Watch it be a Persona character then suddenly: PERSONA 5 COMING TO WII U. PERSON 4 COMING TO 3DS.

...man, I wish Nintendo had bought Atlas.

We all wish.  Instead, Sega bought Atlas.  Oh well, here's to SMTxFE hopefully being revealed in the next major Nintendo direct.

I've just realized something else we didn't see in the Direct.

Sonic's Final Smash could still be Super Sonic.

I'd be fine with that if the running time and/or destructive power was nerfed, but if not...

My friend and I were talking about this earlier about potential cuts and we're split on Meta Knight. Think he can come back as a playable character or would he be unfixable and be demoted to Assist Trophy?

I'm hoping that this new team of developers would be able to dream up a way to effectively redesign Meta Knight. They had the foresight to make Lucario better and nerf Pikachu's Thunder, among other things.

I think the For Fun/Glory is a gesture of good faith towards the competitive community as well, so they'd note things like Meta Knight and Super Sonic being banned from tournaments.

Well, For Fun/For Glory is a thing.

A lot of the competitive community has been wondering whether For Glory is really just another joke from Sakurai. After all, they don't ONLY play on Final Destination (though the Japanese might have for a while, which would explain that if true.)

You'd think they'd include Battlefield too, but when I think back to my competitive experience, it's always been at Final Destination.

I don't think it's a joke. Rather, it'd be a mighty cruel joke if it was.

I think in future iterations, they'll probably start including battlefield. Those two are really all you'd need for a competitive Smash Bros thing. But adding in different issues like changing platforms or platforms of different heights or setups.

I totally believed it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

Im glad it is false.

But yeah if Nintendo buys Sega, which they will, eventually, then all the Atlus stuff will come with it

.....not that I ever played any Atlus games but I haerd they were good.

That is in no way a definitive. No one knows if Sega is selling. No one knows if Nintendo is buying. And God knows, if either were, they'd be competing with other companies.

Though Sony has been in some hot water financially recently...

Except they don't and they make more than a few games for other systems?

Nintendo has a lot to gain from being grabby with other studios.  They're playing it too safe.

Sega, Capcom, Square Enix, and Konami are the 4 companies I'd like to see Nintendo go after.

I may accidentally include games they don't ACTUALLY own the rights for (mainly looking at Square Enix), but most of these are under one of the 4's control

From Sega: Sonic, Yakuza, Golden Axe, Panzer Dragoon, Shenmue, Monkey Ball, Virtua Fighter, SMT

From Capcom: Mega Man, Street Fighter, MvC, Ace Atourney, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter, Okami, Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Strider

From SE: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Dragon Quest, Star Ocean, Bravely Default, Deus Ex, Thief, Sleeping Dogs, Chrono

From Konami: Bomberman, Castlevania, Contra, DDR, Frogger, Gradius, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Suikoden, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Zone of the Enders

Getting exclusivity on one or two of any of these companies would drastically improve the libraries of any of Nintendo's systems moving forward.

I see no reason for Sonic's Final Smash to be anything else. Well I didn't quote who said something about Sonic's Smash because I'm lazy.

It is a great FS and nothing is wrong with it ='D

OK I admit it may be a tad bit on the unfair side

But I think it balances out with the overall attack with the character
