I wonder they made Gen VI mons' stats generally lacklustre compared to previous gens...I know right especially since except from Diancie, no Gen 6 mon got a Mega. For the most part Megas are mechanically doing what the Gen 4 evolutions did for a lot of old pokemon, bringing them back to relevance. Since Gen 6 was made with this mind it isn't as needed for these pokemon. I mean, 2 of them have been kicked to ubers and another is a major player in OU. About time. I mean its been what, 3 weeks since it aired. That just seems like a bit too much. Since they seem to alternate between fast and slow releases hopefully 91 will be out in a more timely fashion. Anyway, 7 badges down, one more to go, but with a sidetrack it will take some time. Reaching episode number 900 here. And maybe as long as Ash and co. have Zygarde Core in their possession, Team Flare can have an infinite number of hostages. But I'm jusdating myself. Kinda makes you wonder if Ash, Alain and Prof. Sycamore can see how much Lysandre is suffering. I mean, that scene before the main event with him in the games was powerful. As for Diantha and such, I don't think Diantha will be present in this arc, unless it's a cameo towards the end or something. Alexa I don't think she'll appear in the arc either, and yes, in those two instances, I am referring to the games for my (lack of) reasoning. Thought the gym battle was really solid and fun. My eyes widened aa LOT when Olympia went on the offensive, that Psyshock was terrifying. Extremely smart idea to time Future Sight by Ash, and turn it back on her Pokemon. Frogadier and Talonflame took a lot of punishment to pull that off. Props to all the gorgeously animated dipping and dodging they were doing. Frogadier took a Thunder Wave for Talonflame, and Ash managed to get a surprise Brave Bird in with Double Team as a screen. By the way, that spinning Steel Wing looked BRUTAL. All in all the gym battles for the entirety of X and Y have been really solid and exciting, and GREAT animation all around. Astro Dude Posted October 25, 2015 Report Share Posted October 25, 2015 Well the basic formula must still be followed, maybe an episode of when Wulfric is in Pokemon Village taking care of the pokemon there, and asks Ash and friends for help, and stop Team Rocket, the episode after will be the Gym Battle itself, with standard 3 on 3, or maybe they'll have a 6 on 6. The variety of ice-types, and possibilities are endless. Wulfric's team could be Jynx, Beartic, Cryogonal, Abomasnow, Mamoswine and his signature Avalugg. Flame Dragon Posted October 26, 2015 Report Share Posted October 26, 2015 FINALLY catching back up with the anime. Episode 90 continues the adorable. Eevee is just too cute. Also, early bet is it evolving into Jolteon given the cut when it was mentioned. Episode 91 was cool. The quiz was a weird thing to have but watching the free performance was cool. I also feel bad for Luxray. Clemont's other two pokemon have gotten a TON of spot light of late (Chespin is too good) and its kind of neglected. Also, 92 (actual number 91, i.e.: the intro ep for the 7th gym leader) had just come out when I went to start watching, so yay. Episode 92 was awesome. The design of the gym was beautiful, Olympia was super intimidating, and learning more about Frogadier's past was cool. Also enjoyed the nod to the Mega Evo specials and Malva's cameo. Also Ash getting excited when he saw how powerful Olympia was. The foreshadowing for the XYZ series also has me super hyped. That was great. Thanks British for the site. The place I used does have the subs for 90 and 91 now, but they are still labeled as raw and there is a nonzero chance I wouldn't have checked to see if they screwed up again. At least Olympia isn't speaking in haiku, though she's probably using old style Japanese or something [heard the word "warawa" come out of her, which is used by ancient nobility to mean "I" (see Naruto page on Kaguya), however take it with grain of salt]. Still intimidating though, but Ash won. Her Meowstic are a lot more threatening than they are in-game, and to be honest, that kind of says a lot.(Then again, anime usually screws up the power levels anyway). ----Looking forward to the XY&Z series on Thursday. If anything, I expect it to be the standard 3-on-3 fight, but that's quite a ways away though and we can only speculate what the writers will do. @Flame: I forgot about the cut when Jolteon was mentioned (though it was a couple of weeks since I saw the episode), so yeah that seems like a solid bet. Also, in the games, Serena/Calem has a Jolteon on their team if Chespin was the player's starter. [spoiler=Thoughts on 91 Subbed]James mentioned that the Sundial is one of the Seven Wonders of Kalos. I think it shouldn't be too difficult to guess what the other Wonders of Kalos are.It seems that Carrie acting on her own arbitrary interpretations of Olympia's visions is a bad habit of hers.I thought that the background music used for the explanation of Frogadier's past was a decent choice, and it was nice to learn more about it, with it being really selective and wanting love from its trainer.
