I assume "hide this card among one of those Tokens" is just manga slang for it being able to revive itself if that particular Token is destroyed.

But really, an IRL version would be something like:
"Equip This card to one of those Tokens; If that Token is destroyed, Special Summon this card"

Also, am I correct in assess this card does not use its ORUs at all?

"ORU" is just Engrish for OverLay Unit.
Regardless, not every Xyz monster is required to use their Xyz Materials.
I mean, Queen Dragun still makes other Dragons immune to battle destruction, and Tiras just uses his Units as a timer rather then detaching them to activate anything.

So this is Shadow's Number. If Shark and Kaito are duking it out, then he probably summons this against Yuma.

I know what ORU is short for Armz. Ijust felt like using that because typing posts on a phone is annoying. As for Xyz effects, usually effects that don't detach are fairly simple. This is a multi-stage effect.

The fact that it requires an empty field when it's destroyed is kind of annoying, since it specifies "5" monsters. If it was "up to 5", then I wouldn't be bothered about it, but that in itself kind of takes away from the flavor of the card.
