Fish is harder to come by in Germany.=x

Could use the variety too because my favourite sandwiches are BY FAR eggs sandwiches. I haven't found a good dressing to make/buy myself though.D:

Christian: Yeah, I mostly browse the Internet or cookbooks for recipes. Actually the ones in the OP are mostly from other sites. I'm too bad to make anything from scratch (minus salads and such).=x

And you're Prince of the Smoker now.=o

Watch the Food channel for one day. Preferably today. You'll find a decent dressing.

To complement eggs, maybe do a vinegrette or a remoulade. Depends on how the eggs are prepared and what your tastes are.

Oh god, the Food channel. xD

My mom watches Chopped every single day. And if she knows she's gonna miss an episode, she records it.

I love my mom. She makes the best meals. One reason why I won't be moving out for a while.

I haven't joined enough of your clubs.

What is your favourite food? I enjoy a lot of pasta dishes generally.

What do you want fo focus on? Cooking for general eating, I guess. Lunch and dinner and things.

How would you describe your skills? Basic, can follow recipes decently.  Pretty slow and impatient at times. Bad around eggs.

Other information: Nothing that comes to mind.

Yeah, I want to do a light remoulade. The ones you get at the bakery aren't sold for regular people, but something like that.:)

EGGS BENEDICT!

My mom gets a TON of stuff from Pinterest.

I'm not too fond of Hollandaise sauce though and not sure if it would work on sandwiches.

Also I made a simple couscous salad with feta cheese today. It's one of those dishes you can just use your gut feeling for, but I can churn out some directions to share.:)

What is your favorite food? Shrimp Parmigiana, even though I can no longer eat it due to allergy.

What do you want to focus on? Grilling, salad, beverages.  Things that aren't baking.  Fish.

How would you describe your skills? Complete Noob.

Other information: Allergic to shellfish to the point of partially going into shock after eating a crumb-sized bite of lobster.

I made this about a few days ago. The results were delicious. http://www.food.com/recipe/double-layer-mint-fudge-192180
What you can do is mash up peppermint as the lower layer, the follow the recipe.

=o That seems delicious, pretty easy and not too time-consuming. I'm very fond of anything minty anyway.~

Adding it to the OP if that's alright.

Would anyone be interested into a mentorship program? More experienced cooks helping less experienced ones.

Another idea would be a dual system, setting people with a similar focus up as pairs (trios) who then help each other to improve.

Say if you like baking, you could be paired with another baking fan or choose to be put up next to someone who likes grilling if you want to work on that.

Btw Kazooie and PayDae left us, bless them.
