Flame Dragon
I mean why wouldn't it be allowed? He's not offered special privilege (except the fact that he got a bye round 1 LAWL) Just because he works for Nintendo shouldn't offer him any advantage in a tournament where all the legal characters and stages have been in the game for a while now. I know, it still strange for me to see an official Nintendo employee, and a pretty high up one, competing in the event. Also pretty sweet though. Great to see Nintendo getting behind the event at this level.

I think I'm missing a convoluted explanation in there, because I think his replacement was random/weird.
Airride
Hey guys, I need some advise.Currently I main ROB and G&W, and I need help filling out some secondaries to deal with a few characters.I face problems with rushdown characters (C. Falcon, Sonic, etc.) and Projectile spam characters (Link, Villager)Anybody know any characters that are good against those two strats? I especially need soemone to deal with villager, as ROB cant touch them at all, and G&W seems...particularly vunerable.

I especially need soemone to deal with villager, as ROB cant touch them at all, and G&W seems...particularly vunerable. It's a huge nuisance if anyone uses any of those characters, especially if they're pretty skilled at them. Yet they all use different tactics, and it's going to have to take some different strategy to beat them. For me, I main and specialize in Yoshi, who has multiple advantages of having a great dash attack, long grab range, and unique hitboxes for punishes and combos. For characters that do projectile harassment, eggs can counter that, and that lead into a mixup if you do some air throws or catch them off guard, as long as you mix up your trajectory. Fast fall N-Air or Short Hop F-Air can also catch your opponent off guard and can lead into a jab combo, and this is used to jump and evade projectiles mostly. If you can get them into a higher percent, you can harass them with your U-air and use eggs as a frametrap. For rushing and aggressive players, I try to shield against them and try to use my grabs. IMO Yoshi is flexible enough to evade most of those aggressive threats, and I've been particularly successful. Though most of the time you have to adopt to their strategy and counter. If you pay attention to how they function, you can read them and realize they might keep doing the same thing. Usually you wait for Sonic to finish using his Side and Neutral Specials and then catch him while he's off-guard, but the important thing is your spacing with him. Falcon likes to rush towards you, so long grabs, your projectiles, and spacing can keep him at bay while DI'ing away from his throw followups as well. Villager will often use a Lloid + F-Air combo, and can rush you with his Up and Down-Airs, so fast characters can deal with his easier without any projectile use, but generally a Villager main can be decimated if you play slowly and carefully, even with other slower, projectile using characters. Link is tough, but the key is your spacing against his sword since his Side-Special and arrows can easily pressure you. He's an honest hard one to beat for me, but usually Yoshi or other fast-fallers or fast-attackers seal the deal. If you're using Rob, Laser and Top harassment need to be top notch at a constant rate. Shoot the laser in the correct direction when possible and use the top in good moderation without having your opponent grab them. Rob needs to be a bit defensive, but whenever they're vulnerable, Down Throw into U-Air does the trick. But generally, Rob's aerials are insanely powerful if you use them correctly. For G&W, I generally recommend you watching GimR's G&W plays on Youtube in tournaments. G&W is weird, but you might need to play neutral with him. He's got good combo-centric aerials, and then followup into a ton of things from his Down Throw, like N-Air or the Judge Hammer. Using Up-Special as an offensive move as well can also throw your opponent off if you use it right.

I especially need soemone to deal with villager, as ROB cant touch them at all, and G&W seems...particularly vunerable.I find this funny, because I main aggressive rush down characters like the Captain, and I have a hard time with ROB.They always catch me with side B and dat fully charged laser.Against other rush down characters, what I do is play defensively. Since usually they are better at the combos and stuff, I usually attempt to perfect shield and or spot dodge, and while they deal with cool down lag, counterattack. This works surprisingly well, especially if I play Little Mac. Link is annoying to me, but usually I shield arrows and then close distance, dodge boomerang and get ready to block side smash, and then attack, or just catch bombs and throw them back. This works for me anyways.... Maybe it can help you.
Airride
In regards to Yoshi; I have absolutly no idea how to angle eggs. I've practiced, and I have no clue how it works. Maybe if I wasn't playing on a 3DS, especially one with more or less no Circle Pad, I'd have an easier time. With Sheik; No funking clue how she works. Have faced like 2 or 3 on For Glory. Can't find any good guides on her. If my win record of >60% says anything (out of ~1000 battles), it's that I'm really not very good at this game. Maybe I should stop playing, considering how I usually get frustrated at it...

I probably suggest looking at some Smash Tourney videos, especially VGBC Bootcamp's. You can study a lot from the best Smash players who cover almost nearly every Smash character, proving that it's more skill than tiers to make winning possible. Learning from their opponent-reading skills and offense measures can generally make you more accustomed to For Glory.

Airride
ROB is like the only character I know how to use recently (He was my main from the start). Still, I have trouble with campy links (honestly the only projectile camper I have trouble with) just because no matter what, it seems, we always trade, and link has WAY better kill options than ROB.
