Agro
You could do that, but if you're going for NES characters with tons of different weapons, still on for Simon Belmont 8D

Shradow
He can lift up a boulder with relative ease, and makes crushing rocks seem such a breeze. I'm sure he makes a great Assist Trophy. EDIT: Aaaaaand, Poltergust 3000 video. It looks like Luigi flails the vacuum around wildly trying to suck up nearby players, and if he gets someone he just flat out shoots them off the stage at very high speeds. Pretty cool, I think. Don't know if it's one of those insta-KO ones or not, since I can't see the damage at the time of the FS. Also, Greninja's voice is awesome. The guy I linked to earlier that had all the Final Smash videos also has some long videos covering the in-depth demos from the Treehouse, I plan on checking those out later. Fusion X. Denver
I'm digging the new Final Smashes, especially ZSS's and Luigi's. Villager's was hilarious. Only Rosalina's really underwhelmed me. And that custom move chart posted earlier has made me more excited for that feature. It's gonna be interesting playing around with these when game time finally comes.

Astro Dude
If Pit was good, I'd place Palutena in the God Tier. Palutena for the win. And yes, I'm aware Palutena is in. Not to mention Ali Hillis returns to reprise the role. Yeah. (Insert picture of Presa from Tales of Xillia) THAT Ali Hillis.
Shradow
Gonna make this post all about what interesting things I see from watching the in-depth demos, for people who don't have the time to watch. - In terms of the game physics it seems more fast-paced and less floaty than Brawl, looks like things are a nice mix between Melee and Brawl. - Villager's tree is a 3 part down special where he plants the seedling, waters it (and when it grows, it deals damage and knockback to anyone standing on it), then chops it down for a powerful attack on anyone it lands on. The seedling/tree will dissipate if left alone for too long, though. - Link's down air is now a meteor smash for the first few frames, his dash attack is now a more powerful jumping slash, and his up air includes a little kick before the slash. - Little Mac's victory screen has Doc Louis, and Mac wears the championship belt. - If you try and grab an already occupied edge when whoever's currently grabbing it isn't in their invincibility frames, you kick them off. They do regain their midair jump when kicked off. - It's aesthetic it looks like, but when you run off an edge you go into a little tumbling animation, not a helpless state or anything. - Bowser's down air now is similar to his down special where he quickly slams into the ground while inside his shell upside-down, the recovery time upon hitting the ground is much faster than using his down air in Brawl. In general, his movements are faster and his attacks are faster with less punishing recovery times once they end. - Samus's Zero Laser appears to be much larger. - Like Little Mac, Bowser has some natural flinch resistance in his attacks. - Samus's Screw Attack now has a more powerful vertical launch at the end, making it a viable vertical finisher. - The Cuccoo item is a Cuccoo who walks around. You pick it up and throw it at people, and if you hit someone a hoard of Cuccoo will attack that player for a short time. - With the Mother Brain Assist Trophy, in addition to its laser, some rings will also float around and damage players. - When used in midair, Donkey Kong's down special is sort of a dunking attack, where he does a few slaps to knock down players. - Mario Finale is still Mario's Final Smash, can't tell if it's more or less effective than in Brawl. - During testing, Sakurai said that Samus (not Zero Suit Samus) seemed like the best character in the game. - Rosalina's FS, Power Star, has a large explosion near the star at the end. - All characters have unique victory songs, even within the same franchise. - Sonic's KO power has been increased. - When used on the ground, DK's up special keeps him stationary while spinning and has a bit of a suction effect. DK's dash attack has been changed to a forward roll (think Donkey Kong Country) with faster recovery time than his previous kick dash attack. His one-two punch standard combo seems to have a more powerful second punch. DK's FS is still the same, but a visual bar with the notes (like music games such as Guitar Hero) appears over his head as a visual indicator for when to hit the attack button. In general, he's been buffed sufficiently. - Little Mac's stage entrance is him appearing in his full pink hoodie and sweatpants, then removing them in one swoop. - Chespin is a Pokeball Pokemon who releases abunch of explosive seeds in an arc around him several times before leaving. - The Bullet Bill item is first picked up, then activated again separately, not something instant like the Warp Star. When you activate it, you launch forward straight in the direction you're holding when you activate it, hitting anyone in your path. If you hit a surface at a shallow enough angle, you just change trajectory to move alongside it. Otherwise you crash and the item gets cut off. - Zelda's Phantom Slash has a different attack depending on how long you charge it up. At normal charge it has one, horizontal slash. At full charge, it does that, but in addition does a high vertical slash. Her FS is still the Light Arrow. - Wii Fit Trainer's volleyball attack has a meteor smash to it. - On the New Super Mario Bros. U stage, drops of water will occasionally fall, signifying a large icicle will follow. Any players they hit will be frozen and knocked away. They will remain on stage as obstacles until destroyed by attacks. Large water jets will sometimes shoot up from below, acting as ways for players to get back up if falling below the stage, or as platforms at the top of them, though sometimes the large sea urchin enemies will be resting on top of them as hazards. - The Beetle item is an object thrown straight forward, and anyone they grab is instantly pulled upwards off the stage. I'm unsure if escape is possible once grabbed, and it grabs through shields. - Marth's FS is still Critical Hit. - Villager's entrance is that he walks out of the standard Animal Crossing house. - Little Mac's side special, that run jump haymaker, normally goes pretty far, but if you press the special button again during the jump you'll activate the punch prematurely to go shorter distances with it. - Little Mac's FS, Giga Mac, is a simple transformation where he loses a bit of speed for more powerful attacks. He takes damage but no knockback, like Giga Bowser. - DK's down air instead of a short stomp is a longer lasting downward kick. - Genesect is a Pokeball Pokemon. Its pattern is that it does a jump, shooting several short range energy blast, then gets down on all fours and fires off a huge laser that reaches the edge of the screen, and repeats a couple times. - Olimar's FS is still End of Day. - The Killer Eye is an item from Kid Icarus. It's a forward-facing turret that activates when thrown, firing horizontal energy projectiles at nearby enemies. Hitting it will turn it around to fire the other direction, and certain attacks can flip it on its back where it will fire upwards. - After Villager cuts down the tree for his/her down special, chunks of wood remain as throwable items. EDIT: This daily image pleases me. I mean, could you imagine showing something like this to yourself as a kid? I'd probably need a new pair of pants at the news. Also: Little Mac's Final Smash Luigi's Final Smash (better quality than the last one I posted)
Lonk
I'm pretty sure that everyone missed this or didn't bother paying attention to this: That's a Sneaky Spirit from the Rhythm Heaven games. Who else do we know is from Rhythm Heaven and is on Gematsu's leaks? I think I had brought it up. Its the same reason that has caused me to start saying Ice Climbers will be back in. since the Polar Bear is also in Smash Run. that's cool. Also Little Mac is a beast, guys. He won a lot of matches at the Smash Fest today. Thing he is can't recover for the life of him. Like, at all. Its kind of amazing just how bad it i. Shradow
Yeah, watching gameplay of Mac, he's an absolute monster on the ground, which we all expected. But I didn't think his air game and recovery was going to be that bad. I don't have a problem with it, though, the point is obviously to stick to the ground, and he looks absolutely fun to play as. And seeing Bowser in action (and actually winning some games) from Treehouse and stuff makes me want to play him even more.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
So how different is Little Mac than most of the others? My first reaction to him was wondering if it would be a totally different playstyle than the rest. Also Chorus Men would be amusing to use so I hope they do make it. If you remember how Wario moves in Brawl, its the exact opposite.
Shradow
So, given who all we know about so far, which characters are you guys looking forward to playing as the most? For me, still Bowser. All the hype about Mega Man, Pac-Man, Little Mac, what have you, I'm still a bit thrown off how none of that has dissuaded me from Bowser. He wasn't even my most played character in Melee or Brawl, but I really, really, really want to play as him.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I for sure want to play all the new characters. I wasn't very good in the air to begin with so Little Mac should be really good to play. But I really want to play Zelda mostly.
Lonk
Yushee. Nobody plays as him. I would like to try Greninja though, but his vertical recovery sucks from what I've seen in the tournament.
Shradow
His recovery is pretty much like Pikachu's recovery, but I think it does go slightly shorter distances.
Agro
Guy I was playing with did okay with neutral special and up special for recovery woth little mac. He hits hard and fast on the ground though so it can be hard to even get him off the ledge sometimes.
Kazooie
Rosalina. She seems to be kinda like Ice Climbers in that there's a really steep learning curve, but she'll be an amazing character if you can learn to use her.
Shradow
Guy I was playing with did okay with neutral special and up special for recovery Huh, charging his Straight Lunge for horizontal recovery, never thought about that. And from the sound of it, it doesn't put you in helpless state like Ike's Quick Draw, so it can combo into Rising Uppercut. Can Jolt Haymaker also be used for viable recovery in the air? EDIT: So the screen KOs in this game are way better than Brawl's.
Tentacruel
For those who play Link, his dashing A is different now. He does a jump attack like from the Zelda games and it has massive knockback.
Agro
That jump attack is killer, I really wish I'd played as Link instead of Marth. @screen KOs: tell me something I don't know. Though I kinda wish Greninja left a saliva trail with his tongue lol @Caeda: I just wanna know if I can wobblecombo
Shradow
Sonic's got this neat purple color in this game, you can see it starting at 21:30 in the IGN demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgQZ01RyAaU And speaking of Sonic, his dash attack is different as well. It's got the same spin part from Brawl, but with an added kick at the end for some knockback. Like how Brawl added the final little knockback punch to Luigi's dash attack from Melee. Also, his down smash is now a quick kick on both sides instead of him spinning from one side to the other.
