Judging from your artwork I'll suggest that you haven't been around the tagging area for much because of the skill level.

I'll start off by welcoming you here and tell you that you'll be on a great journey. However, we tend to be direct and full of constructive criticism, so don't take it personally! It's just about giving you the correct comments for you to improve.

Right off the bat I'd like to discuss with you the idea of exposure and contrast. When a specific spot is over exposed it produces a very bright light. In your case, it is on the left side of the face. The over-exposure point is very vivid and strong. To deal with it I suggest you don't put too much lighting. Pretty simple.

Over contrasting a subject in an artwork will cause it to have very sharp dark edges. This is usually because of the many dark overlaying's and/or lighting adjustment layers.

It is usually not the case but I'm going to advise you to always have a concept behind your artwork. It will help you add elements that will look interesting and that will work with everything to help create a better overall look.

Finally, I suggest studying the colour theory. It will help you in the long run when deciding your colours.
