The Purge previews creeped me out, so I never saw the movie, but despite its creepiness, it does look good. Upon request, I will co-host with you, if you will have me. Ren✧ Posted June 23, 2013 Report Share Posted June 23, 2013 [spoiler=Officer Ryan Shelby] Name: Officer Ryan Shelby (Friends call him Ryan, everyone else either Shelby, or officer Shelby) Age: 26 Gender: Male [spoiler=Personality] Ryan takes pride in being a police officer. He helps out anyone around him, and never turns his back to someone in need. Captivated by his work, Ryan hasn't had time for a relationship. Living far away from his family, the only person that Ryan loves is his dog, Dexter. Dexter is a large German Shepard, tried by Officer Shelby to follow a variety of commands. He often accompanies Ryan at work, despite regulation. Most people get along with Ryan, but anyone that has run across his path at work knows that he doesn't make an exception for anybody. Ryan hates The Purge. He disregards its supposed 'results' in lowered crime and sees it as a day of mass panic and destruction. Being a man of law and order, he does what he can to protect the people around him. While not the most secure house, his home does have its own line of defenses that offer not only himself protection, but those that seek his aid as well. But could his helping hand be the cause of his fatal downfall? [/spoiler] [spoiler=Appearance] Standing just at 6 foot, Ryan isn't a pushover. Working out on a regular basis has built a large amount of muscle and stamina. Coupled with his near-prime age, he can be quite the physical menace. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Bio] Ryan has been a police officer for the past four years, grabbing a job right out of the academy. Scoring extremely high on all his tests, he shows great promise in becoming a great cop. He decided he wanted to serve in the police force after a police officer saved him as a little boy from a killer during The Purge. It was then that he would make the two biggest decisions of his life. 1) to protect anyone that ever needed help 2) to bring justice to those that tried to hurt others. Since then, he has kept true to his promise, locking up a number of notorious criminals as well as aiding in several captive situations. Recently, Ryan has tried to get his Precinct to agree to fight against The Purge, to rally the other officers so as to provide safety to all that wanted it, but no one will follow him along that path. They fear the government as well as what the citizens will do once the laws rendered null. He is alone, except for his trusty companion Dexter that is. A loving and loyal companion, Dexter is trained as an attack dog, a search and rescue dog, and a best friend. He gets along well with children and males, but doesn't have too much of a liking for women. Ryan has had Dexter for almost ten years, and has never spent more than a few days away from him. I plan on creating the party host, and 3 characters who attend the party. Also at the party there should be some mind altering drug that makes a few people go crazy! Any roleplay which revolves around violently murdering other people for fun isn't going to be tolerated here. You have broken the rules of this forum, and thus I will respond in turn. Locked.
