^  I mean, he's not wrong. Smash Bros. has been an entirely console series up to this point, and they had to downgrade a lot to get it onto the 3DS in the first place when they could've focused entirely on a WiiU version. I imagine part of it was how well the 3DS was selling compared to the WiiU.

I vehemently disagree. I'd rather play a Mario Party-esque smash game where we're actually playing Smash Bros every 15 seconds instead of playing by myself for 5 minutes only to be screwed over because I got race, and none of the speed power ups spawned for me.

Yeah, I do understand that. I mean, the 3DS is so much smaller than the Wii U, and Smash was originally designed for consoles anyway.

So yeah, it's a treat that it ended up on the 3DS, but I can't help feeling a bit jealous of those that have it for Wii U.

Playing Smash Tour over and over seems to be a good way to amass custom moves. It sure is grindy though...

Half the characters down, half to go.

Best way to get customs are the orders. Crazy when you need a ton and Master when you only care about a few franchises. Thats how I got them all + all hats.

Using a custom Fox with a first strike advantage, home-run bat equipped, and quicker swings with bats helps me plow through Crazy Orders. Just choose the 1v1 options, particularly metal or giant fights. Shoot em then hit em.

It's still quite a painstaking process if some opponents or stages prove to be uncooperative, but if done right you can go past 100.

I only used the custom stuff for the 20 achievement with Mario. And yea, the items and stage can throw you more than anything else in the Orders. I know your normally clued in on what will be going on, but I rarely pay attention to them to notice in time.

  • 2 weeks later...

Yo

We should actually have a tournament this time, now that there's a tourney mode and everything.

Would you guys be down for that? If we do it, it should probably be in a couple weeks to give people time to find a time that works and commit.

Still like the idea, but we've tried that before as you know and I doubt it'll happen this time. Not that I'm underestimating you, but I doubt everyone else will get to it.

In other Smash news, I have bought my Luigi Amiibo (Nicknamed the classical 'Weegee') and so that brings my Amiibo list up to- 11.

I could've bought Sheik today as well, but I'll quickly level Weegee up to Lvl 50 then go out and buy Peach, Sheik, and Diddy Kong.

oh boy amiibo talk

I found Wii Fit Trainer out in the wild the other day, apparently TRU restocked them. Also found a bounty of Dark Pits at Best Buy, more common than literally every other amiibo they had. Currently sitting at 13 of the little bastards.
