Pchi
It could be a Gen VII mon, for all we know. Or maybe they're breaking the mold and adding a new mon who wasn't on any previous game's data this gen in the next released title. Alternatively, an overpowered mon that will never be catchable in the games, or even a non-Pokémon entity, like the final boss of PMD: Gates to Infinity. Flame Dragon
So apparently the subs are out for episode 79 and not 78 (labeled 80 and 79 respectively because 78 was the special). Thats VERY strange.
~British Soul~
I saw that, and yeah it is strange and also pretty confusing. I mean they could've labelled the Special as a Special, but no, they had to do things differently.

Its frustrating since I now need to leave a not for myself that the episode count is going to be different if I go to cross-reference something on bulbapedia. Also makes talking about the episodes annoying. Also weird that they would put out the subs for the contest before the factory episode. I get the contest is main plot but skipping episodes isn't something people like to do.

Flame Dragon
So, I checked out the "raw" for 79 (pokeball factory ep) and yea, its not raw. Or at least, the video I clicked has subs up. What ever. Time to catch up on the last two episodes. Pokeball Factory episode was pretty funny. Simple jokes, but they worked. Also, episode 80 on the place I'm using has episode 79, the Pokeball Factory. Meaning what is technically episode 78 is under 79 and 80. Dear lord this is a mess. I now need to check 81 for what should be episode 79. Thank goodness I'm OCD and have left myself two notes so I don't forget how screwed up the numbering is getting. Astro Dude
If anyone is interested, I'll use Honedge against Valerie, Doublade against Olympia and Aegislash for Wulfric. Also, new movie looks interesting. This week the dub of the scary house, which is more scary than in the game, and next week, Subbed Gourgeist, Dubbed Valerie. Flash Flyer - Sakura
To be fair, I stopped caring about the dubs after what 4Kids and other dubbing companies did to it.As for the subbed episodes, yeah it's really weird that they didn't make the Pika special as that, instead of marking it as a regular episode. Note to self; after 77, whatever episode I want to watch on Anime4Fun and stuff will be that +1.(So pretty much, 78-80 need to be watched with subs; and then we have 81 raw in a couple hours) Can't say that I'm pleased with the speed of the subbing, but be grateful that people are actually doing it. I actually have a thing to keep track of various things I watch and have a literal note to self that the count is now off. Since your using a difference place than I am, does your episode 80 have the subs for 79 there instead?
~British Soul~
So I was randomly looking at TV listings over here... fine I didn't. I was compelled to after an advert, and the UK is finally getting the 2nd Mega Evolution Special on Saturday airing alongside the 1st Mega Evolution Special and Pokémon: the Origin. *sets alarm for 8am* @Sakura: Remember, there is no new episode this week because of the movie. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Oh yeah, I forgot the Hoopa movie premieres tomorrow. But it's probably good for us that there is no episode; considering the backlog. @Flame: When I checked Anime4Fun the other night, 78 was marked as the special.Probably is the same like yours, but I should double check. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well, that probably confirmed that Ash will be getting himself a Talonflame by the time those episodes air. That, and either Ash got a new 6th in Tyrantrum (or that belongs to Citron, idk). Also, Ash vs Olympia is probably going to be soon after. ----In regards to the anime thing, yeah Anime4Fun has 78 marked as the special and everything else is pushed up by 1.Last week's episode hasn't been subbed yet though. ~British Soul~
I didn't think Fletchinder will evolve into Talonflame by battling a Moltres. I figured that it'd evolve into a Talonflame eventually anyway, but I certainly didn't expect that.As for Tyrunt, I think Ash needs to have a 6th pokemon by now. Though I reckon it'll be Clemont's. We'll have to see in September.
Astro Dude
Plus the Gym battle with Olympia. Speaking of which: Hopefully the anime will do her justice. Also, kinda hoping to see Todd Snap again after oh so long.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Considering he hasn't appeared for that long, safe to assume the writers forgot that he existed; much like a lot of stuff in the anime (including Ash's Aura ability). We shall see about Olympia though, and whether/not she retains her haiku speaking pattern in the anime; or switches.Valerie had a "slang" accent in the anime, as opposed to her being normal in the games, so... ~British Soul~
Also, kinda hoping to see Todd Snap again after oh so long.I doubt Todd Snap will reappear anytime soon. Besides Trevor is the one looking to get a snapshot of Moltres. Also, here's a sketch of what could be a new pokemon from the teaser of the upcoming movie there was something new appearing in it. Gin (a friend of Serebii.net) describes it as being bright green with one eye larger than the other. During the trailer for next years movie, its eye looked through the O of the word Pokémon and then it blobbed about. I think that this isn't a new pokemon at all, but is related to Zygarde. And maybe Olympia will be like other gym leaders and appear in more than one episode to flesh out her character more than in the games. I doubt Todd Snap will reappear anytime soon. Pchi
Are we sure Valerie's accent wasn't present in the original Japanese version of the games as well?
Astro Dude
Well we'll find out in 6 days. Also, I have to do this again: Sorry, I just had to.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Are we sure Valerie's accent wasn't present in the original Japanese version of thw games as well?Unless someone has access to a Japanese X/Y game, we can't check to see if she has a regional dialect or talks normally like she does in our version. Heck, even someone posting the raw text from the game in different languages on Bulbapedia might have been helpful. We'll have to see what happens in the dub, although some of us likely won't give it too much thought, given the preference for subs nowadays. ~British Soul~
Posting the raw Japanese text onto bulbapedia might've been the better option seeing as we don't have anyone on hand who can translate Japanese if they watched a Japanese playthrough of x/y. Thinking about it, I might re-watch the subs with Valerie because I can't remember how she spoke.Oh and Sakura, if you're reading this, any chance we can sort out the Amaura at some point. Astro Dude
Who knows. The dub might have the accent just for her battle with Scottie. Still, rather curious who would voice Valerie. Depends on who is in the New York Area at the time, I mean Kira Buckland was there on vacation or something and boom, she was Lindsey in an episode that was postponed. For starters, Veronica Taylor is out cause she's busy being Trista/Sailor Pluto for Sailor Moon S, Lisa Ortiz is out since she already voiced Korrina, Not Laura Bailey, not Megan Hollingshead, not whoever voiced Judith in Tales of Vesperia, For the first time I am stumped, but I guess I'll have to wait to see who it is.
