I think AZ will probs show up in the eventual Team Flare arc. I'm sure they'll most likely tone down his story though given that it's super dark.

He'll definitely have a central part in the eventual Team Flare arc. No doubt the story will be toned down maybe even in the japanese version, so that the english version won't have to butcher it as much.

 

In less relevant News, Mike Pollock takes a break from being Eggman in Sonic Boom to voice the old guy Noctowl trainer one-time character people will forget about in 24 hours. But he'll be back as Eggman this Saturday.

The way I see it, I wouldn't even call that a break at all tbph. VAs can have more than have one recording gig in a week, and even have multiple recording sessions for different things in 1 day.

Would it be classed as a break if you did recording for Show X on a day you're not scheduled to do recording for Show Y? Not really imo.

Last week was a little crazy for me so I only now got to watch the Chespin episode. It was really cute. I love the pokemon antics for some reason and they were great in the episode. The stuff surrounding them was also solid. Good episode.

 

Also, the Braixen episode has been subbed so I watched that too. Another cute episode with a lot of heart. It did a good job making me feel bad for Braixen and James playing nice guy is always fun to see. Also bottle caps. Nice to know somethings never change.

 

Over all very enjoyable two episodes. Feel like Moltres next one will be out in a week and then we have a break before the next batch. Hopefully it won't be too soon that we have another break.

At this point, it's probably standard to wait about a week or so before an episode is subbed.

Though, school did start up again, so longer delays are likely to be expected.

 

I'll watch the Braixen one later, but yeah it was emotional enough for things.

As for AZ's backstory, yeah they'll probably tone down his usage of sacrificing other Pokemon to revive his Floette + end the war.

Then again, it's not the first time the dub butchered anything when translated.

 

Although, we've yet to see the last two gyms and eventual Kalos League.

Hopefully, Ash does better this time (as his Unova performance was rather disappointing).

His Unova performance was only disappointing because his placement in the league regressed from his placement in Sinnoh, not to mention he was unlucky to lose to a person who only had 5 pokemon on him during their full battle.

 

Anywho, new titles

Episode 894: The Happy Dance Comes After a Quiz!? The Anistar Showcase Tournament!! (October 10th)

 

Tierno will appear in both of these episodes, and Shauna will appear in the 2nd for the Anistar showcase, so chances are the Anistar gym battle will be on October 17th or something.

 

EDIT: One more thing, Tierno will have a Blastoise when he appears in XY089 on October 3rd.

Although it hasn't been explained too much on how a lot of characters thus far got their Mega Rings (or whatever).

 

Korrina has hers from her grandfather and Alain's from Lysandre.

 

Although, don't recall the anime mentioning stuff about Blaziken Mask, Prof. Sycamore, Diantha, Mabel (I forgot her JP name) and some other characters who might've had Mega Stones.

I would very much enjoy a Charizard X vs. Charizard Y battle during the Flare arc. Sounds like a really sweet setup even though Y would be at a huge disadvantage thanks to X's 4x resit.

Ash was not the only one. When Dic went the way of 4kids, Sailor Moon VA's had to change. For Sailor Moon S, while Raye and Lita got to keep their respective va's, Serena, who had two different voice actresses already, got herself a third one. Mind you, this was before Serena was voiced by Stephanie Sheh. Serena's old va's reason, same thine here, leave due to pregnancy.

Ok, I know Mika Kanai is a very talented VA whose forte is high-pitched tones, but she's much older than Mariya Ise - I'm afraid that could hinder her performance and make her sound very differently from her colleague.

Yeah, we have a 51-year old voicing an 8/9 year old (however old Eureka/Bonnie is), as opposed to a 26-year old one doing same thing.

It might have a noticeable difference, but we'll have to see how much of a difference it will be, once the episode airs next Thursday.

Then again, you can argue why Poke Ball Factory comes after Route 15; unless there's a roundabout way to the Factory that doesn't involve going through Laverre.

Probs not. As stated a billion times, we might get a whole arc dedicated to them.

 

and as you said in the previous line, best not to confuse game logic and anime logic, besides the plot doesn't have to mirror the game's plot. Just because we had the Flare climax after Anistar in the games, doesn't mean it'll necessarily happen in the anime.

Curious how they will shift the anime from XY to XY & Z. My guess is that will coincide with Ash getting his 7th badge. Also, looks like he'll be getting Gren pretty soon. Though the new design raises some questions.
