Whilst you are talking about special conditions n' junk, now don't bash me for saying this (even though I will anyway as it's no reason to defend my point); I will admit I have one myself (and I was surprised a few users on here have the same condition), Asperger's. I will admit I often say things without thinking of the consequences, but I'm trying to change that. I suppose we could have a mod (ie Flame Dragon or Sakura as they post in this thread) calmly explain how much of an inconvenience AD is being.

 

I will say this though, going back to the topic at hand towards the beginning of the page about filling the gap and 20th anniversary, I did have a legit suggestion, yet I feel it was ignored, reminder as to what it was.

While Astro posts a lot of stuff I couldn't care less about it isn't really against the rules. He talks about VAs and unpopular characters and while a lot of people will find that talk as pointless noise its still on the topic of this thread.

Fair enough. I just figured I should give my word as a mod.

 

Going to the islands would be interesting, but I don't think they are iconic enough to really warrant it. If memory serves they wanted to have them in Gen 1 but they couldn't get them in on time. I'm pretty sure that was the impetus for the Orange Island arc.

They wanted to have them in Gen 1? Well, learn something new every day. Ofc I do realise that the suggestion, whilst interesting is unrealistic, though it is valid enough due to it being connected with Kanto in some way despite it being redundant with two island-hopping arcs under the anime's belt already.

All I'm saying is that your way to deal with him might not be effective on him and inadvertently cause unneeded harm to him and make you look bad at the eyes of other people even though that wasn't your intention. I was actually wondering whether he belonged to a lower scale of the Autistic Spectrum, and therefore he might not even realize he's bothering other people. His behaviour is typical of people inside the AS. 

 

Back on topic: While I'm still not fond of the idea of going back to Kanto, I agree that having Ash visit the Sevii Islands would be the best we could make out of that prospect. Specially if we got to meet a couple of game characters we didn't have to opportunity to see in the anime yet (from in and outside Kanto). Still, I'd like to see the return of lots of old characters besides the previous travelling companions at the 20th Anniversary, like Gym Leaders and Elite Four members (hopefully, we could get a special appearance from the Hoenn, Johto and Unova E4 who didn't show up in their respective series). That's all wishful thinking for now, however.

Well we don't know if he has a condition within the AS and I don't think it's appropriate to ask unless he wants to tell us (Because it's within his discretion to do so). The only reason I revealed that I had a condition within the AS was because other people revealed the same.

 

Specially if we got to meet a couple of game characters we didn't have to opportunity to see in the anime yet (from in and outside Kanto).

I would like to see the same thing happen myself, and I'm sure we can easily name a couple; Janine and Celio.

Plus, apparently the girl from the preview is in the same boat as Janina and Shauna (Lisa Ortiz Hoenn Shauna), a hot-blooded trainer whose heart was in the right place but doesn't get the full picture. And she got scolded for it. At least we get to see Olympia in action in terms of power, and we got to see Malva, earlier than expected.

 

And like Mega Sableye, the member formerly known as British Soul, said, we'll have to wait next week for the subs.

 

But American fans have to wait 8 weeks, 2 days for the dub.

Okay then, been a while since we saw a double battle for a gym battle. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

 

And the week after we see Squishy, aka Zygarde Core. Kinda makes you wonder if there are Zygarde Cells all over Kalos.

- Carrie certainly got the wrong end of the stick by attacking Ash and Sycamore when Olympia had a vision regarding the two of them.

- I did enjoy James taking the piss out of Professor Oak's holo caster by doing his own version. Was wondering when he'd "imitate" Professor Oak again.

- I thought it was nice that they referenced the events of Mega Evo III in this episode tbh

- We learn about Frogadier's past (will talk about this when the subs eventually come out),from context it looked as if it didn't like hanging out with the other Froakies and we knew from the first couple of episodes that Froakie had been returned several times. Suppose it was merely waiting for the right trainer (ie Ash) as it was destined.

- Turns out the timer thing was to do with Future Sight. To be fair, when I made my post about the timer having something to do with Team Rocket, I hadn't watched the episode on the grounds that I was at work.

Iris could appear after Ash's battle with Wulfric, and she can challenge Serena to a contest battle and we can see her champ garb. This might not happen either.

It does, and it was an adaptation on what was said before the Mossdeep gym battle.

Also random trivia about the gym battle; Every double battle format gym battle has had the gym leader use at least one psychic-type. (Luana from the Orange Islands used Alakazam and Marowak)

I agree, that does seem unlikely and perhaps the writers won't bring up the fact that she's ex-Team Flare in the anime, and we can both agree that Ash wouldn't be supid enough to tell anyone that (Although if he did find out about that in the upcoming arc, it'd probs be by accident, though in that case he would be told not to tell anyone there and then rather than at the Kalos league if you know what I mean).

Not to sound rude or anything, but yeah it does have "not gonna happen" written all over because it just seems random as funk, I mean I just don't see a reason why Iris would go to Kalos tbh, let alone Snowbelle City just to prove a point about the cold (Which was probably your logic behind that).

Okay then, It's just, we're nearing the end of the Kalos saga and we're running out of ideas.

That and we're nearing the 20th anniversary and all so we were tossing our ideas for what they could do once Kalos is over and done with. If anything, Kalos would need to stretch till at least next July with the next movie ft Volcanion (who won't be officially revealed till next February or something), and the upcoming arc and upcoming filler can only stretch Kalos so far.

It'd be funny if Frogadier happened to evolve during Ash's match against Olympia, since Greninja's Dark-Type would render her Meowstic's Psychic moves useless. I think that'd the first time that immunity would be alluded to in the show - though there were a few instances of Dark-Type Pokémon being moved using a Psychic move outside battle, which makes me wonder whether they forgot about that detail or Dark-Types need to make an active effort to dispel Psychic attacks (at least in the animeverse).

Y'know what, I was actually thinking the exact same thing about Frogadier. We know Olympia had a premonition of Ash-Greninja and yeah it would be somewhat hilarious if Frogadier suddenly evolved during the gym battle. I also remember there have been instances in the anime where Dark-types have been moved by Psychic attacks outside of battle.

But here's something to consider: What if both her Meowstic know Disarming Voice, a fairy-type move which is super effective against Dark Types.

Even if they did (and assuming the above scenario does happen), Disarming Voice isn't the best fairy-type move in the world (in fact it's tied with Fairy Wind as the weakest Fairy-type move in-game) so it'd merely be a minor setback, then again stats don't factor in within the anime-verse and Meowstic's aren't the best either.

Could it be that they're skipping the episode solely because it's filler-y? I didn't watch it yet, but it doesn't seem like it contains any questionable content. Or maybe they just forgot to divulge it.
