We don't know how they would tone down Bayonetta if she were added, but you seem to be under the assumption people would lose their s*** over it because she'd be in the game as she is in her own games, which obviously wouldn't happen.

I didn't start this whole thing about maturity, I'm not trying to argue anything, I just listed characters I'd want in like every other person has in this thread.

It's a woman that soccer moms and such can easily construe as a slut. The fact she's a witch doesn't help her either. If they tone her down, she becomes ZSS as said. So no, you've made 0 points of merit.

You jumped onto it and offered nothing but terrible arguments. Doesn't matter who started it when you're offering points that get shot down without even trying.

He'd brush up his skills with the 3DS version, then come back to beat their asses on the Wii-U version. At least from what I understood from that.

Yeah, and I was saying I didn't think the controls would translate as well. 3DS has no c-stick.

You mean I'm terrible at arguments when I'm not wanting to argue? Got it, guess I'll just have to go back to enjoying the hype for the game like I have been, what a chore.

He's the Regginator, eventually he'll beat all our asses. You'd do right to fear him.

If you don't want to argue, then don't argue.

And don't bow out with a comment that had literally nothing to do with what the conversation was even about, please. :\

Zero Suit Samus with more emphasis on guns and magic than whips. I'd still like to see her as a character, if not just in my imagination like Rayman and Crash Bandicoot.

We're talking about Regginator beating ass after he trains, I'm perfectly on point.

:\ no.

It wasn't supposed to relate to that conversation, it was merely a transitional sentence.

It made you look REALLY passive aggressive.

Anywayyyyyy, seriously though, let's talk about the amiibo use and the custom movesets.

Custom Movesets:
All special moves have 3 variations, Mario's were shown off, here:

amiibo:

Just like some of us thought, you can transfer movesets through amiibo, though Sakurai suggested folks aren't expected to buy every one (though he definitely will), just the ones you want. (he wanted all of them)

With that in mind, I'm wondering if they'll let anything get transferred like that through any figure, or if you'll need Mario to transfer Mario. Some people watching the direct interpreted the amiibo characters put into Smash as AI characters based on how you play... is that for real? Cuz I must have missed that. Sounds cool though. Def getting me quite a few of those amiibos though.

So no flamethrower F.L.U.D.D. Curses. Scalding water is nice, though.

amiibo is a really cool concept, but I'm not sure how much I'd delve into custom movesets anyways. I plan on playing most For Glory, where that stuff can't be used. I'm not sure if I'll buy any of them.

It's so hard to avoid the arguing ahhh......

ANYway. I hope my 3DS can handle the force with which I tend to press the buttons in fighting games....

Oh, and do we know if all the stages are known yet or not?
I'm still really hoping for one set on Grima's back.

Yes I'm still stuck on Fire Emblem it's one of the few series I actually know decently well.....

Edit: Sorry Agro didn't see you put that topic out there, I'll give my thoughts on that later I was just flailing to find something non-argumentative to say.

At least Luigi's not the only Mario brother who can get a Shoryuken, now.

So, we have new characters. That means I get to do my favorite part of these reveals: Watch the dozens of live reactions videos and get hyped all over again, because their excitement transfers to me.

I figured those two were a given anyways, but now that you mention it, yeah. It's probably a good indication.

Holy crap I just got a look at Palutena's screenshots on the site, Palutena Kirby is adorable.

Pac-Man Kirby is kinda weird, but I don't dislike it necessarily.

I feel like we'll have the option to make the D-Pad function as the C-Stick. I think it just doubles as a second control option and so if you don't plan on using it Sakurai will likely give us the ability to let it do something else.

My gut is that the amiibo will only work with that character. And yes, you can "train" the FS character to level 50. All I know is I'm going to snap buy Charizard. They better have one at least.

Also, on the note of changing moves, the ability makes me think the 3 Miis will each be their own character options. This means the 43 we have now are actually 45. Add in Ice Climbers who have a good shot to make it since they have an enemy in smash run, we'll be at 46. Ranom makes 47. 48 is a nice number to use when breaking down character select screen, so we still have 1 more.

Yes, I'm kind of reaching, but god damn it, I have gotten irrational about my want for Sceptile in the game. He just fits in SO well.

In addition to the Sceptile thing, I'd say your prediction for a larger roster might also be coming from the fact some of your predictions for characters getting cut didn't pan out so there are more fighters than you expected initially.

...33, not 43.

Yea. If you had told me that Toon Link, Ice Climbers, and Game & Watch had made it in I would have laughed at you. ATM the only cuts look to be R.O.B., Wolf, Snake, Lucas, and Jigs (with Jigs having the best odds of making it back). Seeing as how I would have said not that long ago that Climbers, G&W, and Ike would have been cut on top of 2 extra Mii characters coming from left field, the cast is much bigger than I would have guessed.

...33, not 43.

Game & Watch is in, so that 34.

Every character from the leak has been shown so I'd assume this hold for the others giving us Shulk, Chrom, and Rhythm Heaven guys, 37.

Meta Knight, Falcon, Falco, Ganon, Wario, and Ness are like .0000001% to be cut so thats 43.

Ice Climbers having an enemy in Smash Run would make them not being in the game strange so they have a decent shot at making it back. This makes 44. On this note, other stuff being in the game like Samurai Goroh and Waluigi with a Wario icon means those two specifically have even better odds of returning.

Lastly we have 2 extra Mii Characters since I think its REALLY unlikely they'll end up all in 1 character option (the customization options they have makes this all the less likely) and we have 46 character options.

Since we know random is in the game, thats option 47. IMO 48 is a much better number to work with when making a grid for character slection than 47, so I think we have one more slot.

The Mii Fighter will end up as one option. You'll select the type of fighter in the same option that you select the Mii you want to use.

If they were separate spots, Sakurai would have announced them in separate "_______ jumps into battle"-type shot like he did for ZSS and Sheik.

Instead they were all put in the same thing for Mii Fighter. I would not count them as two more slots. (plus I'm pretty sure he knows it would not go over well)

I think what makes them different is the fact that they are all the same character, but with 3 distinct movesets. So they would all be announced at the same time even if they are 3 different slots. I will free admit that they can certainly end up as 1 slot, but I do think they have a nonzero chance at also being broken apart.

I don't see why people would be any more if they took 3 slots as compared with 1. They are distinct characters meaning they would have needed to spend about the same amount of time balancing each one as if they any other group of 3 fighters. Again, I will free admit that I could be wrong about that, but I don't see why they would need less time than someone else.

People would be mad because they'd feel they left out 2 characters they'd rather have in by making the Mii 3 slots. We're okay with ZSS and Sheik because everyone likes them, but Miis... lots of people hate miis.

Its just sad that people wouldn't realize that those 2 extra Mii characters are full fledge characters so they are already taking 3 slots even if they end up as just 3 characters under 1 character select option.
