Brawl would seldom take a second or two to load the main menu.

And sometimes, starting an actual fight could take several moments. I know older Wiis may even completely freeze due to it being a dual-layered disc. Really heavy game.

Speaking of that, if the wi-fi is good enough, I would be so down for a competitive solo and team ladder here. There are definitely enough people playing here and enough that want to improve. Also it would let people main the Miis more openly, since we'd be adding each other as friends and not with anyone.

This. So much this.

I mean, considering the fact they went all-out for Wifi games and put in 2 actual modes as an incentive for people to play it, the wifi connection better be amazing.
...Or at least, more stable.

Delays in online games, if even for like 1-2 seconds, can/will drive people up a wall.
(If only, really, because it makes timing things a pain in the ass)

I've never really played Samus before, but seeing her in action, her fighting looks really slick. I'll have to give her a go when this comes out. Plus, I'm curious to see if there's some truth in Sakurai's claim that she's the strongest character.

Also, it's funny that the announcer's tone of voice when you select Killager is really deep and ominous.

So there was more to the demo of the WiiU version from Treehouse, I watched it and:

- Villager's Tree and Lloid rockets changes size with him when affected by lightning or mushrooms.

- The Gust Bellows item blows players around when used, and if it's thrown it bounces around erratically spraying air everywhere.

- If Villager pockets an explosive item that's about to explode, when he brings it back out the explosive timer is reset.

- Link's horizontal range on his smash attacks has improved.

- While larger, it looks like Samus's Zero Laser is less aimable once fired.

Yeah, I've seen the term Killager recently around the internet, and it's what the Treehouse guys were calling him/her.

So.... Anyone got any info/etc on the alt costumes for the fighters? Outside of Villager, since, you know, his alts are just other Animal Crossing players. And what we already know, of course.

- Villager's Tree and Lloid rockets changes size with him when affected by lightning or mushrooms.

You know, I wonder... Do all items stay the same size, or do they shrink/grow with the one holding them?
I'd honestly love to have giant weapons.

You people must read this topic.

http://smashboards.com/threads/my-smash-4-best-buy-demo-info-impression-extravagganza.358436/

Please.

It seems really informative on the game on a competitive standpoint and shows how much more balanced this game will be compared to earlier Smashes. It looks like almost anybody can main whoever they like best without having to be afraid that their character is not good enough. There's also a rather lengthy video to go along with it, but you should really just read the whole first post.
Ganondorf is confirmed since he's my undeniable main
Um..........I don't buy that. Not only is the game a fair bit from being done, but we only got to play 2 min free for all. Trying to get any read on the game from that little bit of play is not going to get us much. It would be nice if it were true, but I don't thik you can make that kind of claim at this point in time.

Ganondorf confirmed? I'd love that, though I'll take the story of some kid choosing him with Random with a grain of salt.

And I'm with Flame, while you can get a general feel of a character compared to Brawl, it's much too early to try and say what will happen competitively.

Also, I'm thinking we'll get more than just the 4 colors for each character as shown in that video, since it's just a demo. Especially since we know about Wire Frame Mac, which wasn't available at the demo.

Thank god, I was freaking for a second.

I'd even be fine if they only gave each character one alternate outfit alongside color swaps, like Wario's overalls and WarioWare, Mario and Dr. Mario, Pokémon shinies, etc.

As for characters I'm most excited to play as, they'd be Greninja, Palutena and Little Mac, though I'm psyched for all of the other fighters as well.

I'm really disappointed I didn't try playing as Link instead of Marth.

I don't recall Samus's Zero Laser being aimable in Brawl.

While likely they add more alts, the lack of Pittoo in the demo disappoints me.

Killagers are exactly who I thought they were.

So, which Amiibo are y'all planning on getting?

I'm getting Pit no matter what the price is, though I may buy one of those other figures that cost like $50 first. If Dark Pit has one, I'm taking him, tho. Link and Marth are the other two I would consider getting, though if they cost around $10 or less, I may grab a Villager, Greninja, and maybe even more.

The objectiveness of the moves as far as damage and range are concerned isn't too early, except with the knowledge that they may be edited before release (which they will be)

Once fired, you could move the attack slightly up or down. It was minute (~30 degrees max?), but not as minute as it looked like in the video I saw. And I know the guy was trying his best to move it downward, there was a crouching player that was avoiding the laser by mere pixels.

Regarding the moves, numbers and percents does not a meta make, at least with this game.

Also, what happened to Mac's wire frame? O,o

Seems pretty obvious.

I just want the white/gold/black color scheme back for Bowser. I bet it'd look sweet with this new brighter, more colorful art style. Others I imagine we'll get would be Dark variants of Link, Toon Link, and Pit.

And speaking of Little Mac, I love his victory screen.
