Toffee.
So..... Anyone find it a little odd how, despite the fact Ryu's Down+B "stuns" people, it makes them fall over and gives you an awkward chance to get a free hit in?Yet, realistically, the move is so idioticlaly gimmicky by itself, I don't really see the need to make it THAT obscure.Though, it does look really damn cool. Shradow
That move is reversible, like the Warlock/Falcon Punch right? It looked like it in the trailer.
Flame Dragon
That move is reversible, like the Warlock/Falcon Punch right? It looked like it in the trailer. Yes it is. After you input the command to do it, you can just push the control stick in the other direction to have him attack the other way. Pretty sure I said it before but its one of my favorite moves. Lonk
All I ask for in the next update is a nerf on airdodging and rolling. Those two things unnecessarily stall out the game for much longer than it should.
Makο
Can you DI out of Ness's PKFIRE spam into fsmash? I've gotten out of it before, but it's inconsistent for me with Shulk. Also, I discovered you can fit "NANISORE?!" as a tag, and I've never been happier.

Astro Dude
Not bad they're adding Ryu and Roy but could they at least give Roy an English va?
vla1ne
Not bad they're adding Ryu and Roy but could they at least give Roy an English va?why? Him and marth are the only two who've never had one, It'd feel weirder imo if they switched him to English.
Βyakuya
Not bad they're adding Ryu and Roy but could they at least give Roy an English va? If they did then that would make Roy and possibly Marth lose their authenticity. It would be too awkward to change their voices into English for the English version; It was intentional for signifying the franchise's bigger significance in Japan I believe. Can't you ever slow down on complaining about dubs?

vla1ne
They had to make the weeaboos happy. ShooshIt's not really being a weeaboo imo, It's simply that most players are used to the Japanese voices already. remember fox's old voice? tried and true is better in the case of aesthetics. Shradow
How is the horizontal recovery on Roy's Up Special? It looked like it took him a good distance in the trailer.

Its pretty trash actually. I think his is the worse of the 3 between him, Marth, and Lucina. At least thats what it felt like.

At least thats what it felt like.As far as kill moves go, it's hands down the best up smash of the FE swordsmen (robin is a magic swordsman, he does not count). As far as recovery though, yeah, it's a little lower height than either marth or lucina's, but not by too much. You'll notice a lot more if you're used to playing as marth and lucina though. I meant in terms of recovery. I admittedly don't use the Up B as a kill move even though a bunch of characters have one that is viable for it. Shradow
My favorite kill Up B is using the last swing of Ganondorf's (not the actual grab) to kill people coming back from the top blastline. I've mentioned it before, but I've gotten really really good at it.

Shradow
It's not the highest knockback but it kills relatively well, if they're high enough up. I just find it really fun to finish someone off who's on their way down with it if I hit them really far up but not far enough to KO them. I accidentally did it one day and since then I've practiced doing it a lot.
Βyakuya
Can't you change the angle of Roy's Up-B by holding a directional input while recovering?
Flame Dragon
Can't you change the angle of Roy's Up-B by holding a directional input while recovering? O wow, you can. Didn't notice that. Also, I spend too much time as Ryu trying to do the Street Fighter commands. I can do them a decent amount of the time, but the quarter circle is especially hard for me to get on command. Toffee.
So Ryu can, like..... Rapidly punch/combo/etc people into oblivion if you fast enough/etc.IE, it seems like you could do a lot of silly things with him. ..... Just waiting for someone to make an MLG Ryu video or some other crazyness.

If your opp doesn't Di then it's basically an infinite combo that you can keep Shoryukening all day~
Agro
How is the horizontal recovery on Roy's Up Special? It looked like it took him a good distance in the trailer. It's pretty okay. You'll never be able to move in a straight horizontal line, but you can go from straight up to like a 30 degree angle. I meant in terms of recovery. I admittedly don't use the Up B as a kill move even though a bunch of characters have one that is viable for it.You should REALLY start doing that with Roy. Down throw-up B is a true combo. Also it's an amazing punishing kill move.
Makο
...what the hell is the input for Shoryuken? Forward, Down, Diagonal? What is this edit: nevermind, that's a zigzag. I'm a numbskull

I'm a numbskull Its called a Z motion in the fighting game circle. All the special (minus down) can be input via their normal Street Fighter command.
