That pleases me, Kirby's been a favorite of mine since the first game. The change to Hammer Flip is cool as well.

Personally, I like the fact the 'upgrade' to Kirby's Hammer Flip makes it more like DeDeDe's. Since, you know, they basically are the same hammer, just used slightly differently by different characters.
Kinda' like how Gannon and Captain Falcon have the same moveset, but have clear differences.

Is everyone forgetting Kirby's final smash?

Unpleasant Female Dog.

Pretty fitting; I loved playing Return to Dreamland and even though it doesn't seem like they will be showing all the other Mega forms, this is satisfying.

I think so, given that Drasna's room was seen as well

I wouldn't imagine a separate stage for the Elite 4 platforms, but if there are customizable Final Destination Stages, then something like an alt. stage like this would do.

I have hopes for a Elite Four stage that changes it's field at random.

PONG! Yes, I'm still stuck on that.

As for Mewtwo vs. Greninja, I won't go into it too much. But I will add my opinion. I never once thought it was Mewtwo. And as soon as I saw the attack, I knew it was Water Shuriken and knew who it was, so for me it's difficult to see where the confusion is.

Now, I know Sakurai trolls, BUT he was much less subtle with his trolling with the other stuff. (Ridely shadow, Palutena trophy, Waluigi doll right in the middle of the screen.) So I am not sure it was intentionally a troll move.

I have hopes for Isaac becoming a playable character, and he has enough variation in his potential moveset that would make him much more than a generic swordsman.  He'd be a magic knight-kind of character with a few assists from the Djinn he has on him.

I don't think I ever posted who I want to see make it as new characters, so I'll do that now. Ridley, Palutena, K.Rool, Shulk, Chrom, and Sceptile (would be Blaziken, but we need the grass start). I guess I could add Bowser Jr. to that list too.

Shulk and Chrom would be pretty cool.  Ridley would be just... awkward.  It's not about the size, but it's really more or less on how he would be scaled compared to his frame.  It would be very easy to size him wrong and he would end up looking rather ridiculous due to his body's frame being rather slender in proportion to his size.

Well, as for characters I want but are also reasonable choices, Waluigi and Samurai Goroh are out of the running since they've been confirmed as Assist Trophies. All that's left on my list is Travis Touchdown, Bayonetta, and some Tales character, preferably Kratos.

EDIT: Heh, so I was looking on tumblr for Greninja gifs and I found this.

Ridley can work. Aesthetics can be worked around. It's easier than people seem to be making it.

Btw, here's all the pokemon shown at the start of the Charizard/Greninja trailer: A lot of them are either announced pokeballs or were pokeballs in previous games.

Bold is unannounced (to my knowledge), underlined would be returning.

So here they are:

Dedenne

Bellossom

Chespin

Oshawott

Snivy

Goldeen

Staryu

Eevee

Metagross

Swirlix

Darkrai

Electrode

Palkia

Entei

Gardevoir

Latias

Kyogre

Gogoat

Zoroark

Snorlax

Giratina

Kyurem

Lugia

Suicune

Latios

Deoxys

Meloetta

Keldeo

Victini

Spewpa

Fennekin

Inkay

Announced that I didn't see:

Arceus

Xerneas

Meowth

Yes aesthetics can be worked around...in some cases.

Ridley was ridiculously huge compared to anything in universe and we have already seen what he looks like put into the game as a boss.

His power level is also higher than a lot of characters but then again power levels are easy to dumb down and they do it often.

His size is just way to far out there.

It's like trying to make Wailord a playable character *shot*

Idk, Ridley was only a little less than twice the size of Samus in Super Metroid. He'll be lanky, but I think it's entirely possible to design him in a way that fits in with the rest of the characters. There's also his design in the Melee trailer/opening:

He looks like he'd fit like that.

OTHER THING I totally wanted to mention: I think it's a bit interesting that they said Winter 2014 and not Holidays 2014.

You've always been able to throw Electrodes. However it looks like you can throw them farther before they explode, in the previous games you had to throw it really quickly, and even then the explosion could sometimes still get you.

All this talk of Ridley reminds me... One thing regarding ZSS, which I think I brought up in a status before, I was always thrown off how she's supposed to be physically weak in Smash Bros. One, she's a formidable physical form, standing at 6'3" and 198lbs. Two, she was raised and trained on Zebes, which has gravity several hundred times Earth's, she's been through DBZ-level of gravity training a large portion of her life.

1) Holy crap, how is she 198?

2) Is Zebes like that? My very little research shows Earth at 5.9 trillion teratons and Zebes at 4.8 trillion teratons.

It's because a lot of men work on the game and she's a woman.

Earth is 5.9 billion teratons, actually. I've seen varying discussions with various calculations, but here's just some quotes from what I've read (I just copied/pasted, the text coloring's a bit weird):

While Zebes' diameter is similar to Earth's, its mass is 4.8 trillion teratons, or 4.8 trillion trillion tons. This is equivalent to 4.8 septillion tons, whereas Earth's mass is 5.9 sextillion tons. This makes Zebes' acceleration due to gravity of 9,360 m/s² approximately 960 times greater than Earth's of 9.807 m/s².

She was raised on Zebes, which according to the logbook entry from Metroid Prime, has a mass of 4.8 trillion teratons (or 4.8*10^27 kg), and according to the website, a radius of 5850 km. Calculating the force of gravity on Zebes (g = GM/r^2), gives us ((6.67*10^-11)*(4.8*10^27))/(5850000^2) = 9355.25 m/s^2, which is over 950 times stronger than Earth's force of gravity, 9.8 m/s^2.

As for Samus somehow being 198 pounds, I can only assume that the Chozo stuff in her system makes her more dense or something. Muscle may weigh more than fat, and I'm sure Samus has plenty of it, but I don't think she could look the way she does and be 198 pounds without something going on. Or maybe at that height it's entirely possible, I dunno biology.
