Flash Flyer - Sakura
That won't happen for another year or two, but by then, I probably expect we'll be in Generation 7 by then. Eventually, I think Serena's Braixen will evolve before the end of this series. Though I'm still looking forward to the Team Flare stuff (two weeks until Terminus Cave). [spoiler=Note]Now that Ash has a Greninja, I guess we can estimate Ash's own height with respect to it now.Greninja is 4'11 and Ash is slightly shorter, so probably 4'7/4'8 or something (140 - 142 cm for those of you who use metric). Flame Dragon
I find it weird how unanimous everyone is that Serena is going to lose. You would think the 100th episode wouldn't be a lose. 1000 is the bigger milestone, but double 0s always count for something imo. Scary that the show is hitting 900 episodes. One Piece's has been around since 99' and is only in the low 700s. Pokemanz is ancient. I feel like I've gone on about this before, but it bugs me how they refuse to actually age Ash even though he clearly has matured. I've seen it a TON the series and just visually he looks closer to like 12/13 then 10 with this one being my favorite example.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I'm hoping she wins, but if she does lose, just make sure the character she loses to is actually relevant to the plot line.It sort of bugs me when minor characters who we'll forget about after the episode finishes win. (Characters of the day are what I mean by this.) At present, I don't think Serena will lose, but let's see how the writers get to it. But yeah, 1000 episodes is a bigger milestone. ~British Soul~
Even though this really unlikely to happen (and most likely won't), what if Serena loses... to Jessie. Because Jessie is totes a minor/not relevant character ::. Like I said though, that most likely won't happen, but it'd be interesting to see though. Flash Flyer - Sakura
It wouldn't be the first time our main heroine loses to Jessie.I think Dawn and May both lost at least once to her during their contest runs. But yeah, might not happen (and unlike with contests, James can't masquerade as her to win the Key for her). Then again, I sort of doubt he'd be able to pull it off. ----Sometimes I wonder what the male equivalent of Showcases would've been like, if there existed one.Probably something battle-oriented, which would be pretty nice. ~British Soul~
Meanwhile CoroCoro has revealed Volcanion and it's confirmed to be in the movie.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well, I suppose we can expect XY to last for another year or so to accommodate for everything. Now we just wait for it to be released for the games, but that's for the OR/AS (XY) game threads. Flame Dragon
I've gone at length about how the anime has another 2 years but things as they stand really only need 1, but I just realized the 4th XY movie is a giant question mark. The first 3 each featured the event pokemon and the legendary Pokemon for the game that came out that year. Curious what the 4th one will end up doing since by then all of them will be used up. If history is any indication it will show off a 7th gen pokemon which sounds really interesting. Though with it being so formulaic it would be neat to see them mix things up at the end. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Given the trend of last movies of the generation showcasing stuff from the next one, that's probably the case. Movie 5: Latias/Latios (Gen 3 in a Gen 2 movie)Movie 8/9: Lucario/Manaphy (Gen 4 in Gen 3 movie)Movie 13: Zororark/Zorua (Gen 5 in Gen 4 movie)Movie 16: M-Mewtwo Y (Gen 6 in Gen 5 movie; well, Mewtwo already existed but the concept of Mega Evolution is a Gen 6 concept, so I guess that works here)Movie 20: (some Gen 7 Poke or whatever)
~British Soul~
To be fair it won't be distributed till next July because that's when the movie is shown in cinemas. But yeah, the fact that we got Volcanion revealed now means we'll probs get a Gen 7 pokemon in the movie or something.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Then again, we won't get it here in the West for a good while anyway.Still have to wait for the previous movie to come out on DVD (or if I can grab it off of Youtube). If only the subbed versions existed for a lot of these things.
~British Soul~
Also, regarding the trend thing you posted on the previous page I can see why you didn't mention the Gen 1 movies because Togepi 'n junk. (but both movies had Gen 2 pokemon) EDIT: Hoopa movie airs in the US on December 19th on Cartoon Network at 6pm US time.
Astro Dude
Sweet. Speaking of the US: Charlene (Sheryl) is voiced by Brittany Lauda.Carrie is voiced byAnd the moment I've been waiting for...Olympia is voiced by....The latter are unknown. More as we develop. Though Olympia has a robotic mellow tone in her voice. It might be easy to replicate.
~British Soul~
So... bugger all to go on atm, which actually doesn't surprise me tbph. On another note, not that it's a surprise, but like the Diancie movie, the Hoopa movie has a lot of the audio replaced. In fact only the World of Pokémon segment and Clemont's science sheet has their original soundtrack retained, and what's worse is that some of it is actually filler and doesn't really add much to the scenes, I found that when I watched it this morning.Oh, and there's also a spelling error in the credits; editorial is spelled "ditorial". Flash Flyer - Sakura
That's kind of why I want to see the subbed versions of the movies; so I can see the original versions instead of whatever the dub decided to put in there + compare them.Pretty sure the Japanese versions are far superior. Astro Dude
Yeah, apparently Pokemon has a LOT to live up to in order to reach the standards set for Sazae-San which is older than any of us. That started in 1969 and is over 7,000 episodes long.
~British Soul~
Yeah, but that's a different Genre though, so that's kinda irrelevant imo.
~British Soul~
The first two posters of the movie:- Doesn't show much, but it shows that Volcanion is a key aspect and that Zygarde Core will be present too. The first trailer comes out on Thursday
Astro Dude
I believe there is an episode of Disney's Mighty Ducks the animated series that relates to Bonnie and Zygarde Core. But her letting go of Tyrantrum which she only cared for in one episode was hard to let go try saying goodbye to Zygarde after hanging out with it for half a season. ~British Soul~
She'll have to realise that she can't take care of it forever and when she does, saying goodbye to it will be somewhat easier.
Flame Dragon
It only took nearly two weeks, but Episode 6 has been subbed. Nice set up. The real action is the next episode though.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, that one was good. And we find out that Shinobu is literally a century old and just maintains a youthful appearance. Now, which ninja do I know who constantly do that (in another series?) But eventually, Eureka/Bonnie will have to say goodbye to Squishy and she'll have to learn to get over it. --------Next episode will be cool though, and then the Eevee one. Anyway, Carrie's VA is Nicole Wood. Now for the review of Gym Leader English VA's so far: Viola: Lori GardnerGrant: Cory WillisKorrina: Lisa OrtizRamos: Anthony SalernoClemont: Michael Liscio Jr.Valerie: Kate Bristol And now Olympia's English VA. is... Catrin Lloyd Bollard Oh and Malva's English va is Samara Naeymi After Ash's battle with Olympia and Team Flare all that's left is Wulfric. I just hope Dan Green voices the guy. ~British Soul~
Whilst it would be cool (no pun intended btw) for Dan Green to voice Wulfric, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's someone else. Besides that like months away. Anywho if Ash doesn't have a 6th pokemon on his team by XY109, then it'll officially be the longest time it took him to have a full team in a region. (Ash got his 6th pokemon in Hoenn in AG108)
