Shradow
In between the matches I was having with my friends I was going to make a post about how I'm still trying to get the hang of using the falling kicks but in the last couple I'm starting to get it down more, almost there. Also, I'm not sure if her dair is way too powerful or if I just use it to get kills right on the edge so often that it's just confirmation bias on my end. Because a lot of moves kill a lot earlier than you expect if you're right on the edge of the platform. But it still seems to have quite good knockback even at lower percentages. Flame Dragon
Bayonetta was teased to be Zero Suit with more guns Bayonetta is released as Zero Suit with more guns Bayonetta is better then Zero Suit, since she is Zero Suit with more guns :^) A fact the game acknowledges by having one of Bayo's victory images being with ZSS. I'm enjoying both to be honest. It took me a while to get the hang of Bayo since I couldn't for the life of me remember how to make her shoot and what not- basically had no idea how she functioned. Playing against a Lvl 9 CPU Bayo until I won was a good way to learn . . . I managed to pick up Corrin easily enough, though I still have difficulty landing her Side B. Bayo is certainly a character worth putting time into. When she works she looks like she would be SUPER fun. Yea, Corrin's Side B is taking some getting use to. You need to hit B again super late to actually stick the lance thingy in the ground. Too many Corrin players who I ate alive with Bayonetta. That downward Afterburner Kick catches many players off-guard. I can't for the life of me do the downward side b. I'm pretty sure you just push down after inputting it but I just have not be able to get the timing. I guess this is what training mode is for though. Shradow
You have to hit down before the kick, activating it while you're fast falling.
Airride
Corrin's Side B also seems to stick into the ground if you can IMMEDIATELY extend the lance arm. As in, like, probably a 2 or 3 frame window, if that. It's...definitly a tricky move to use, but I think it'll be one of their most powerful if mastered. Progenitor
You have to hit down before the kick, activating it while you're fast falling. Or, if you prefer and as Master Hero Soccer Guy told us, you can simply input it like a Hadoken, as that will automatically press down for you as you roll the stick in a quarter circle. It's...definitly a tricky move to use, but I think it'll be one of their most powerful if mastered. Indeed, you have to basically double tap B within the very first few frames, but you can't tap it too early or it will buffer it after the First Actionable Frame. Very difficult to do in practice I've found. Instead, what I like to do is simply short hop continuously. In doing so, I mix in Empty Jumps, Nair (barely has any lag at any point of the move), Fair, and, with enough distance or a read, Dragon Lunge. Since Corrin doesn't use the lunge to hop while airborne, it's MUCH easier to time landing it in the ground to use as an approaching tool or for a hard read pin. Some other neat tricks with Lunge is the fact that you can sick the side of the stage with it too. I've actually killed quite a few people with that, since even if you are right up against the ledge Corrin will be thrown back to the minimum pin distance away from the wall, effectively protecting you from smash attacks that hit below the ledge and such. I'm not sure if anyone has figured it out yet, but I can't seem to Cancel Dragon Lunge after I have an opponent pinned. I can do both kicks and the Jump, but the only way I can drop-down cancel it is by doing nothing and hoping my opponent doesn't mash out before it cancels automatically. Spacing is really one of their strong suits, so being able to hit close range with NAir and FAirs as well as zoning some characters out with Side B is really good. Plus, if you can get a tipper off, it's ridiculously powerful. Just note you can only use it once while in the air, so no cheaping out recovery or anything. vla1ne
corrins side b. i always forget about the damn kick that comes after it. i've taken too many hits from that damn kick trying to punish the stab. i'm actually maining him and i still let people hit me with it. i'm pathetic. bayonetta is essentially the angel of edge spiking. her down smash is just too perfect for killing anybody coming back to the edge. Lonk
I discovered a kill combo with Bayonetta, and it seems to work at its best around 106%+ Side B (dive version) -> a single Fair strike -> Side B (standard version in the air) -> Up Air The timing and button combination can be a bit tricky to pull off, but it's inescapable if you hit the opponent at the right spot on his/her body at the proper kill percent. I'd show it, but I don't have any type of recording equipment at all. Can someone else verify this for me?

Even better, her down air. It has a spike hitbox basically the whole way down, and it stops way earlier compared to down airs like Sheik's, Sonic, Zamus, etc. and you can very easily recover. Most of the time I'll just jump off the ledge and spike someone recovering, then jump right back up.
Agro
Corrin's funking broken. Just in case none of you are aware. Side B: All around probably Corrin's best move. It can basically do everything if used correctly. The amount of stupid maneuverability it offers with platforms is amazing.Bair: Safe on everything, because of how it was made to help you recover, it also offers built in spacing and can even just be used for the spacing necessary to throw out a forward smash or side b. Oh and it's also a kill move.Up Air: Reliable Kill move. Wide-ass range.Dair: Low landing lag for the type of move it is, and multiple hits make it a good edge-guard option. Barely trades with anything that would otherwise punish similar moves.Fair: It's okay. Combos at really early percent. Wide range, good for spacing.Dragon Ascent: Not that great of a recovery option but it's a kill move in the same vein of Roy's Blazer. Though it works better in the air. Could give Corrin a 50/50 like Shiek.DownB: Besides Witch Time, it's the best counter in the game. But it's still a counter.Neutral B; It's a better version of ZSS's Neutral B which is insane. Even without this move, Corrin would be a high tier character. With it? WowUp Smash: It has a tipper like Marth or Shiek's up smash, but unlike the latter, the tip can reach platforms on Dreamland and Smashville, which is really really important.Forward Smash: There is a hitbox near Corrin when they're CHARGING THE funking MOVE. And if used correctly can combo into the actual move, which has range for a little over a third the length of Final Destination and a tipper at the end. In summary, Corrin is Marth 4.0, Zero Suit Samus, Diddy Kong, and Roy in one character. Bayonetta is good too. Hard to play. Not sure why you're all saying she's better than Zero Suit Samus though. Zero Suit has a zero to death combo that you can't reliably DI out of. I can't for the life of me do the downward side b. I'm pretty sure you just push down after inputting it but I just have not be able to get the timing. I guess this is what training mode is for though. You have to hit down before the kick, activating it while you're fast falling. It's the same as doing the command for Ryu's Hadouken. Half circle down. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
So maybe once the balancing happens, I'll see if Corrin is still as fun seeming, buy them, and for once try to have a true main.

Toffee.
Implying Bayonetta doesn't have zero to death combos. Now all the scrubs can fap to this for the next 2-5 hours while they try to mimic this exact routine in-game, to use it online. that's swell. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
So I'm curious. With all these balances and fixes and such. Have Marth and Lucina become more different? Shradow
I don't know if it's just me, but the past few days online, the majority of my games have had slight but noticeable input lag. I know it's not on my end because I have amazing college internet that's never had problems the past few years. I don't know if the servers have been a bit off since the update or I'm just getting unlucky with my opponents' internet.
