Getting One is.......odd. Like, what does that mean. Do they catch a pokemon or something? And the show's shipping of the two is something else.

 

Not as far as I know.

Which is very tilting. I'm cool waiting a week for anime. I do that normally with crunchyroll stuff. 2 is when I start getting inpatient.

Too bad we don't have scripts of the episode like we do for ARC-V.

At least we'd have some idea of what's being said until the actual subs come out.

I don't mind the wait, but yeah wish Pokemon had more reliable people to do subtitles.

(This is partly why I want to learn Japanese; watch it and not have to rely on someone else to translate it.)

 

On an off-topic note, even the ARC-V guys are slow this time around.

A few things:

1. Didn't Latios die at the end of the 5th movie? If I had to guess, they must have picked it up before that happened. Either that or they got a different Latios.

2. You get the feeling Zygarde is kinda like a digimon? I mean, it changed to it's 10% forme which was kinda like a Digimon's Champion level, and then changed back to it's core form.

3. You get the feeling that Bryony and Celosia do not get along very well? I mean sure they had a bit of a relaxing moment but still. Also, Oh no they didn't.

1. It's not like multiple Latios exist or anything.

2. I didn't, because it's a Pokémon ::.

3. Celosia and Byony not getting along even though they're colleagues is relatable because noone is going to get along with everyone, and I applaud the writers for that tbph.

 

Will add my detailed thoughts on the episode... once I actually watch it.

- What a surprise, Puni-Chan got separated from the Protag Crew.

- Noibat now knows Tackle? Meh.

- I find it funny how Team Rocket's presence was essentially ignored.

A few things:

1. Yeah, Latios died at the end of Pokemon Heroes, but what the dub decided to cut out was the part that multiple Latias/Latios came around Altomare, so there are more than one.

Also remember that Tobias had one during the Sinnoh League.

 

Hoopa might've grabbed one of the newer ones that came around at the end of the movie. Likely the same for Latias (although it could be the one that had a crush on Ash the whole movie, but they decided to screw the whole AltoShipping thing)

 

(I haven't forgiven 4Kids for cutting out that backstory; still need to find a subbed Japanese version. Well, I did find that particular part on Youtube; albeit RAW)

 

2. Sort of, but I haven't watched Digimon for who knows how long.

 

3. Yeah, they probably hate each other. Like British mentioned, no one's going to like everyone, even if they're colleagues.

I expect the rivalries between the 4 female Team Flare scientists to be at least partially responsible for their downfall.

Overall, I kinda expected a little more from the episode, but it was nice.

Bear in mind we only have the anime's aspect about Zygarde's forme change atm, so that's only half the story, and we'll find out more as the story progresses.

So, the "get one" in the title for 104 is better translated as "catch one" according to bulbapedia. Which makes sense. So the actual title is likely "Satoshi and Serena! Catch One at the Dance Party!!"

 

In other news, episode 7 is still lost in the ether. I THINK this is the biggest gap between episodes. Still hopeful that they will speed up come next month since school is on break for most college students.

It varies by school. A couple of my friends would go back the first week of January while my school didn't start again until the end of January. Though who knows, maybe school isn't the issue here.

Well I'm refusing to watch the special in English online on the grounds I know it'll air on TV over here eventually anyway. (Then again I already watched it subbed, so it isn't too much of a concern)

As for XY093, they'll most likely reveal the English title for XY093 nearer the time.

Finally got around to watching 7. Really good episode. Had a very strong Naruto feel, which I imagine wasn't an accident. Wish we got to see more of Ash Gren, but I guess that was me being greedy.

 

Hopefully, the next 2 episodes will be out before episodes resume airing.

Obviously because of the ninja influence, I have to compare it to Naruto (and yeah, likely was intentional they did it).

Yeah, both parts had that feel (now if they only used hand seals in Pokemon [think they did once in AG]).

Even with the Ninja toppings, the story also had a decently strong Naruto village. An ex member of the village wants to be the leader, fights for the right, and loses because he was fighting for power and not the sake of others. Thats Naruto.

 

No new episodes and winter break certainly gives me hope that they will be out soon.

Yeah, I suppose we can compare Kagetomo to Orochimaru during the Konoha Invasion Arc (latter did reform in the end, but not until much later).

Heidayu is probably the Sound Ninja Four (that's the closest we got to assistant roles).

 

I don't recall anything from Shippuden with something of that sort (bar fillers), so that arc in early Naruto is about the closest we got.

Other characters are pretty much the same; not sure on Sanpei and his brothers (guess they could be the 3rd's Black Ops [which makes sense somewhat]).

The dub isn't that bad imo. I think the Japanese if a fair bit better, but the dub is still enjoyable.

 

Speaking of, I just watched the Dub for Mega Evo IV and it was good. Curious when XYZ will start state side since we don't have any dates atm. Though we had gotten the turn around for Dub episodes under 2 months and with the anime currently on break for 2 weeks and taking breaks semi-frequently the dub certainly has some ability to slow down bit.
