Flame Dragon
It was uploaded on Nintendo's official YT not long after it ended. Thank you. Will look later. ~British Soul~
Thank you. Will look later. You're welcome. I had to re-watch some of it myself because Twitch buffered, but I managed to catch most of it anyway.
Fusion X. Denver
I like Roy more than I used to. Had a particularly frustrating bout with him in Classic, but overall I'm a fan.And Ryu's pretty interesting. I like using him so far, though I do need to figure out how to do combos at some point. Βyakuya
I've been toiling with all 3 characters so far, and it's been a pain trying to properly combo with them against other players, especially when they know how to counter some learned moves. Lucas though, has been the best character for me since his side tilts/aerials and neutrals are pretty strong and can do some good spacing and long grabs. Roy is neat but it's a bit challenging considering the importance of close combat, and I'm still working on him. Ryu is fun but he's very complicated especially when all his strong punch/kick moves are condensed from 6 to 2 buttons. The easiest way to get into a combo is probably by N-air into Low Kick D-Tilt, then combined with a Hadouken or Shoryuken. That or just carefully using Focus Attack. But I guess the best way to practice would be using the SSF4: 3Ds Edition.
Flame Dragon
So, after playing with all the characters Lucas: Pretty much the same as Brawl. I liked him then and I like him now. Roy: I actually really like him. He hits hard, can kill fast, and isn't that slow. His biggest issue is range which is fine with me since I rush in head first normally anyway. Ryu: Feels like he has the most going on. The Street Fighter turn input for moves certainly makes him very interesting. Also, how do you get the Inkling trophy? I'm guessing its with the outfit, but want to double check.

I don't remember which one it is, but once you buy either the Inkling outfit or the Splatoon hat it automatically gives you the trophy for it as well. I actually was very surprised that Roy plays so differently from his past incarnation- which was basically just Marth. But now he is an in between of Ike and Marth. His moves are more akin to Marth's but at the same time has the edge that Ike's moves have. I think he's now going to be one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters- though I'll still enjoy Lucina. Ryu for me is alright. I feel like he has more speed than Ganondorf but is nearly as powerful. The Street Fighter input IS a big difference and I can see him becoming a very potent character; I actually managed to get off the Street Fighter input for the Up B and made it powerful enough to quickly kill my opponent. Also, glad that the Hadoken cannot be spammed . . . Lucas is the same- and I'm fine with that. Now all we need is Wolf and Ice Climbers to return and we'll have every fighter from Smash Brothers back. No I'm not counting Pichu or Young Link. Jake the Sage
Though honestly the only reason for that is, well, I enjoy the fan theory of Pichu becoming the new Pikachu and Young Link being the new Link. It just fits too well and I don't want it to be disproved.

It just fits too well and I don't want it to be disproved. Pretty sure it was actually in reference to the other PT Pokemon. Personally, while I think Pokemon could get away with 1, MAYBE 2, more characters, I'd really rather someone else thats new. Also This is going to be this stage at all times isn't it. I saw a penis and a 9/11 joke. Stay classy, Miiverse. Ryu is pretty cool, but the short range on his bread and butter moves bothers me somewhat. Roy is amazing and is undoubtedly better than Marth in this game, and Lucas is cool with PK Freeze being practical now.
Phantom Roxas
Not sure about Pichu, but Toon Link, for all intents and purposes, is Young Link. Or they bring in Young Link and it's like the Pit and Marth clones.
Shradow
They should bring in Young Link but do what they did to him in Hyrule Warriors and make his moveset Majora's Mask-based.
Fusion X. Denver
I'd be down with another LoZ rep and Majora's Mask Link seems as good a choice as any.Up B could be a Deku rising with flowers (like Olimar).Side B could be a Goron roll.Down B could be a Zora counter or a Zora slashing forward (an attack like Fire Fox). And B can be arrows.Final Smash is obviously Fierce Deity Link. Probably something akin to Mega Charizard where you move around temporarily invincible and messing sheet up. Or alternatively, do a Pokémon Trainer where Link changes masks with B and gets unique movesets depending on the masks worn. But since Sm4sh has taken transformations out, I'd say the above moveset would be the better idea here.

vla1ne
After playing roy, i'm very upset. He's better than Marth in practically every aspect. his moves have less endlag, the speed of his lighter attacks is faster, he racks up damage faster, and gets multiple hits on many of his moves. Marth really needs a buff. His range might be somewhat better, but with the current pace of his attacks, he's way more predictable and punishable than roy. as for ryu, went on for glory with little mac and captain falcon, beat down most of the ryu fighters, and then ran into somebody who was probably a massive fan of SF, because my little mac got 2 stocked hard. falcon fared better. but still lost. overall though, i like ryu. I have to get his moves down a little more, but other than that, he's glorious. i rarely saw lucas online, so i guess people didn't feel like using him as much as the big 2 reveals. On a side note, why do so many people simply stand near the edge whenever i play as little mac? I get that people used to SD with him, but i'd hope that they realize nobody's that stupid anymore. I'm perfectly fine with going into sudden death if they want to play the waiting game.
Toffee.
You know.... It honestly bothers me that DLC characters dont have custom specials. I mean, I know why that is, but like... Seems like wasted potential.

Agro
Also Lucas and Roy are amazing.Ryu....ehThis^ I feel like Ryu has a higher ceiling, but Roy and Lucas feel the best right now. It's hard to figure them out. I feel like they'll end up closer to high-mid tier (this update). Still feeling Ness is better than Roy, but I haven't been paying attention to the balance patches this update outside diddy (lol)

As already said, they want you to come in so they can just throw you off. You know.... It honestly bothers me that DLC characters dont have custom specials. I mean, I know why that is, but like... Seems like wasted potential. They could add some in later. Not good odds, but greater than zero.
Βyakuya
Ryu is a character that you can't easily pick up and just go with. That's why beating him on For Glory against newbies are pretty easy. He does best when you play a Neutral game and then combo attack when you're at a good position. He has awkward tilts but they an do well for comboing and maintaining distance as well. As for his specials, it's best to get used to how to do the SF controls instead of the B button. So pretty much you can get a good hand of him by using only 1 button. I'm sure many can just get used to button mashing for practice. An easy way to get into a combo would be to use the Focus Attack, and at that time you can also choose to do an FADC (Focus Attack Dash Cancel), which was present in SSF4. Ryu can take minor hits from his super armor in the Down Special and can attack, then you can dash forward immediately and then proceed to combo. Or you can cancel by double dashing in a direction and then possibly do anything else. You could also probably trigger a combo with a Nair or a Up-Tilt when they are airborne. Some things I have been able to do: Standard Punch -> x3 TimesLIGHT TAP D-Tilt (Up to 3 Times)-> Hadouken/Shakunetsu Hadouken (You can also connect the Hadoukens easily with MEDIUM TAP D-Tilt)/Shoryuken/TatsumakiLIGHT TAP U-Tilt (Up to 3 or more Times)->Shoryuken It's also more fun doing this all with a Smash Ball as well since you can combo into Final~ Hope this helps or guides anyone new to SF.
